Fantastic experience: I recently participated in the in-class driving session, and it was an incredibly informative and enjoyable experience. It was far easier to grasp the concepts compared to the online version, and much of that credit goes to my amazing driving instructor, Tammy. Tammy's enthusiasm and bubbly personality made the learning environment both fun and engaging. From the moment we started, she was incredibly welcoming and approachable, which instantly put me at ease. Her passion for teaching and genuine interest in her students' success were evident in every lesson. Throughout the course, Tammy demonstrated exceptional patience and understanding. She took the time to explain each concept thoroughly, ensuring that I fully understood the material before moving on. Her ability to break down steps made the learning process smooth and effective. Tammy's positive attitude and constant encouragement boosted my confidence behind the wheel. She was always quick to provide constructive feedback, highlighting areas for improvement while celebrating my progress. Her supportive approach made me feel comfortable asking questions and seeking clarification, which greatly enhanced my learning experience. In addition to her teaching skills, Tammy's excellent communication and interpersonal abilities stood out. She created a friendly and inclusive atmosphere. Fantastic experience: I’m almost done with my driving lessons at Laurentian driving school, and I couldn’t be happier with the experience! Tammy, my instructor, has been absolutely amazing throughout the entire course. She’s patient, encouraging, and explains things in a way that’s easy to understand, which has helped me build my confidence behind the wheel. With just one lesson left, I already feel well-prepared thanks to Tammy’s expert guidance. She’s made the learning process enjoyable and stress-free, and I can’t recommend her enough. If you’re looking for a fantastic driving school and an exceptional instructor, Tammy and Laurentian driving school are the way to go!

Fantastic experience: Needed my hours done quickly, Got them done within two weeks with Tammy. I’d highly recommend her

Negative experience: Never come to Laurentian driving school if you are a newcomer, visualizing minority or a female. These people would not respect you and the money you paid and treat you like trash. Definitely the worse option for a person who is new to the city and never driven before. My experience was a nightmare: 1) I had to check what are required in the G2 test and beg my instructor serval times so that he finally showed me how to do it. We never did a mock up G2 test the whole 10 hours while my friend enrolled another driving school did it every time they drive. 2) the instructor stolen my paid time for his own matters. He told me to drove on the highway then he went into a building and stayed 15 mins. Oh I also waited for 10 mins another day so that he can pick up his son. 3) He lied to me right after first class saying he doesn’t work on weekends. Guess what, I caught him teaching someone on Saturday Did I report it to the school? Ya I did. The general manager replied without a sorry, without saying anything about how to fix or improve. On the opposite, she blamed me why you didn’t tell us at the time, trying to make me feel guilty.

Fantastic experience: I've been a student with the Laurentian Driving School this Summer and Fall. I've learned a lot. The course was informative of the safety and the rules of the road in the in-class and online portion. Although, I'd especially like to Thank Jen. My driving instructor. She's a Sweet ♡︎ with patience and understanding. (Very punctual which I respected). And not to forget to mention, we've had a lot of laughs. I'm シ︎ to have teamed up with her. I enjoyed my experience with learning how to drive with her. And to let everyone know; Yes, I accomplished my goal in getting my G2 driver's license. Negative experience: All day long, this organization parks in front of our house, causing a major traffic hazzard and inconvience.

Fantastic experience: Laurentian Driving School is great! Their course content is informative, helpful, and accessible to drivers of varying levels of experience. I found that the course instructors were friendly and personable, making something nerve-wracking for a newbie driver seem simple. My instructor, Mme. Elaine Gauthier, helped ease my anxiety and helped me to feel confident in my defensive driving skills. I’m glad to have reached out for help! It helped me to pass my G2 test on the first try, and I plan on returning when I schedule my G test. 5/5, would absolutely recommend!

Fantastic experience: My driving instructor was Elaine! She helped me feel much more confident behind the wheel and I always felt safe and calm driving with her despite a pretty big fear of the road. Thanks again Elaine

Fantastic experience: (2024) I know what some of the negative reviews say, to play devils advocate I had an amazing driving experience with my driver (Amanda), she was calm and let me start in my neighborhood parking lot which relaxed my nerves, she allowed me to build my confidence and finally drive with fast paced traffic. Very informative and kept me alert with all the safety rules. Sometimes they are booked and very busy, it's all perspective. I really needed these lessons and they never let me down. I am full of gratitude. So I give 5 stars.

Negative experience: absolutely horrible experience. i was not made aware that there was a year limit to complete the driving hours and therefore they are not giving me my certificate. the school was made aware well in advance that i was moving away for school and would not be able to complete the hours during the school year. and i was told that was fine. i completed hours during my breaks and after i came home for the summer and i just passed my g2 today. now im being told that i wont be receiving the certificate. i am absolutely devastated. i received no warnings about this time limit and now they’re telling me to retake and repay for the entire course again. not to mention contacting the driving instructor is difficult and we have sent numerous complains about my driver and there was never any solution. i worked so hard to juggle university and completing my hours all for nothing. and the worst part is that they never told me my time was up. they kept letting me drive absolutely clueless

Fantastic experience: I passed my g2 few months ago. I had good experiences here. Jennifer is a great teacher. She is so kind, gentle and patient, made the driving lessons fun and understandable. The reception lady is very nice, too. They always have very busy schedules but when they take a student, they take them seriously. Highly recommend.

