Fantastic experience: This is a fantastic business!! The instructors are extremely knowledgeable and have real life experiences to back the reasons behind the teachings!! They aren’t just instructing a program but instructing you to learn the proper procedures to ensure your safety and others!!! They are fair and make it an engaging time! The equipment operators instructor, Tim, made the training laughable while being serious and hands on about what to do and what not to do. He is funny and gives real examples of things he has experienced!! Fantastic instructor!! 100% I would recommend this to ANYONE wanting to take equipment operators, class 1. Or 3 or any safety certifications you may need!! It’s definitely the place to go!!! WELL DONE GATEWAY!!

Fantastic experience: Have gone to Gateway for a lot of training over the years. Most recently the Class 1 MELT. Great group of instructors that teach you how to be a great driver first and foremost and top notch trucks to train on! Passed my Class 1 first try thanks to all the great trainers that work at Gateway! Also can’t forget their amazing front staff that help you out a lot with anything you need!

My interactions with the ladies at the front were also very pleasant. Great people, great attitudes. VERY knowledgeable. 10/10 I hope I get the chance to see them again sooner than later.

Fantastic experience: I just went and did the MELT course and got my class 1. The instructors are awesome, and if you listen they have years of experience and knowledge to share. Roy, Cory and Chris are awesome and helped me the most, giving clear instructions, and lots of knowledge for when you get out on your own too. It was overall a great experience, and they’re all awesome people.

Fantastic experience: I attended an intermediate level First Aid course here and it was phenomenal! The instructor, Sharon Deschamps, is amazing. She is extremely knowledgeable about the theory and practical application of First Aid. I cannot describe how wonderful she was; a well balanced blend of fun, humour, and pure instruction. It’s important to recognize that in a course the students need brain breaks to fully absorb information, and Sharon does! She would cover a section of theory then get us to do the hands-on training, and before moving on everyone got 5 minutes to let their brain absorb that knowledge; we didn’t have to try and learn new section immediately after we finished the previous one, which gave you time to think over the material and really understand it. I have done First Aid a few times in the past and was getting re-certified, so I am aware that it can be quite a dull course, but Sharon kept me engaged and asking follow-up questions (which she always answered with a smile and a thorough explanation!). If you need a First Aid course I would recommend this location simply due to the fact you get to meet an awesome instructor that will have you engaged and knowledgeable in providing aid (as a bonus, there was new information since I took my last course and with her amazing instruction I was able to get every exam question correct, literally every word she spoke was remembered.) Sharon, if you read this, you are awesome and I appreciate the knowledge you provided me; I feel prepared to assess and provide First Aid to a wide variety of situations. Thank you.

Negative experience: This company charges exorbitant rates for their driving lessons and they tend to hide their prices. My fiancé went here a while back and was told to sign an agreement before saying how much it would cost. The receptionist didn't seem to want to disclose their rates. He refused to sign asked to get their rates. It turns out that 4 hours of class 1 lessons would be between $800 and $1100. They make you pay to rent the truck for 6 hours even though you can only drive for 4. Went to Connections in Medicine Hat instead and had a much better experience that was easier on the wallet.

Fantastic experience: Chris Tams was an excellent instructor and hands down the best instructor there is! I was dreading an 8 hr course but he made it fun and the time flew! He made sure we all understood what he was saying and very good at explaining each question! Hope to have him again

Negative experience: Work in industry and attended airbake course, instructor was knowledgeable and interesting. However had to step out for 15min to deal with a work situation, and they would not allow me back in. Was no offer to even partial credit course fees for future. Very disappointed. Will never reccomended their business.

Positive experience: Certified for forklift and personal fall protection, Chris and Tim are very knowledgeable, and do great at using personal experience to help illustrate the material. They always seem to be willing to go an extra mile for safety. I would NOT hesitate to call these guys for ANY work safety questions.

Fantastic experience: Outstanding experience from start to finish. From the office staff, instructional staff, to the owner Howard, everyone was awesome to deal with. The facility is clean and very nice, the precautions in place for Covid were very reassuring. Highly recommend.

Fantastic experience: Having to show up early for COVID-19 screening was quick and painless. Sharon is FABULOUS . I haven't been in a classroom in years and she kept it interesting with jokes and stories. We had great classroom discussion that she encouraged and participated in. Everything was very clean and I never was worried about getting a germ

Fantastic experience: I have done multiple classes with gateway over the years. Chris is usually my instructor. I find him to be pretty informative and can teach in a way that engages you and forces you to participate. Howard is also good.

Fantastic experience: I have done H2S courses many times over all at different locations. Howard at Gateway has done the best yet. Tells you what you need to know and explains it well. I will be using them for more tickets as I need them. also a very nice facility.

Negative experience: Never received my first aid card and only got the temperary after the course. Now I have to pay for a replacement card even though I never received the first one to begin with. Don't use a third party company just go to the st John's ambulance branch so if you run into the same issue they can easily fix the mistake. Thanks guys...
