Negative experience: I was waiting to turn left and the opposite direction has cars turning right and going straight. It was unsafe for me to turn. This instructor behind kept honking at me. I’m a class 4 driver so I know about safe driving. Is this how you teach your students to drive? Do you yell at them if they don’t turn?

Fantastic experience: A few days ago I passed my road test thanks to my instructor, Aubrey at Ocean Park Driving School. I used to be terrified of driving and even hated being in a car. Fantastic experience: Having driving lessons with Aubrey through ocean park driving school was the best decision I have ever made. I just received my N with 0 demerit points, and I couldn’t thank him enough. He knows every detail about the manoeuvres, hazards, car, and road test routes. Every time I saw the ocean park driving school car pull into my driveway I got a feeling of joy. We always had great conversations from the first lesson to the very last. He always tells me how he loves his job because he takes great pride in helping others succeed, which shows as he cares so much for every student. Due to unfortunate circumstances I was not able to practice nearly as much as I should've and Aubrey's lessons were some of the only times I could practice. Fantastic experience: I am happy to say I had an incredibly positive experience with OPDS! I did the GLP licensing program, which starts off with 3 days of in class learning, and then driving lessons with instructor. I had a great experience with my instructor Juan who, it is very evident is experienced and knowledgeable, always made sure to consistently give me advice on the road and answer fully any questions I had (which I asked about every 5 seconds). I most appreciated how patient Juan was in the process of my learning, as I think it is one the most fundamental traits of a driving instructor. Overall, I very much enjoyed my lessons with Juan and with the organziation and fast replies to emails of the driving school. Highly recommend and thank you!

Fantastic experience: I genuinely don’t have enough good things to say about Aubrey. From the very first day, I knew I was lucky to have him as my instructor. Fast forward a few months and I passed on my first try! He is a master of his craft, always evolving his practice, and what I most appreciate about him is the true passion he has for his work. He always said to me, “your success is my success”. Aubrey goes above and beyond to make sure you are prepared in every way for your road test and most importantly, that you become a safe, knowledgeable driver. All that he taught me quickly became muscle memory and the hours of practice and work we did together was confidence inspiring. Fantastic experience: I got my N today, Aubrey was my instructor and he is an absolute masterclass in both driving and teaching! I was super anxious around driving but Aubrey had so much patience, he is incredibly professional and he truly cares about making you as good as you can be. It was an awesome journey from day 1 and if I hadn’t passed my N test I would again request only Aubrey. He makes driving a fun and enjoyable experience although it can be stressful at times, his mastery of the textbook and rules makes him the ultimate instructor. Fantastic experience: Aubrey’s passion and knowledge combined, created a very motivating and safe atmosphere for me to get better at the way I drive. There were times in my lessons and on my road test where I wasn’t so sure if I would succeed or that I’m doing well enough, but Aubrey made sure to let me know about my strengths while also teaching me to do better or avoid my weaknesses through great explanations. There was never a moment in my lessons where Aubrey didn’t make himself 100% clear in what he expected or that I didn’t understand what he wanted to teach me. Aubrey is also a very outgoing person that you can always talk to and ask questions. If you have Aubrey as an instructor, I can guarantee that he will uplift you and your confidence. After a dreadful time with a previous instructor from a different school who left me feeling discouraged and hopeless, Aubrey completely turned things around. Fantastic experience: Fantastic driving school, lessons were lead with good paced progression and amazing instructors. I passed my N yesterday but I couldn’t have done it without the help of my amazing instructor. If you have a chance to take lessons at ocean park please ask for Gord, not only is he a good coach but he also has a fun personality that makes learning how to drive easy.

Negative experience: I’m furious with this company, I was crossing the road with two toddlers and one of the Instructors driving without a student didn’t even slow down or stop the car while we were crossing the road. I even shouted at him to stop the car but he just carried on. This instructor was driving past Edgewood Park. If this is how the instructors drive, I don’t think anybody should be learning from them.

Negative experience: they were blocking sidewalk this morning, don't teach your student how to be disrespectful to pedestrian...

Negative experience: My son completed his GLP with OP Driving School. He failed his Driver’s Licensing exam solely due to misinformation and instruction provided by the school. As a professional school they have a responsibility to provide accurate safe roadside knowledge to my son and other student drivers. This did not happen. The owner chose not to correspond with me concerning this matter and did not reply to my email or phone messages.

Negative experience: Filled out an application for lessons and was given a time to call OP driving school. When I called, I received no answer. I sent a text to them as well which was never responded to. Called a week later and they told me they would call me the next day which never happened. I wouldn’t be as annoyed if they just didn’t get back to me, but the fact that OP gave me specific times to call and I still didnt get a response is frustrating. Gives the impression that this company doesn’t value customers time. Which is insane due to how much money their programs cost.

Fantastic experience: OP Driving School was fantastic. Nathan, Kim, Ed and Marika went above and beyond to accomodate our schedule but more importantly match our daughter up to compatible instructors and change when they thought they weren't. Excellent to communicate with and trust them completely.

Negative experience: I saw an instructor who I guessed was picking up a student, try to park in a bus stop and then proceeded to do a u-turn on Cranley, crossing a double yellow line with a blind corner at each end. This is not a legal turn or safe. The driver did not signal and was rude when I pointed out to him that he couldn’t park there. I also hope your instructors enforce the new driver to be aware of pedestrians particularly when they are turning right at a light, and the crosswalk signal is green for the pedestrian.The car must be stopped behind the stop line and not enter the crosswalk.

Fantastic experience: We signed up my 16 y/o son for the ICBC approved driving package and were very happy we did. OP Driving was friendly, organized and professional from the first interaction onward. My son enjoyed his road lessons and the in class study and passed his road test with zero points deducted. I have already recommended them to friends with new drivers in the family.
