Fantastic experience: Great school. I went there the other weekend for an air brakes course. The instructor Matt was an excellent teacher: he's funny, engaging, and knowledgeable.

Fantastic experience: Took a 2 day unrestricted class 4 driving course with Neil from NSDS. I would definitely recommend if you are preparing to take your class 4 unrestricted driving exam. Went over everything that you need to know for the pre-trip inspection, was able to feel confident in my driving after the two day class, and they let you use their vehicle for your exam at ICBC.

Fantastic experience: I took the two day course on sat and sun, and on Monday I wrote my air brakes test at icbc. I didn’t get a single question wrong. Very thorough and easy to follow course. Highly recommend!

Fantastic experience: I had a few "bumps in the road" because of Covid delays. But through relentless perseverance and a great team at NSDS I made it!!!!!! Holy Sh** I even got a drive because I was going to be late for my test. The owner even congratulated me. Thank you North Shore Driving for helping me improve my life! Fantastic experience: Matthew at NSDS is really invested in you getting your air brake, class 3 or class1 license. In the classroom he is a good instructor making the material easy to follow. The other instructors that helped with the course are also fantastic at their jobs. I highly recommend North Shore Driving School.

Fantastic experience: My interactions with all of the staff I met at nsds were great, everyone was personable and helpful when needed. Mat my teacher for the air brakes was great the in class instruction was very helpful and well explained, the hands on end of things was also well explained and demonstrated through and through. I also took my class 3 course through nsds and it was a great experience and they were very accommodating with my time schedule. Johnny my Teacher is a great guy very understanding to mistakes while learning while hard enough on you that you learn without being overwhelmed, also while teaching keeps things relaxed when going along and definitely no weird awkward draw out silences one of the best mates I've meet in a long time.

Fantastic experience: I must begin by stating that every interaction that I have had with any staff member at NSDS was productive. From the first inquiry over the phone with office administrator, Tim, to the ride back to the truck yard after my Class 3 road test with the owner’s son, Matt. I was met with professional, courteous, knowledgeable staff that were entirely focused on my success. I will add that I passed my road exam on the first try. This was due to the work of my outstanding instructor, JAZZ. With well over 30 years of experience in the industry, Jazz’s tireless efforts were exactly what I needed to get though my course. His patience, and subtle instructional techniques really paid off. It goes without saying that I would not have come close to passing if it were not for the constant positive energy coming from the man in the passenger seat. What I found out during my course is that you can learn a lot from a good instructor. I also learned what a beautiful person, and a great man Jazz has become. I was truly honoured to have driven with Jazz over the two weeks of my course, the fact that I passed was a bonus. I highly recommend any driver who is interested in pursuing a career in this industry to seriously consider NSDS. My personal experience with Jazz was second to none. I would like to take this opportunity to thank him, not only as an instructor, but as a friend that I will have for life.

Fantastic experience: Although it was difficult reaching someone in the office sometimes, I'm glad I went with NSDS for my Class 3 Automatic with Airbrakes. Tim went above and beyond to help schedule me in despite my tight schedule and near deadline. He has an endearing personality and seems like he truly cares for my success. A fantastic student advocate. For driving lessons I had Jas. He is new with NSDS, but definitely not new with teaching. I felt comfortable making mistakes with him as he has a friendly laid back vibe, but he also gave context to the mistakes so I wouldn't make them again. Jas is thorough and methodical with his pre-trip inspection method and my ICBC Examiner complimented the way I performed the pre-trip, so hat's off to Jas! He's an experienced and great teacher that I highly recommend. Jeremy taught my Airbrakes course and his experience shines. He knows everything there is to know about the trucking world and can make a dull classroom course seem entertaining. He is well receptive to questions so pick away at his brain and vast experience. Amazing staff and competitive pricing is why I would strongly recommend this driving school. I experienced some delays with contacting anyone at their office before, but last time I visited in person there was a new lovely lady at the front so hopefully they're working on sorting that out.

Fantastic experience: The real deal. I had a gentleman named Don, and he was the right kind of thorough with the lesson. Gave us the book, and a highlighter, went though the relevant chapters with us, telling us where to highlight the important info. He gave personal testimony about various parts of the book, which helped with memorizing the functions of some of the parts. He was receptive to comments and questions, always exercising patience even when we needed something re-explained. In the end, he got (most) of us to pass the in-cab pre trip test, and he offered tons of encouragement to those of us who couldn't pass. If you are looking to get proper training for climbing the license class system, these are your guys!

