Fantastic experience: My experience was excellent! My instructor, Tahsin, was very patient, kind, and respectful all the time. After taking some lessons with him, I was able to pass my road test, and I learned a lot. Initially, I planned to pay for more lessons, but he was honest in telling me that I did not need them, so I appreciate his honesty with me and my family all the time. I highly recommend Driving 101 to anyone!

Always promptly responded to phone calls and emails. Tahsin is a great driving instructor with many many years of experience- he made driving very easy and stress free- I borrowed his car for the road test and I passed on my first attempt! I went from never driving more than 40 km/h to driving all around the city on the busiest highways any time during the day. 100% recommend for driving lessons, you will have an amazing experience guaranteed!

Fantastic experience: We had an amazing experience with Driving 101! Tahsin is a wonderful instructor. We initially paid for extra driving time for our daughter, but he let us know that she was doing so well he didn’t think it was required. After 5 driving lessons (10 standard hours), he offered to provide his car which she was comfortable in for her road test in exchange for the additional hours paid and also refunded us money to make up for the difference. She passed with flying colors! We were so impressed with his honesty and professionalism. I highly recommend driving 101 to anyone. Thank you!

Fantastic experience: I originally contracted Driving 101 in February of 2020, prior to COVID with the idea of having them teach my daughter during the winter so she got experience. While we got a couple of lesson in prior to the pandemic, we were forced to stop during the lock down. Even though we were paused, they kept contact with us and were great at managing our expectations. With all the bumps we had during our time working with them, their team did a great job of working through each and every one of them. The instruction my daughter received was at her level, ensured that there was progress in her development and confidence as a driver and prepared her to be safe on the roads. Their instruction and approach has given me a little more piece of mind in getting my daughter on the road as a competent driver. Thanks Tahsin, great work!

Fantastic experience: Our son just finished 10 hours of driving lessons with Tahsin and the 15 hour online class to prepare for his Road Test. We were incredibly pleased with his instruction. Our son reported feeling comfortable with Tahsin and really enjoyed his sense of humor. He learned a lot and would often come home from driving with hand written diagrams and notes to help him study. He passed his Road Test on the first try! We would highly recommend Driving 101! From their friendly and helpful office staff to their instruction, it was great! Fantastic experience: When I started this course I was terrified to drive. Shahid helped me slowly each week grow to be comfortable getting around town. He is always calm and patient which is exactly what I needed. The dispatcher was also very pleasant to deal with as I have a nightmare schedule and travel often and last minute for work. They were very accommodating. I opted for the online course which was average/a little dry. The in class course would have been more interesting. Overall I would certainly recommend this company.

Negative experience: Driving 101, instructor Shalid: Booked a driving lesson with Shalid. The man never showed up, he sent an email stating that he was at our curb at the correct time. We were waiting for him with the front door open and could clearly see he was never there. We then phoned him and eventually got through, where upon he said he was still with another student, but would be at our address shortly. We phoned again 20mins later, and he said he could not find our address, and since we had been waiting 30mins already we cancelled the appointment. Most unreliable and unprofessional service.

Fantastic experience: I had never driven before starting my lessons with Tahsin. he was incredibly supportive and patient while teaching me and his lessons were so much fun. Was extremely nervous for my test but his tips and techniques were very useful and helped me pass my test on the first attempt! He provided so much motivation and improved my confidence in various aspects of driving which I was ver nervous about before. I would 100% recommend Driving 101 to my friends and family. If you want to learn to drive confidently and correctly, this is the school for you :)

Negative experience: I would not reccomend to anyone that doesn't have a set schedule. ESPECIALLY NOT DURING THE SUMMER .The drivers are spread so thin that you have to make driving appointments 3 weeks in advance and even then if they mess up booking they don't find a way to rectify it . If you want to get your driving lessons done quickly look for another school or wait till winter .

Positive experience: Great in class program, really got to know my class mates and the teacher as well. The driving portion was an amazing experience. Really got to focus on my bad habits and learn the proper way to do things.