Fantastic experience: I passed the test and the drivers road test however I’m not sure for the final test if they would allow me to use their cars for the final test?

Negative experience: Although Louise is nice, it is taking way too long for instructors to respond, and I even had one say that she wouldn't drive to meet me instead I would need to meet her, to i don't know where. I thought this was a minimum requirement but I guess not. I am getting really frustrated with the lack of transparency and broken promises. I have not had a single good instructor in terms of responding. Not a great experience. Would recommend finding someplace with better staff.

Negative experience: I had taken the course with them back in probaby around 2002 and I thought they were really good but that seems to have changed and I've heard of people having the same negative experience as I'm having now with my child attending. I think that a big part of the problem with this place is that there aren't enough staff for the amount of clients that they take on. If they don't have enough driving instructors, I would have preferred them telling me ahead of time that there will be a long wait and I would've gone somewhere else. Instead I paid them, my child took their in-class sessions, but now we're having difficulty getting an instructor to do the driving portion with her. The first instructor assigned to us took a long time getting back to me when I'd contact him to schedule dates (nice guy but I think he had his plate full), the second instructor (also a very nice guy) assigned to us didn't show up for our scheduled appointment today and when he got back to me he cancelled our upcoming scheduled appointments, saying he can't book now until May 1. So now we need to call back on Monday to get a third instructor. At this point I just want to get this over with so that I don't need to deal with this business again. Louise is very nice to talk to on the phone and seems like a very nice person.

Negative experience: My instructor cancelled the day of the exam and I had rented their car as well but he didn't agree to lend it to me, all because I couldn't take the last 30 minutes of the session, and you have to pay more than 200 ... imagine the stress he caused me that day before 1 hour before for my exam ... it's the worst experience I've had in Canada I don't recommend him at all unfortunately I don't remember his name but he's French speaking.

Fantastic experience: For an exceptional customer service experience, this is the right place to go to. My instructor (Elaine) was awesome!…Louise at the office is one of the most amazing humans I know. I love how they dedicated so much time to helping me with my driving lessons, and making sure I was ready for my drive test. I passed (of course!). Thank you Laurentian driving school. I recommend this place to anyone looking for the best driving school in Sudbury. See you again Elaine and Louise when I come for my G test! All the best!

Negative experience: I would give it 0 but that’s not an option…my instructor could not keep contact with me until last minute and even then it was to cancel without a reason. He also didn’t know the schedule he had me planned for.

Negative experience: Having an extremely difficult time scheduling in car driving lessons with instructor assigned and receiving no assistance from office administrator

Fantastic experience: I had some trouble at first with this, but Paul was able to help me out and I greatly recommend using these folks. Very good communication and instruction. I was able to pass my test with flying colours.

Fantastic experience: Amazing driving school! I attended this school as a G1 driver in order to receive my G2. The classes were great, everyone there is knowledgeable, friendly and professional. My 10 hours in the car went great with my instructor and he helped me get my G2. I also strongly recommend taking another hour before your G road test. They are able to help you with things you didn't know you needed and will overall make you feel much more comfortable going into your test. Everyone here is so nice and helpful and I am so happy I chose this school.

Fantastic experience: A very kind driving instructor jumped our car battery when it died right before my driving test! A real lifesaver (I passed!) Thank you so much for being so accommodating and kind! Professional and lovely people.

Negative experience: The class weren't too bad but I've been promised by my driving instructor that I'd have my license but the middle of October but now its like the middle of November. Back in September I seen days available for this week I asked my driving if I should book it but he said not to because my hours weren't done yet even tho I was into the 8th month , he canceled on me 12 time in one month!

Fantastic experience: My son attended this driving school. Having not completed the driving portion of the course prior to the covid closures, Louise and her staff did everything they could to expedite the course completion once the services were allowed to re-open. Paul was extremely accommodating and did an excellent job of providing the fundamentals of city driving, and Elaine ensured that the required skills were in place in order to be successful in obtaining G2 licensing. Would highly recommend this driving school.

Fantastic experience: Had some lessons with Paul for my full G test and it was super helpful. Although I've acquired 4yrs driving experience from my home country, but could have failed cos G warrant no mistake at all in most cases and the little stuffs we overlook as drivers do count and tantamount to road test failure. Thanks Paul for a job well done. I highly recommend this driving school to anyone willing to put in for a drive test.

Negative experience: Not sure exactly why our family didn’t click with this place. The instruction time was not as informative as I had hoped and had a lot of personal stories. Also, lacking in energy and overall happiness.

Negative experience: Weirdest Driving School around. I didn't learn much about driving, if anything. They did teach me about catheters, so that was neat. But it got me a reduction on insurance. which is the real reason people go to this!

Negative experience: Laurentian driving school sucks. When I was ready to start my in class hours, my instructor kept cancelling and then after that he showed up 45 mins late to pick me up for my 1 hour lesson. And now I can't get a hold of him no matter how many times I call or text so I can cancel an hour because of something personal. Overall. Not happy about my experience at all.

Positive experience: Better worth of your money then valley driver training

Fantastic experience: Just wanted to let anyone out there looking to take a drivers ed course about my experience over the past couple of weeks at Laurentian Driving School. The school and the teachers are great. Its a fun learning environment. Lots of laughs , but at the same time very informative. The way the instructors teach the course works very well. I am completely satisfied with my experience and would recommend it to anyone.
