Negative experience: Ghost college. No one is working. Spent money for admission and waited for couple of months. That is it

Negative experience: They asked the pay for the admission process fee then no one is working for the admission. No answer for phone, no reply for email. No one is working. The worst, terrible college ever.

Negative experience: The worst admission team they have. They kept saying to have IQAS but after the IQAS assessment, the college said it was not qualified. Spent 500$ and 3 months wasted. Very late reply, no answering the phone and everything is so slow. Never recommend this college.

Positive experience: My nephew and his friend will be joining the January 2025 intake. What other housing options are available nearby if they prefer not to live in the dorm?

Negative experience: Worst school ever. Admission process is the worst. Academic advising service don't do their job,they never update student on their admission, no phone number for student advisor, no transfer of call to student advisor and fake email online for student advisor.

Negative experience: Hi, my name is Somia and my student I.D is 179161. I'm an immigrant here in Canada. To get my skills improved I decided to back to school and I applied at the Portage college after listening lots of positive reviews from my friends. But they forgot to mention about the admission process and student advisors. I applied for the early learning and childcare certificate in the start of 2024. My IQAS assessment was not done by that time. So I went to the IQAS and get my educational credential assessment done on 29th of Aril, 2024. It's been more than 3 months ( today is 12 Aug, 2024) and my application is still pending. I daily make phone calls and send e-mails to student advisor but it seems phone call operators try to cover the student advisor which is very disappointing. Today I got an e-mail regarding the deadline for admission which is Aug 16th. I already sent a pdf of my assessment from IQAS. I got an e-mail regarding the last date of admission but student advisor did not mention how to fix this situation. That's what between college and IQAS. If I am wrong please make me correct as I mentioned i'm new here. I request to the supervisor or the owner please go into details of my application and solve my issue ASAP as i'm already depressed. Actually on my LOA they wrote lac la biche campus but after coming to Canada when i confirm from the college it was actually in cold lake campus. Negative experience: I have submitted my refund application 2 months ago to portage college at ciot campus calgary but they do not give my refund and they are not replying my email i am in stressed

Negative experience: My name is Gurniwaz singh. I requested for the refund from Campbell college . I even provided them with the offer letter I got from other college in the same program as the course is non credited with Campbell college CIOT with Portage College. Neither they sent the reply Nor bothered to communicate further. It is my right to get the refund which I am entitled to. This situation is very depressing where I am not getting any support from my college to get a refund nor any communication. Campbell college is sending us to the Kingsway location to get a refund . Upon reaching there they ask to send an email. But none replied about the emails. I must say , we initially agreed to study under portage college although the campus was Campbell but this is causing us so many issues. Being a student I put my trust, money and safety in the hands of portage college . Campbell college is showing irresponsibility towards the students and playing with their future by not guiding them in the appropriate direction. I will rate the college zero if i get the option to. If immigration changed the rules , they must support them . Instead choose to update their refund policy so that international students can suffer at their cause. Imagine one way you are struggling to find a college to endeavor your hard work being student other side you have no money to pay the fee because your college decided to update policy after getting them out listed from DLI. What a harassment and mental stress Campbell caused. Shame!

Negative experience: I'm a student at portage@campbell college . I did not get any reply regarding work permit being provided to January 2024 intake students. We are not sure if we will get it. Or else we need to get a refund for next semester regarding this. This is such a waste of time not less but whole 2 years.

Negative experience: A friend of mine referred me this school , so yes I call and was able to talk the advisor but I was so frustrated cos she sounds like she's not helping me and yet I already paid, Till now I was not enroll . I hope that I have another advisor to speak because I really want to enroll. I was really dis disappointed I hope portage will see this post and hoping they'll help me, still willing to enroll the school cos i believe this school is legit.

Negative experience: Such an irresponsible college who never provide any updates to new upcoming students regarding their college defer and doesn’t even refund the fees. Wasting precious time of students to an extent that they are getting depressed about what will happen to them . Not taking any responsibility and being rude on calls. Pathetic and poor service!!!!

Negative experience: Horrible school, so indecisive about their students, if you don’t get asked back for next semester and you’re living in dorms like like to only give you 4 days to leave as if college students will have the funds and or sources to leave that quickly. Highly do not recommend a school where they don’t even care about the wellbeing of their own students.

Negative experience: Admitted my son for one the Diploma program in CIOT, calgary and they have given offer letter with Portage college and CIOT written on that. Now we came to know that this college is not eligible for PgWP. Students passed from this college will not be eligible for PNP and and this course will not be considered for applying for PR. Wasted money and time, both with this college. they are conning innocent people. Canadian govt should take strict action against these type of colleges

Negative experience: Worst college I have ever seen in my life. Doesn’t provide PGWP. Does not have any facilities. Just rented a 2 floor building and ruining students' lives. If you study here, you’ll never be eligible for PNP.

Fantastic experience: Every year Portage highlights the diverse cultures in our community with a Culture Days evening of sampling food and learning more about our neighbours and friends. I had my name written in Arabic and Chinese. A beautiful young woman sang the Canadian anthem in Cree as well as two other powerful songs. Her amazing voice gave me goosebumps.

Fantastic experience: One of the better colleges to take courses related to Environment. Natural Resource Technology is an excellent course with lots to offer, instructors are full of knowledge and willing to share their wisdom. Comfortable & Friendly environment, knowledgeable instructors, and lots to offer. Photos are as follows; #1: Mock spill clean up #2: Trip to Cold Lake Fish hatchery. #3: Chainsaw training.

Fantastic experience: Attending the Portage College Cold Lake Campus is probably the best decision that I've made for myself. The campus is quite small, but it was nice to have a personable experience and recognize people in the halls. The campus is connected to the Energy Centre which makes hitting up the gym after class super easy! Plus free gym membership as a student! The instructors of my program were highly qualified and gave me plenty of creditable knowledge for my future career. Grades are based fairly on the effort you put in and help is available if you are struggling. I would give my hard-earned money to college again! If you are looking for a small, personable college with high rewards, check out Portage, trust me.

Negative experience: These guys tried to tell me my new Brunswick high school transcripts werent at par to attend this school. They made me call my school to verify even though my transcripts were in their hands. However , I had taken the correct prerequisits . Also the 50$ fee was returned to me, as there was no teacher to teach the course. Then was stale dated and when I cashed it, it bounced. After asking them to fix it , they told me they had written three cheques and no more could be written as per their policy. Stay away from. This school!

Fantastic experience: Teachers are very caring and patient! They offer extra help for students with learning disibilities. Would recommend people to go here.

Negative experience: "Having an amazing time as a student!" I wrote this before I was told by the directors and instructor of my program to out right quit my course during a time of struggle. No offers of assistance or guidance. I was told to just quit.
