Fantastic experience: He is a no nonsense instructor, but also patient, knowledgeable, and funny. If you listen to his instructions, you will be ready for the road and pass your test. Driving was something that I put off for ten years after some hard lessons with my parents. The most important thing I got out of Ahad’s lessons was feeling comfortable behind the wheel! A major bonus is that he would pick me up from downtown (home, office, etc) and was very flexible and easy to schedule lessons with. This was challenging with another driving school that I had previously worked with. I recommend him to all my friends downtown, who are getting their license later in life. I look forward to seeing him again in 2 years for my class 5 :)

Fantastic experience: All my three teenager sons took lessons with Ahad. My sons learned how to drive and passed their road exam. Ahad's patience and knowledge were beneficial in their learning process. Highly recommend this driving school.

Negative experience: Saeed was very nice and I took two classes with him. Unfortunately we did not at all focus on any maneuver driving or skilled driving. He just took me to downtown and completely focused on signs. And to my understanding, they can't really help you with your test route if you're taking your test anywhere in Kingsway or elsewhere. Fantastic experience: Ahad is a wonderful teacher and helped me pass my N even though I was a very very nervous driver in the beginning. He gave good constructive criticism, drew diagrams to help me learn, constantly gave advice, and gives great instruction on how to parallel and reverse park. I am very grateful to him and would recommend him to anyone!

Negative experience: I cant even start to describe this horrible experience! I literally didnt feel safe and comfortable with him, he is rude and unprofessional. Just a garbage of a person. Hope u lose youe license to give classes. Cheers.

Fantastic experience: I was completely terrified about driving but taking lessons with Ahad helped me get over the initial fear. He is a great driving instructor who is very knowledgeable about the ICBC road tests. He can be a bit tough but is thorough and makes sure that you are prepared for your test.

Negative experience: I was given a gift certificate for this driving school shortly over a year ago. It’s my understanding that gift cards do not expire, but he refused to offer lessons and took the $145 without providing any service. Highly unprofessional

Negative experience: Out of anger, the driving instructor Vakili kicked me out of his car. I was dumped in the middle of nowhere during winter. When my sister arrived on scene, she found me trembling in tears. It was November, it was cold, and Vakili left without a word. Besides this, you will not be refunded for lessons you did not take. None of your questions during lessons will be answered - you will feel guilty for even asking them. If you are a young girl that the instructor is comfortable enough with, he will even have the audacity to flirt with you. Do yourself a favor and go anywhere but here.

Negative experience: The worse instructor I've ever had. You DO have other options. I purchased his package for my level 7 and when I told him I didn't want to put up with his teaching anymore and asked for a refund, he refused. So be careful before choosing him as an instructor. Firstly, he is an incompetent driver who cannot explain basic driving skills, let alone how to teach it. He's a terrible human being who in general is very controlling and immature, and emotionally punishing when it comes to mistakes that any beginner would make. A calm attitude is all that was needed. As a first time learner, I am stressed during my lessons. But his emotional and aggressive attitude only further intensified my stress levels. He's the worse human being I've ever had to deal with.

Fantastic experience: Excellent instruction. Knows his stuff, made a huge difference. Passed first time. No nonsense, straight up. Just took an additional lesson to take my class 5 and passed first time. Ahad is a great instructor and knows exactly how to prepare you to pass the first time, highly recommend.

I took 7 lessons before my driving test and passed on my first try!. was given very helpful tips as well as constructive criticism that I will forever cherish as it made me a better driver. Fantastic experience: Ahad is an experienced driving instructor, who takes his work seriously. I took 6 classes with him before passing my road test in first try. I owe all my driving confidence to him and his valuable instructions. He knows how to build the base and pillars of driving for his students. Highly recommend him.

Fantastic experience: I went from zero experience and a lot of self doubt to passing my class 7 road test on the first shot after doing the 13 lesson package. I seriously recommend the package to anyone who's thinking about it, the lessons were incredibly valuable. Ahad is very informative and will take care to focus on the area's you need the most improvement, not to mention beautiful parallel parking.

Positive experience: Prompt and punctual, sometimes even early. If you're weird about being corrected quickly about your driving, then this may not be for you. If you want to learn ASAP with no sugar-coating, he's your man.

Negative experience: Incompetent, arrogant, and agressive. I took his package and failed. I knew after after half of the classes were done what I was dealing with. Tried my best but he can't explain anything and lets you guess instead telling you like it is. That's his biggest problem. Doesn't build confidence destroys it. Took classes with another school, that could articulate all maneuvers. And passed it.

Fantastic experience: If you want to pass your road test, this is the school for you! You’ll build your driving confidence and trust in yourself in all types of traffic situations. The instructor will be very up-front and precise in identifying your knowledge and skill gaps, and he'll work with you to overcome those areas until they become second nature to you. Driving safely is the most important thing you’ll learn, as well as being relaxed and observant. Excellent teacher! Highly recommended!

Fantastic experience: I just had a 40 min warm up with Ahad and I passed the test! He is actually harder on you than the examiner lol but it’s worthy! I definitely recommend!