Fantastic experience: I can’t say enough good things about my driving instructor, Solveig. She is absolutely amazing! In less than a month she improved my driving from barely being able to drive in an empty parking lot to passing my drivers test on the first try. She was exactly what I needed, she was calm and patient but also forced me out of my comfort zone in the kindest way possible. Everyday when I came home from driving with her I was amazed at how confident I felt. She’s also super funny and a pleasure to hang out with for two hours a day, would definitely recommend. The only negative thing I have to say about Driving 101 is in regards to the face-to-face class sessions, I would definitely recommend spending the extra $50 to take it online.

Fantastic experience: Hands down the best driving and classroom experience I have ever been through. It was my first time driving so I was very anxious to drive but Tashsin helped me get over my fear of driving and I have much more confidence in driving! Also, the classroom part felt much shorter than it should be because he makes funny stories of his experiences in driving and very humorous as well! Overall, a great driving school and would recommend to anyone! Experienced or beginner drivers.

Fantastic experience: Absolutely fantastic experience. I always felt the instructor (Tahsin) personally invested in my success. He prepared me very well for my road test and I passed on my first attempt. I did 2-hours brush up sessions with Tahsin. His honesty and integrity shined through when he suggested I cancel an extra session I had booked because he felt I was ready and he was right! The rates are reasonable and the service is excellent. Two thumbs up for Driving 101 and Tahsin! You won't regret it.

Fantastic experience: My 16 year old passed her driving test on the 1st try. Her instructor Solveig was great, the office staff Brian was really helpful and the place is way cheaper than most of the other places in Calgary.

Fantastic experience: I needed to take some brush up courses for the basic road test and my instructor from Driving 101 customized our driving sessions to help me improve. In no time, I was able to successfully pass the basic exam. My instructor was honest, easy going and extremely helpful. I would recommend this driving school to anyone.

Fantastic experience: Mr. Tahsin was very nice, patient and friendly. Without him I would've never passed my test from the from time. He was well organized, and taught me everything I needed to know in both the in class lessons and on road lessons. He is very humorous and passionate about what he does. Fantastic experience: Loved the class! I decided to take the online option for the in-class portion and it was really easy. It was nice to be able to do it whenever I wanted. People are busy! I'm 24 and have a job and it was really cool to be able to do it whenever. The driving was super great. My teacher Yassin was very helpful and kind! I made sure all of my classes were with him because he as amazing! The class hours were really good, they have several options including evenings and weekends. They also pick you up and drop you off anywhere you'd like! I passed my road test yesterday (first try) and will be recommending this class to everyone! Thank you!

Positive experience: If you are a first-time driver, i would definitely recommend Tahsin. He taught me how to turn first and all the basic skills before I started driving on major roads, which made me feel a lot less scared of driving. One thing I didn't like was how they handled extra time they had to give me due to some technical issues. I wish they would be more prompt in arranging new schedules instead of me phoning them. Other than that, the prices are very reasonable, and I would definitely recommend this school to my friends.

Fantastic experience: Driving 101, Calgary is the best. The trainer provides plenty of effective techniques that are easy to follow. The trainer is also positive, patient and friendly. The trainer pin points the areas to improve in a easy to digest manner. So it is easy and quick to rectify. All of these aspects have helped me a lot to learn and improve in every class without being nervous on the road. I highly recommend Driving 101. Fantastic experience: Although I am not a new driver, my driving habits were developed in a driving culture quite different from that in Canada. I had a tough time with the tests here. On road brush-up lessons with Driving 101 helped me finally pass the test. Tahsin and Medo were patient and encouraging and seemed to care that I learn to drive well. I'd recommend them to newcomers or drivers who would like to learn to drive more confidently.

Negative experience: Classroom was fine for my son but practical on the road driving was terrible. Medo spent most of my son's driving time touring the recent flood damage in Calgary or driving other students back home across the city. Driving 101 never taught my son to make a proper right or left hand turn. When I brought this up to the owner after his lessons he promised to take my son out himself and teach him. The owner never got back to me and my son proceeded to fail his test two times because of crosswalk and turning violations. In class instruction is the easy part but must be reinforced with good practical on the road driving experience. Driving 101 failed my son in this respect.
