Fantastic experience: The st catharines campus has two excellent trainers , first Will was very patient and had great experience that he shared well with me as a student, his calm and easy going personality helped me learn and his ability to teach me the techniques i need to be successful was awesome , i would recommend too anyone who wants to learn to drive a commercial vehicle and be safe and have the skills needed to be successful this is the guy . I would have liked to see better equipment to learn with hiway tractors were very old , but overall a great experience ,my thanks to Will

Negative experience: This review is for the Hamilton location for the AZ MELT program, specifically Brent. He was on his cellphone constantly during the lessons. Avoid this school like the plague. They did not provide adequate education (only 3 hours of backing up vs. the mandated 20+ hours) and took no accountability. Would give 0 stars if possible.

Negative experience: DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!!!!! this 3 week DZ course turned into a 3 month course!! Teachers sick , trucks broken down... always something wrong!!! My husband's test was rescheduled like 3 times before his actual test, which they also screwed up!!!!! Was told to be there 30 mins prior to the test at 11:20am... but his test was actually at 8:30am..... so right from the start the trainer was upset he was late!!!! Because of this poorly run company!!! So of course he failed and needs to redo the test. But they want us to pay to use the truck again even though this was clearly their mistake!! We have been very patient up till now with this company and gave them the benefit of the doubt when it came to all the issues that arose, but we are out alot of money and it's pretty bad when they can't even provide the truck for free to compensate for their mistakes!!!

Fantastic experience: I cannot recommend this school enough! From the start of class with Chris, who taught and shared his many experiences with us, he was an encouraging and engaging teacher. Jackie, who handled the administrative work and was my first contact, made the transition into the learning environment smooth with her warm, passionate, welcoming personality. Finally, Brent, who did my in-truck training, I couldn’t have asked for anyone more experienced or better; he supported me through challenges in a very supportive way, he made the learning experience enjoyable and engaged me the entire time; he also helped build the passion for starting my truck driving career. Fantastic experience: Big Thank you to Brent and Jackie (Hamilton, Ontario location) for all their help and support training me for my AZ liscense! I was so nervous and excited to make the change into trucking but together they made everything as smooth as possible. I had so much fun training with Brent. He always set the tone for a relaxed and calm lesson easing my nerves. I'm sure he gained a few more stress hairs having to copilot next to me those first few days but I appreciate the faith and encouragement he always gave teaching me a lot along the way. Jackie is every students biggest supporter, she truly does want to see us all succeed. Her big happy smile and encouragement to pursue every option helped me get to where I am today. Within days I was into a full time position in an amazing company. My life has truly change for the best I couldn't have done this without either of them!!

Negative experience: I am not sure I can say anything positive about this school anymore. They lied about the amount of in truck training hours I would get. The in class teaching was virtual, with no hands on until 3 weeks in. They failed to teach me necessary backing maneuvers, I am going into ministry tests and failing because I am teaching myself to back the vehicle during the test. Everyone in my class has failed at least 2 road tests, and they just say "everybody fails" Noone answers your calls or emails once you are registered, and any complaint or criticism is ignored entirely. They tell you the day before the road test what time it will be at, and they most recently told me the wrong time, forcing me to miss my road test, forfeit the 100 dollar charge, and wait another who knows how long to be rebooked. This school is expensive, poorly managed and cheap as cheap can be. Shameful business practices. I did have a couple of good instructors though, that was nice. Ten grand with nothing to show for it other than headaches and stress though. Yikes.

Fantastic experience: TTCC is a great way for new drivers that wanna learn and get good hand on experience for their license of any sort i had contacted Kendra, who was a great help in helping me find a campus near me. Jacquie and Brendan were great help on getting the air brakes and D experience I needed to pass my test 10/10 recommended

Fantastic experience: Had a great experience taking the platinum course at TTCC hamilton. Jacquie the campus coordinator was always pleasant to speak with and greeted you with a smile from the door. Brent and kyle from hamilton and Rob from Saint Catherine were my A-Z truck instructors. They insured that I understood all the material that was being thought and answered any questions that I may have had. It was great to have 3 different teaching styles all geared towards helping you to succeed. Alex in Cambridge was my heavy equipment instructor. Great guy always showed up on time even showed up when there was a full fledged blizzard active to ensure I was able to finish my last class. I appreciate the hamilton family and I would highly recommend this course.

