Fantastic experience: Khalid and Access Driving School are incredible! Khalid is incredibly patient and calm. He gives clear instructions during his lessons and explains things that you can do better well. I see some other reviews that are saying that he doesn’t teach parking, this is not true at all. He absolutely teaches parking once you know how to drive well. Parking is a very small part of your exam, knowing the road rules and how to be a good driver comes first! I was able to succeed in learning how to park because Khalid took the time to teach me how to drive properly first. Thank you Khalid and Access Driving School for all your support and patient teaching, I was able to pass my N on the first try. :)

Negative experience: Complete waste of time and money. Every time I told him I need to practice parking he said it's not important in your driving test. He never bothered to familiarize me with the driving test neighborhood and explain the important details to prepare me for the test. I took 8 sessions with him and it was a huge mistake.

Fantastic experience: Could not be happier. I set up my daughter with lessons at access and she passed her test. The customer service was excellent as was the communication around rescheduling when it snowed. Access has their cars set up with winter tires so once they confirmed the roads were safe my daughter was still able to have her lessons, in order to be ready for her road test- even in the snow!

Negative experience: Very commercial. He literally counted every second even when we started 5-7 minutes late. As a learner I didn’t find him helpful at all as he never taught me a single technique. I practiced couple of days with him before my test, I literally had to ask him again and again for feedback after each practice and his reply was, “Are you going to some other instructor? Why you need feedback?” Lol!!! He didn’t even prepared me properly for what to expect on the test which you expect naturally after paying $210 just for test day. While confirming I asked him if this $210 includes an hour warm up practice before the test which he said YES to. Day before my test, he says it’s 45 mins practice and that one hour includes the check in time. I would never ever recommend him to anyone!! At least not for a new driver.

Fantastic experience: Picked his driving school as it was very close to my school. It ended up being the right choice. I had booked my three lessons in the same week as my road test and still passed since he was very good at giving me lots of time on the road instead of wasting time on niche parking maneuvers. I highly recommend this school :)

Fantastic experience: Khalid is very knowledgeable,patient and calm. I am a very anxious person and have been dealing with a lot of stress while also learning to drive and Khalid managed to get me through lessons despite everything else. He had faith in me when I didn't and instilled confidence for the driving test. He is very busy, but he makes time for people and does this out of passion rather than financial necessity. I just got back from my road test in Burnaby and passed on first try. Right before the test while I was anxious and shaky, Khalid was calm and was going over everything with me to calm me down. Amazing school and teacher.

Fantastic experience: Khalid is an awesome instructor and person. After working with him, I went from having no driving experience to passing my N Test in the first try. I had road anxiety from an accident I was in when I was a kid; he was able to help me get through it even though I never told him about it. He’s been driving for years and you can tell he’s knowledgable about all the things that ICBC will ask and look for on the test. He’s calm and kind even when you make mistakes. But he always ensures to teach and remind you of what you should be aware of. After spending some time with him, you can tell that it’s more than just a job for him. He’s actually passionate about teaching people and he genuinely wants his students to succeed. Experienced or new drivers, I have complete confidence that you’ll drastically improve working with Khalid. I can’t say enough good things about this man and the quality of his service.

Fantastic experience: Khalid is a fantastic driving instructor and an incredibly genuine, kind, and thoughtful person. He is very knowledgeable about the ICBC road test and used this information to thoroughly prepare me for my Class 7 - I passed on my first attempt because of his efforts! I found Khalid's teaching style to be incredible supportive, patient, detail-oriented, and attentive. I had put off driving for years due to anxiety, but Khalid was able to instil me with confidence and faith in my driving skills which is something I never imagined was possible. Moreover, Khalid is a very honest and hardworking person. He was always on time, always focused, and has incredibly competitive rates. You can tell that he genuinely cares about the wellbeing and learning of his students. I cannot overstate just how strongly I recommend Access Driving school!

Fantastic experience: Khalid is an attentive and calm instructor, and an excellent blend of firm and encouraging, especially when I got nervous or became disappointed in myself for missing things during early lessons. I knew I was in good hands while on the road and it really helped that he's so patient and skilled. His instructions and reminders have allowed me to feel more confident behind the wheel in a way I did not expect. He is also accommodating and willing to go above and beyond most other driving schools when it comes to scheduling. Fantastic experience: My instructor was very detailed and point out what i needed to improve. He was patient and on time more than me ^^ In my case, it was kinda urgent so I took 2 classes on the same week of my road test and i was so happy I didn’t ever think I’ll pass because my driving skills are still weak and not confident. I failed a few times previously in another location and felt anxious of the road test and gave up on my road test. Before the exam, the anxious feeling came back and talking to my instructor gave me courage and reduced my nervous feelings running in me. He is also a fast replyer who cares and help students in need like me. Before my instructor, I contacted other big companies, they said they’ll call back and it took 3-5 days till now they didn’t care. He made me feel very comfortable, welcome, and takes the time to give helpful reminders of safe, good driving habits throughout the lessons—more-so than any other instructor I have come across. Fantastic experience: Mr. Khalid is such an amazing instructor. I failed my class 7 road test and then I took lessons from Khalid. I passed after few lessons. He makes sure student knows everything that is required to pass. Moreover, he ensures that we are safe driver in a very efficient and encouraging way. He does not say ‘ very good’ all the time, points out mistakes and helps to correct them. The warm up lesson he does, boosts up the confidence and helps us to revise everything. I highly recommend this driving school.

