Daryl's Driver Training

Fantastic experience: I had previously failed in the parallel parking. When I went to Daryl to do the driving test, he asked me about everything that I knew about driving and made me comfortable with the exam and the way that he taught. I did two lessons with him where I perfected the parallel parking and did it on the first try. Then i passed the exam very easily based on the tips that he gave me around the area. I cannot thank him enough for the lessons he gave me and for helping me pass the test in the first time with him. He is also affordable for the service he provides for the students.

Fantastic experience: Daryl has been a really good instructor throughout all my lessons. On my very first session I wasn't too confident on the road. He took me on a parking lot to be familiar with the basics. Having him inside the passenger with me makes me calm and whenever I make a mistake he'd say it right away and tell me the proper way to do it. He's a very friendly person and it's good thing I did my lessons with him. I passed my road test on the first try made couple of mistakes but still passed. He'd been a great help and I thank him for everything.

Fantastic experience: Where do I start? I never write a review unless it means something to me. I have been trying to get my full license for about 8 years. I have been through many fails over these years - but - I passed today, March 21, a day I’ll never forget. I’ve tried a few driving schools, but none compare to Daryl’s Driver Training. I would say that Daryl’s best qualities are being patient and also encouraging and understanding on which areas I need to improve on during my lessons with him. He is very kind, communicative (not to mention flexible and accommodating in his schedule), and we had some great chats together, I got to know him as a person. I went through frustrating times with my previous fails, but he still believed in me. He made learning how to drive a very calming experience. I cried so many tears of joy when I passed, just be sure to put in an effort during the lessons and your learning experience. Highly recommend and I can’t thank you enough Daryl! I won’t forget what you’ve taught me. Ready to get my first car now :-)

Negative experience: Called to enquire about driving lessons, and if he prepares people for their road tests by intentionally teaching them where they could fail, and if he can work with people who have learning challenges. He seemed to be hurried to get off the phone, and was condescending and rude then hung up on me. Not classy or respectful at all. Take your business elswhere.

Fantastic experience: I found Daryl on google. Based on his reviews and experience I contacted him. At my first lesson I was very anxious and Daryl calmed my nerves. He was patient and kind. He answered all my questions. I would 100 percent reccomend him to anyone needing lessons or extra lessons.

Fantastic experience: I put off getting my license for years due to anxiety - on my first lesson I asked if we could do all our classes in a parking lot! While Daryl let me drive in the parking lot the first day, he was amazing at getting me comfortable on the road and now I really enjoy it - and just passed my test!! Highly recommend for anyone, and especially if anxiety is an issue.

Negative experience: Contacted by phone…no answer so I left a brief msg. Received txt instead asking if I wanted lessons so obviously he didn’t care to listen to the msg I left. Txting continued but his responses took so long I told him to call me when he’s not busy cause it felt to me that he was teaching during our conversation in which he later admitted to. Shouldn’t he be focusing on his work? He said he would call me and again I waited but to no avail. Proves some points mentioned here UNPROFESSIONAL. Who conducts their business this way!!! smh

With years of experience, Daryl is very knowledgeable both on driving, as well as what to expect during the driving test. The handful of classes were all that was needed to prepare me for the test as I had only been driving 4 times without him. He has an amazing way to make you feel calm, safe, and confident behind the wheel. I don’t think I could have ever accomplished driving without his help. Not to mention passing on the FIRST try . He was quick to respond and was always super flexible with our times. I didn't have a lot of consistent driving experience, Darryl helped me gain confidence and pass my test on the first try. He is friendly, patient, and always let you know how to improve from your mistakes. 10/ 10 would recommend. It was a great experience overall.

Before taking lessons from Daryl, I had never parallel parked in my life and with words of wisdom and lots of encouragement he helped me parallel park perfectly with his techniques. I was extremely anxious when it came to the Road Test this morning as it was my first time, but with lots of encouragement from Daryl it kept me calm and I passed on the first try! If you are an anxious driver or have anxiety in general I highly suggest you take lessons from him. Fantastic experience: Getting lessons with Daryl was the best decision I could have made! I'm in my late 30s and had VERY LITTLE driving experience. With covid it became very difficult to plan with friends or family for some experience so I reached out to Daryl about his road test package. I AM SO GLAD I DID! Daryl responded quickly and was flexible in booking our first meeting. I tend to suffer from a bit of anxiety, but Daryl was so good at putting me at ease. He was patient, funny and really knew his stuff! There were so many things that other people had told me that were actually incorrect...it was so good to be able to be sure of the accurate information. I found his teaching style extremely effective and informative. He told me what was wrong and how to fix it and I never felt stressed once while he did. I had never parallel parked in my life and he taught me a fool proof system. Nailed it on the first try! Just did my road test today and passed first try with only 2 mistakes! Learning with Daryl was an amazing experience and I can't thank him enough for my new found freedom!!

Positive experience: Too chatty and wasted my time. A third of my 90-minute lesson was spent listening to him talking about irrelevant topics. He did make parallel parking seem easy.

Fantastic experience: I needed my license in order to keep my job. I had made past attempts and had instructors who were not encouraging. I contacted Daryl and right away he had a plan. He was very calm, relaxed and encouraging. He restored my confidence and I passed my driving test on the first snowy day with guidance from Daryl.
