AMA Driving School

Fantastic experience: Ama new driver education program online for me was a easy and fast process to do. Take advantage of what they have to offer when becoming a member, they have for everyone just call them or go online. Now I can drive with confidence even though I will still need to practice on my own because my courses have been finished. Thanks to Mr. Sharky the instructor.

Fantastic experience: Me and my siblings all took this class with Faraz, we all enjoyed it and believe that his teaching was thorough and precise.

Negative experience: We used AMA with our first daughter and most of it was great. Until the end when the day of her test, her instructor text me and told me she was unable to use her car do to an issue, and there was no other car available. We had to scramble to find a car for her to use. Then we signed up our next daughter - she finished her online course and was waiting to hear from an instructor, never heard from anyone so we contacted AMA after a month of waiting and finally we were contacted and told they never received our file. Then she sends me dates, unfortunately mostly Thursdays and Sundays which we cannot do, and she didn’t have any more options, and she told us she was taking the month of February off. Our daughter turns 16 in February so we wanted her to get a lot of in car hours that month before her birthday so she was comfortable for her test. She then said we will need to find another instructor then. So had to contact AMA again to get another instructor. We didn’t want a male instructor, but now have to have one because they do not have any other options for a female one unless we drive her to another location. Supposed to be the “best” but still haven’t heard from the new driver almost been two months since finishing the online part - super frustrating when paying $1500 for a course. I highly recommend you look else where. We will not be recommending them for driving school.

Fantastic experience: I am very grateful for the instructor Jagandeep Sidhu that he taught me how to drive a car well, I had to quickly learn and master how to drive a car. I am also very grateful to examiner Karen, who is very kind, smiling, explained well and clearly to me, I was calm and confident to drive in the car during the test, passed. I am very pleased to have addressed the AMA.

Negative experience: TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE THUS FAR, and my son hasn't even been able to get started with his driving lessons. Paid in full in on September 11 and still no in car lessons as of October 4. Got a text from the driving instructor on October 4 that he's quitting AMA and I have to reach out to AMA and find another instructor. Why is the onus on the student to reach out to AMA to find an instructor. How does that make any sense?!??? And apparently it's likely we won't get an instructor until sometime in December or next year. Complete BS.

Fantastic experience: I recently did my drivers training here (20 hrs, 10 sessions). At first I wasn’t too excited for it, a lot of my buddies said their instructors were boring and it just was hours of time wasted to get money off insurance. My experience was much different, my driving instructor Arvinder was a fun guy we had many interesting conversations, he was helpful and taught me many dos and donts of the road. Highly recommend asking for him if you get the chance to do AMA driving school.

Fantastic experience: AMA Driving School was an incredible experience! The theoretical classes were well structured and taught expertly. My driving instructor Arvinder made each driving lesson fun, filling each session with silly stories, inside jokes, and a calm environment, which made learning manual transmission less stressful and more enjoyable. I totally recommend this service if you are a student driver!!

Fantastic experience: The online course was very well constructed and effective. It was concise and practical, perfect for anyone looking to understand the theory behind driving essentials for the road test. Not only that, but the in-class driving lessons were spectacular, as my instructor was very patient and understanding. Shanzida was highly encouraging and enthusiastic, with a great attitude towards giving constructive criticism. I would definitely recommend to new drivers looking to nail the test.

Fantastic experience: I took the AMA drivers course....Arvin was my driving teacher, he was a very kind and patient person. Also funny and was very easy to talk too, because of his dedication I got my class 5 GDL today. I am very happy to call him my friend and I would highly recommend him to any new person going into the drivers education course.

Fantastic experience: sessions are quick and easily understandable, instructor us helpful Nd motivating always work to the utmost to help solve my problems, Mr arvinder singh is the best instructor out there, his sound instructions, methodical approach to teaching and his tremendous amount of patience all of which helped me succeeded as a new driver. i

Fantastic experience: Many thanks to Arvinder for teaching me how to drive a manual! I was pretty scared to learn this new skill, but he immediately made me feel comfortable and confident, and was very good at explaining things and coaching/guiding me through everything. I am now driving my sports car on the roads with confidence! Highly recommend taking a lesson through AMA if you need to learn this skill. Arvinder was great! :)

Fantastic experience: I took lessins from ama to learn to drive manual my instructor was Arvinder Singh. Arvindrt was an exceptional instructor and he taught me to drive manual in a really effortless way I'm very thankful for the learning that I got from him as our lessons with both fun and educational. I was looking forward to every single lesson I had with him and would recommend Arvinder as an instructor for anyone.