Fantastic experience: My son had a driving test booked while he was home from university. Because of COVID he was under quarantine when he arrived home and only had about 5 days after quarantine to prepare. I called Khalid and he did not even hesitate to squeeze my son in for 3 full lessons as well as a lesson before his test. Apparently he was fully booked but he still fit us in and his rates were very good too. My son really enjoyed the lessons with Khalid and passed his test with flying colours. The ICBC person even said he had an excellent test and to keep up the good driving. I highly recommend Khalid and Access Driving School.

Fantastic experience: I booked an appointment in a short notice after a long weekend. Other driving school couldn't help me out, but Access did. I took one hour warm up class and they provided me with the vehicle for the road test. Even though it was just an hour class, he explained everything properly and I passed on my first try. Khalid was friendly, punctual, experienced and very helpful. The best part was he knew the questions the examiner would ask and even road she would take me. I would highly recommend anyone taking a test in Coquitlam to book with Access. It's worth the money and I am highly satisfied. If you want to pass on your first try choose Khalid. Wish I could give them 6 stars!

Fantastic experience: I Cleared my Class 5 lisence in the first gooo. I took my classes a week before my exam. Khalid was so good to not only take me as a new cliet. During my clases their was a personel problem occed with him, however, he took my classes and made sure all of my mistake were addresed. He constaly asked me question about the road sighs, signals, etc. I would highly recommend him to take traing for your driving lesons.

Fantastic experience: Great instructor! I booked a road test package which includes one hour lesson prior to the road test and usage of the car for the rest. I was not familiar with the environment but during that one hour he went over everything and informed me about the challenges that I might encounter on the road test. Thankfully, I passed the test and I owe that to this instructor and the road test package.

Fantastic experience: I was so desperate after failing the road test 6 times! It took me two years and lots of money to finally realize I have to take serious lessons to unlearn my years of poor driving habits. When I took lessons with Khalid, I passed without any problems the first time I took the test. He is absolutely honest and responsible, exactly what you expect to see in a driving instructor.

Fantastic experience: I'm had more that 16 years of Indian driving experience. Drove in various cities, country side, world's highest motor-able roads (Leh) and many places I can brag about. I had skills but had to "Un-Learn" a lot and also familiarize myself with Canadian rules. Mr. Khalid helped me to learn new and un-learn old very patiently. He knew my faults and guided me like a perfect Guru. He has a habit of NOT saying "very good" or "well done" which I like the most. Its because (sometimes) the praises boost your confidence and you end up making a mistake which nobody wants in the Road-Test... I would definitely recommend Mr. Khalid as a perfect driving instructor.

Fantastic experience: I took only one lesson with Khaled, and for me it was enough to pass the road test. He pointed out the major keypoints to focus on when doing a road test: shoulder checks, hand grip etc.. and taught me how to reverse park in less than 5 minutes. I would definitely recommend him.

Fantastic experience: Before I met Khalid, I had met a few other instructors too. And trust me when I say this, this whole instructor world comes with a lot of variance. Most of the instructors I met were either too greedy, impatient or simply uninterested in your success. I had already failed my road test twice before finally clearing it the third time. And all thanks to Khalid. He was patient with me. He was very accommodating of my schedule. He spotted my strengths and weaknesses. And trained me exactly how I as individual should have been trained. Not like just any other student. I highly recommend using Access driving school for anyone who wants the top notch services and not have to pay with ridiculous amounts of money.

Negative experience: Took lesson for 6 months, he raised my price to $80 for hour and half, was always 5 minutes late, would drop me off 5-15 minutes early, I took weekly lessons yet hardly had any exposure to parking. I tried another driving school who took me to a parking lot to drive after observing me for 5 minutes telling me I wasn't steering properly , would've not only failed my exam but was unsafe, something that was never brought to my attention. I hadn't known any better as I was a completely inexperienced driver and feel I was taken advantage of.

Negative experience: This instructor showed up 5 mins late usually and dropped me off 5 mins earlier for my 90 minute lesson effectively losing around 10 mins per lesson. He didn't seem to care just wanted my money. He also told me to take my last lesson before my exam which I notified him of the date and once I called him, he said he was on vacation. Extremely unprofessional to say the least. Would not recommend!