Fantastic experience: I went to hamilton for truck training. Jackie was so helpful and accommodating. Thank you so much jackie. While attending i had a few different instructors. Sam from sudbury, excellent instructor and very funny. Rob from st. Catherines who is amazing at helping you retain all the information you need. Chris from Cambridge, super funny and made learning lots for fun. Brent from hamilton is very knowledgeable. I also did my heavy equipment training, half in Cambridge with alex who was great to train with, and the other half in st cathrines with George. George was great to train with. He has over 40 years in the field and is so helpful and knowledgeable. All and all great experience from TTCC

Fantastic experience: Shawn N and Jacquie in Hamilton were amazing. I'm so glad I chose this school over others. I took the Bronze Construction course. Way more knowledge taught than just the bare minimum to pass the MTO tests.

Fantastic experience: I would recommend the hamilton training center to anyone looking to get a commercial license.... jacquie was more than amazing working with my schedule and helping me through every step of the process involved including observation of other students doing yard work which was invaluable experience. Brent my instructor helped me every step of the process even with some questions that i had to ask multiple times to ensure i had my knowledge understood, the students i had the pleasure of observing and working with were more than amazing and helped me along the way!!!! TTCC is an amazing place to train for your future driving career

Fantastic experience: Michael was a great instructor, kept the atmosphere light. A lot of information was imparted to us and he kept it interesting. The Heo class with Gerry was also great and informative, really looking forward to starting practical.

Positive experience: My son and I took the DZ training at the Hamilton location. Jacquie is truly a cat herder. My son and I had some scheduling issues.. Jacquie with her knowledge of student requirements and level of instruction was able to manipulate the schedule with the least amount of disruption. Brent and Brendan were our two driving instructors. Both were professional in their teaching still. Their experience in the industry showed through every time they engaged with us in the work environment. All three of your employees have a desire for their students to succeed. Thank you for the experience. Both myself and my son were successful in obtaining our DZ licences.

Fantastic experience: Edit/ Update 4/8/22: I was accepted this week into the NABET 700-M UNIFOR Transport department as a permit. I took the course at TTCC to further my career in the television and fIlm industry. WIth Jacquie and Brent's attentive help with course. I now have the position I wanted and achieved one of my life goals. Thank you so much!!! The team at Hamilton TTCC was amazing. Definitely a great course to take your AZ, and DZ license training. Original review: Jaquie in the office and Brent the resident practical /driving instructor did everything possible to help attain my z endorsement and d class (manual shifting) license - which I was successful on the first attempts. The in class portion was very detailed and informative. There's an excellent driving simulator you can use at an unlimited capacity at the campus which I used often to practice manual shifting when not in the actual truck. - great value there The airbreak (z) endorsement they have efficiently broken down into simplified concise steps I found was very effective to help with memorization. I found other students were always more than happy and willing to help / partner up with for studying and encouragement. Above all it was a very positive learning environment. I very much had fun learning, coming to school, and definitely appreciated the people there. Thank you so much!

Fantastic experience: A couple months ago I had never driven a manual transmission or anything bigger than a pickup truck. Now thanks to Jacquie and my trainer Brent I have an A-Z license. I encourage anyone looking to get their A-Z license to consider TTCC Hamilton.

Fantastic experience: The Hamilton campus was an excellent experience. I learned so much with TTCC at the Hamilton campus. The learning environment and knowledge that was taught here was above and beyond what a student could ask for. So welcoming and rewarding, the staff (JACQUIE) and teachers (BRENT + others) made this all possible. Worth it so much to attend this school. Thanks to TTCC Hamilton campus, I now have my ACZ license.

Fantastic experience: I managed to get my DZ on my first try thanks to the excellent instructers and fellow students at TTCC in Hamilton. The campus administator, Jacquie, has managed to cultivate a great atmosphere where students will help out in any way they can. She is also incredibly supportive, and tries her best to accomodate your schedule as best she can. She expends a lot of her energy making sure everything runs smoothly, and it shows. The primary trainer at this location, Brent, is a great instructor. His more relaxed training style worked well for me, allowing me to have time to think through my mistakes and correct them myself. He is still attentive and will help you should you not be able to find said mistake. As I mentioned, other students are often eager to help out as well, whether that be by giving shifting tips while on the simulator, or going over and drilling the air endorsement tests and Schedule 1 inspections needed for your practical exam. All in all I found this location to be an excellent place to learn for both the road test itself, as well as for your career in trucking, whether that be as an AZ or DZ driver. I would recommend it to anyone looking to upgrade their license.