Fantastic experience: Had my class 1 lessons in September 2021 and passed on my first time. Great Driving School! Great instructors! Great staff. Made time for me when everywhere was booked because of MELT. Had Jeremy and Lorrie. Taught me everything I need to know. It was very nice to see the instructors out in their time and effort. Was very touching to see one of the instructors tear up when I told him I passed. Highly recommend this driving school.

Fantastic experience: I hope this reads to you. I know absolutely 0 about trucks or vehicles of any kind until I took this course with North Shore driving school. Not only will you learn exactly what you need it will be done so in a fun and supportive atmosphere. The office to the teacher are all their to educate drivers to be comfortable and confident in anything they do on the road. I stand by my word that this is the best possible learning experience for driving schools in the lower mainland and beyond. Thank you North shore driving school you are the best!

Fantastic experience: i was little apprehended before coming here but honestly this in my eyes is the best driving school out there. they trained me to thrive daily driving situations and not just to pass the test but to be a good driver in general. my buddies went to other truck driving schools and they all got ripped off many many times without proper training. over here, you get what you pay for. Highly recommend this school.

Fantastic experience: I took the Air Brake course with Jeremy, finishing yesterday. I need the endorsement to drive my "new" motor home. I've been retired for 10 yrs. I haven't concentrated so hard in 15yrs. Jeremy is one of the BEST instructors I've had in my 35 yr career. I know my weak areas to review before I take the ICBC Knowledge test. Jeremy and Tom had GREAT tips on how to affectively book with ICBC. $375 is abit pricey, but "hey, if I don't pass it I can't use my $40,000 MotorHome"

Negative experience: Treat you like garbage when just inquiring about lessons.

Fantastic experience: Did my 16hr air course and press trip with instructor Robert very good teacher . I would recommend this school very good atmosphere and actually had a good time. Great job and thanks again Robert.

Fantastic experience: I just finished my unrestricted class 1 with these guys and passed first time. I had 3 instructors and they were all great. I chose them because they were able to get my test the soonest and it turned out perfectly. This school is great!

Fantastic experience: Great place with great instructors. The training time was enough to get prepared for the Class 1 test . Tom and jeremy was very helpful and gave essential knowledge to get familiarized with the operation of the truck.

Negative experience: I have tried countless times to contact them on single lessons for me to practice for my road test and I have never ever gotten a single response I tried calling and they put me on hold and then hang up! And their email as well they say they will get back to me but weeks later and not a thing I do not recommend them what so ever

Fantastic experience: amazing experience! Although the point was to pass the class 3 road test the first time, I'm a little sad it's over. Instructors were awesome, I had Jeremy, Len and Rob so if you get any one them you're in good hands!

Fantastic experience: I just completed my unrestricted class 1 with north shore and have to say the school was exceptional. They were able to cram 32 hours of driving and schooling into a schedule that worked for me surrounding working full time. It took me one month and one try at the DMV to get this licence. A full month sooner then all the other BC driving schools I checked in with. Its because of the experience and patience of my instructors that I was able to achieve this. Cant recommend them enough, if your looking to start driving professionally this is the place to learn how to do it.

Fantastic experience: Me. my wife and our 9 months old baby(you could say) went too North Shore Driving School in Burnaby and met Tom and his crew. They helped us allot and passed Class 1 fast, recommend them 110%. Thank you : Tom, Liam, Jeremy, Cash, Baba p.s. > they had the fastest exam dates in BC by a country mile

Positive experience: Tractor Equipment runs good. . Beside the point Tom the Operation Managers had resolve the issue. and understanding regarding the past with Bernard. Bernard only operate one way to him if you have not pass Air Brakes knowledge with ICBC. he wont schedule a lesson. I pass my Air Brakes knowledge with ICBC last week started to take Lesson 7 and Road test June 29 2016. other truck driving school you really have to wait do to back logs. Fantastic experience: North Shore Driving School provided instructors that showed a great combination of serious instruction mixed with a bit of fun. This was instrumental in holding my son's interest and helping him to learn to drive. Elena at the office worked very hard to fit him in for last-minute lessons before his road test and I think that made all the difference!