Fantastic experience: Great instructor, very helpful and taught me everything I needed to know to pass my Class 7 road test! I went from know absolutely nothing about driving to passing on my first try after a full lesson package. My test was booked in North Van so he even took me there for a few lessons to familiarize myself with the streets and signs. Definitely recommend to anybody learning how to drive :)

Fantastic experience: I took a few 'polishing driving' lessons with Ahad and I am looking forward to more. I failed my first try and that's why I decided to go with private lessons. Since practicing with him I feel much more confident in the canadian roads. For those reviews that say he is strict, it is better to learn well at first than to correct vicious mistakes later. He is a very kind soul and incredibly observant of every maneuver, he called me out on things I wasn't even aware I was doing. Highly recommend him!

Fantastic experience: I can’t believe I passed! Get the package! I actually started as a nervous wreck and I didn’t think it was possible to pass the road test anytime soon. In two months with the package, I passed first try. I’m really happy with the instructor. He caters the course to you and knows exactly what you could fail for and prepares accordingly. Recommended!

Positive experience: I took the 13 lessons package and it helped me a lot. It was a smooth transition from having no experience at all to a class 7 driver. This sure is value for money. The only con I saw was that the instructor is strict and will remind you again and again about your mistakes. But that worked out well as I was able to pass my test easily after the 13 lessons.

Fantastic experience: Thanks to Ahad, I now have my N License!!! I had never driven on the road before not to mention driving in north america - Ahad took me for my first lesson and it was clear that I would need more - we both decided that the complete package to the test was the best way to go - it started out with basics driving techniques and observations and progressed in order through all the requirements of been safe on the road. If you listen and take on board what he has to say and more so why he is pulling you up especially on bad driving habits, you should have no problem passing the exam. Ahad, was very accommodating when not only booking lessons, but also when booking my road test and made sure I was nice and calm and relaxed before I took the test. Finally, I would highly recommend the package deal that he has on offer, this is especially if you are a new driver, you will be a lot more confident and prepared for your road test afterwards.

Positive experience: Basically, instructor is very strict person and to be honest, he is not for everyone. If you decided to go for him then you should be ready for some tough lessons, but the strongest side is that this fact helps you to be more focus on the road and train your observational skills very effectively. I passed my road test (class 5) from the first attempt.

Negative experience: Took just one lesson and a warm up before the road test. Litterally the worst thing I could have done to ruin my test. He intimidates you for not being 'his' student, tells you that everything you know is rubbish and your teacher has been horrible and literally -and I nmean literally- tells you that you will definitely fail. Just because you have learned things in someone else's style doesn't mean it's all wrong. He doesn't even have the courtesy to not take absolutely all his personal calls while teaching you. And he charges way more than others. Not even the worst teacher/driver but one of the worst people I have ever dealt with. Don't bother going with him if you are not his own student.

Fantastic experience: I purchased a complete package and passed my N. The instructor was very helpful and explained everything I needed to work on. It was very helpful when I made a mistake he would make me keep trying to perfect it. I liked the fact that he was straight to the point and was able to help me pass. I definatly recommend !!

Positive experience: I recently purchased a complete package, and went from never driving to passing my N! Ahad is a great teacher, although his teaching style may not be for everyone. I personally learned everything quickly, but had a hard time figuring out what the instructions were at times. He just wasn't very clear. I didn't feel like there was much acknowledgement when something was done right. End of the day - I passed. That's all I wanted, and Ahad did a great job of preparing me for the test, good lessons and bad.

Positive experience: First and foremost, I passed my exam first try with West End Driving School, which is the most important thing. You will be well prepared for your test if you take the appropriate number of lessons recommended and (of course) follow the instructor's advice. On the whole the lessons were fine. At times, however, I found the instructor to be somewhat unhelpful. I would, for example, have benefitted from being talked through certain intersections I had never done before on approach, rather than have him take his wheel and position the car for me. I think more effective communication on his part would have made my experience much less stressful at times, but, as i said at the top - you will pass your exam if you take the course.

Fantastic experience: I hadn't been driving for a few years but was able to get back into the routine and kill a couple habits thanks to Ahad. Passed my test on the first try using several tricks and insights that he shared with me. Would definitely recommend his service.

Fantastic experience: My experience was pretty good! I hadn't been on the road in quite some time and that was also in a different province. I was scolded a few times for terrible habits, which went away as I got more comfortable. The instructor took me through the testing area for every lesson and gave some pointers, which ultimately led me to passing.

Negative experience: I took three lessons with this instructor. First of all, he has second steering wheel. This wouldn’t be bad, but the instructor uses it very often and basically driving instead of you. Definitely, this doesn’t help your learning. The guy doesn’t know area around Gilmore and you ended up driving in circles around the block. Moreover, the instructor literally punishes you for any mistake you make, without giving you proper feedback and a chance to learn. I don’t recommend this driving school. I managed to pass my exam only because I had started practicing with an instructor from another driving school.

Negative experience: Not the worst but gave me a few bits of really bad advice, like telling me to never use my wing mirrors. He clearly didnt want to be bothered with the warm up lesson before the test, had me drive around the block in circles. I took a few lessons with YD who were way better (though way more expensive).