Fantastic experience: I needed to learn how to drive a manual transmission car for a trip to Europe. Having never driven manual before, I felt very uncertain and nervous about the idea of it. Within minutes of working with Arvinder, those feelings disappeared. As the lesson progressed, my confidence improved, and now I have no concerns with my upcoming trip. Arvinder was easy to talk to and very patient.

Fantastic experience: Arvinder, my AMA instructor, was very patient with me as a novice driver and accommodated me in a very respectful and friendly manner. He has an excellent way of teaching road rules, and his consistency in keeping up with the schedule for in-car lessons even in the harsh winter weather is truly remarkable.

Fantastic experience: my driver intrusctor was extremely professional and a honest and good man I would recommend sharky to anyone I know

Negative experience: I had in person classes and driving classes 2 years ago and my in person teacher was amazing. He was very knowledgeable and kind. But my driving instructor was horrible and completely unprofessional. I wanted to cry during our sessions. She would complain about her daughter and new puppy more than explaining anything road related. I felt so rushed and disrespected during our sessions by the way she would YELL at me. This experience traumatized me and I have suppressed this for so long since I was young and non confrontational. I hope no one ever gets her. Raj or Rav is her name and at the time she had short to medium brown/black hair. Definitely not worth paying $500

Positive experience: Ladies are reception are great. Easy to talk to and get details sorted. As for the driver trainers themselves. I found communication to be less the professional to say the least. I got extended training years ago through AMA, training was great. Not sure about now either way good job HR

Negative experience: I did my road test here but just they are focusing only grab your money. The guy who was tested me, he sat just for fault finder unprofesional and unreasonable. I tried another place the way they treat just profesional and they are reasonable.

Fantastic experience: Working with my new driving instructor Samina has been such a breath of fresh air as she showed me ways of driving that has been so hard for me to master for years. Especially when it come to parking! I would really recommend her as I know after we finish all our road lessons I’ll be a better driver than I could ever imagine! Truly worth the cost.

Negative experience: Wow. I had to call them to find out how much a basic driver education package costs, when all other driving schools had their prices on their websites. How backwards. Also, they charge $919 plus GST for members for the same thing that other schools are charging between $495 to $565 plus GST. The guy on the phone couldn't tell me why they charged so much more, or why they couldn't have their prices listed on their website. Very disappointed. I am a member and was thinking of changing my insurance to AMA. Don't have a great impression of them now.

Negative experience: Terrible online program. Absolutely terrible. Dozens of Euro safety commercials produced in the 90's. Complete waste of money on that end. Not expecting much from driving instructor.

Fantastic experience: I had a 14 hours split into a 7 day course with Sandeep. On my first day he helped me concur most of my fears of driving. I absolutely love his technique, and teaching style. His patience and encouragement was above and beyond what I expected. It was 110% worth taking this course with Ama and I'm looking forward to getting my certificate via mail for successfully passing this course. On my last day he gave me a brush up lesson for what to expect, so that I was prepared for my drivers test scheduled for later that day. He let me know when I was ready to take the road test and to get it booked in advance. I passed yaay! In total I've driven 12 days, and I want to thank Sandeep for all the knowlage, skills and confidence he helped me gain in such a short time-frame. I will continue to improve my driving skills with what I've attained from Sandeep so far. I would recommend this course and Sandeep Sarvte as the instructor to absolutely anyone who is young or old, who would like to successfully gain the knowledge, experience and their license.

Negative experience: They charge so much more expensive than other schools. What a rip off

Negative experience: My first daughter took driving lesson with ama during school and had a hard time getting schedule for after school and on weekends. The instructor gave her a grade of 60%. After passing her driving test on her own, she still need to take a refresher course to get her training certificate. What a cash grab. Ama will not give her the training certificate until she get a grade of 75%. My other daughter took her driving lessons with city driving and got her license and certificate right away. And way cheaper.

Fantastic experience: fantastic driver ed programs, and they now have a lower cost one if you dont need the insurance certificate
