Fantastic experience: Elaine is an educational, safe, and amazing driving instructor to have. She's great with communication, she makes sure that your time is available and plans accordingly. I was nervous when starting my lessons, but Elaine is calm and friendly to talk to during my lessons. She provided me an email that has documents about defensive driving, parallel parking, hazard perception, etc., I was able to study at home as well as apply that knowledge on the road. She's very observant and aware while instructing, she'll provide knowledge and tips on how to be an overall safer and more defensive driver, explain what ICBC examiners are looking for on the road test, and practice going through those areas they may take you for a road test. Her lessons not only provided comfort and familiarity with the vehicle and the roads, but I learned a lot from both my successes and my mistakes while driving. Overall, even though I had already been driving on the road and highway before taking lessons, it's with the lessons and Elaine herself that my driving skills have vastly improved and because of that I was able to pass my Road Test today! Thank you Elaine for your lessons, couldn't have done it without you!

Fantastic experience: At first I booked with Elaine when I first got my learners, and Elaine was so patient with me, who was a very nervous driver to begin with. She helped me learn the basic skills I needed to become confident on the road, and confident with myself as a driver. I then re-booked with her and in a few short lessons she helped me learn to park properly every time (with amazing tactics to help me remember) and helped me develop good habits. It’s because of her I passed my road test first try. I recommend Elaine to anyone, even if you don’t think you need lessons, she is such an amazing instructor and she will 100% make sure your driving is top tier.

Negative experience: Noticed the majority of positive reviews being in a short time frame with fewer than 3 reviews so I decided to chime in. When covid restrictions hit my daughters lessons were put on hold, we were told we would be contacted once lessons would resume. We didn't hear back. My daughter reached out and didn't get any reply. Finally I reached out in early November, confirmed remaining lessons and the date of exam. part of the lessons is the exam day lesson and use of the car. With less than 2 weeks until test day Elaine calls to say she is not available for test day as she has booked with someone else in December and must have not written my daughters test date down in her new 2021 calendar. She said we shouldn't have booked so far in advance. Needless to say, we wouldn’t have had this issue from a larger driving school. Recommend elsewhere or places with 15+ years of exp or with an admin team. Their reviews are actually real.

Negative experience: Been about 1.5 years since I took this teacher. I've since gotten my N, but no thanks to Elaine. I went with another driving school and passed. There are tons of better driving schools in Maple Ridge.