Fantastic experience: After my first week of attending TTCC Hamilton (zoom class), I felt that this career was not for me until I had spoken to Jacquie (campus coordinator) and Melissa (admissions specialist) and they both convinced me that I should not give up on the course. After going back and forth, I had come to a conclusion that I would leave the course. About a week later I decided I would return to the school to start my course again. After speaking with Jacquie many times, she believed in me and my abilities. She never gave up on me and she knew I could do it! I had started my truck training with my instructor, Brent. I told him I was a slow learner and I never drove a manual before. He totally understood. He also took the time to go over things with me many times, he was very patient and had a great sense of humour. By using the simulator it helps you understand how the truck operates. It really helped me out with shifting. I can’t say enough about this school. I love how the students work together. I highly recommend this school for anyone who is looking to obtain there AZ license. I was able to pass my road test in no time! Sending out a special thanks to my campus coordinator Jacquie, and my instructor, Brent. Fantastic experience: Hamilton TTCC was one of the best choices in terms of school. Not only was I able to learn manual from scratch, they took their time and made sure I understood everything properly. They weren’t teaching me just to pass the test but for me to have a good understanding of what the job requires and how I can drive responsibly and professionally. Jacquie the Hamilton program coordinator helped me whenever she could. Always responded ASAP and even helped me book a test during covid times. Shawn White my instructor was diligent. Made me go from not knowing anything about mechanics and how to drive manual to acing my inspections and getting compliments from the examiners at the Drive test Centre in Hamilton. Brent came in towards the end of my time with the school but he was also very helpful as an instructor. Kept me composed and calm before my test and gave me some advice on how to pass. Overall I recommend this school. Make sure you are respectful when attending.

Fantastic experience: TTCC was an amazing driving school. Because of Covid it took longer then it should have to complete my training but that was out of my control. I have never driven on a manual transmission before joining TTCC... with that being said i got my AZ license with ease thanks to the amazing trainers.. both of my trainers had 20+ years of experience which is what i was looking for. It is a very serious driving school and they make sure you can excel to the best of your abilities. The HR clerk at the Hamilton campus cares about you just as much as the trainers and will help you with ANYTHING you need to progress in your training and or career. if you've never driven manual before like i did and are scared to make the jump in learning i assure you this school will make the best driver out of you. thanks again for everything TTCC.

Fantastic experience: I had the most amazing experience with ttcc Hamilton during my time with them. First of all, I would not have been able to successfully complete my course without the help of Jacquie! Due to the pandemic, there was a lot of uncertainty regarding where to go or even sign up, given that certain stages have moved to virtual learning. Jacquie was there every step along the way to make sure I had everything that I needed. Someone that is starting their career may have a lot of angst, and getting their career started during this time only adds to the pressure. Jacquie has an exceptional interpersonal skillset that made the journey as easy as possible, where all I had to focus on was learning and the rest was taken care of. She was easy to reach, quick with replies and always went the extra mile to sort things out in case of an issue. A huge part of my success was the support that was offered to me and the family atmosphere of ttcc Hamilton. The instructors were also fantastic and know how to work with the individual and can accommodate to that person's style of learning. As someone who is not mechanically inclined, the instructors had a way of bringing the information down to a level that I could more easily digest which was crucial to my success. After my time with ttcc Hamilton it is my opinion that if you show up and bring your best effort you will find success. Definitely start your career here!

Fantastic experience: I had the best experience with this school, starting with their head office. They worked around my schedule as I had a full time job and it worked out perfectly. Jackie who was in charge of the Hamilton campus was so professional and helpful and gives the warmest welcome with a huge smile as soon as you step foot on site. We did the virtual class portion of the program first and Instructor Rob was amazing, easy going and made sure that I understood everything he was saying-this makes a huge difference when English is not your first language! We then transitioned into driving where I met my instructor SHAWN WHITE - Stay away from him he's crazy! (Just kidding) but that's what I thought of him when he put me on a tractor trailer the first day and got me to drive on the road as his goal was to remove that fear we all first came with. I was so nervous and scared but his words to me from day 1 were, '' you are a professional driver.'' Shawn's positivity and motivation goes above and beyond! He had a lot of patience but pushed your limits and gave you 10000%. One day he came back to the school from another student's driving test, which he had aced (as all Shawn's students do) .....He was happier than the student himself ! He absolutely loves seeing his students succeed and that's when I knew I was in good hands. He treats you like family and I will forever be grateful. I cannot stress enough how worth it this school and the instructors are as I am now proud AZ license holder thanks to them. To Shawn: no matter how professional I get- I'll always be the student. I really could not have done it without you! So thank you and hats of to you and the other instructors at TTCC. Fantastic experience: Shawn White and Jacquie are both amazing after having 2 drive tests canceled they bent over backwards to make my 3rd test happen after I got a call from drive test at 6pm on a Friday night when the office was closed they both honestly want to see everyone succeed and will do what ever they can to make things come together and keep you as calm as they can to make it happen thanks to both of you for helping me get a start at my new career I couldn't have done it without both of you
