Negative experience: this is bad learning exprnce.. kamal teaches less. spends more time on talking not providing instruction. i have been driver for past couple yrs but kamal is not good at service and not help me learn canada rules. kamal arrived late also took me to destination made me wait till he was done doing things at destination.. my time is lost.

Fantastic experience: Kamal is the best that’s all i can say. I now have my license

Negative experience: May 15 at 13:00 a white 4 door car with the company logo pulled out of a house on the 766 without looking while I was on my motorcycle. I had hammer on the brakes and honk my horn for him to see me and start backing up!

Fantastic experience: I am so grateful to A1 Advance Driving School! They helped my son improve his driving skills, and he passed his road test today! His previous instructor wasn't reliable, he just disappeared for a while (turned out he got a surgery appointment and didn't bother inform us in advance. Otherwise, I wouldn't register my son with them) which disrupted his learning process. As a consequence, he failed his road test. With Kamal, he was able to enhance his driving skills and passed his road test. Kamal is knowledgeable, patient, has great communication skills and knows how to deal with teenagers (after the first lesson, my son said: "I like the way he explains"). Thank you so much!

Negative experience: Instructor of this driving School was parking on a taxi stand. When the drivers ask him to move, he started arguing rudely. I don't know how he teaches people good driving behavior.

Fantastic experience: Passed my driving exam in first attempt ! Highly recommended. I have learnt from other school and wasted my money. kamal ji is the best. He communicates the rules through out the class. Makes you practice so much that u can’t go wrong. I never thought i can ever drive, I am so scared and anxious when it comes to driving but kamal ji made it possible. He may seem strict but trust me whatever he says if you follow, you can pass. He is so patient with the students. He notices the weaknesses and make you practice again n again. I can’t thank you enough kamal ji for teaching me driving. Best of the best driving school.

Fantastic experience: It was great experience having driving classes from A1 advance driving school. The instructor communicated the rules and regulations of driving very well, that helped me a lot in passing the driving test in first attempt.

Negative experience: bad communications with there customer when it comes with organizing days. the instructor is always on his phone and not pay attention and help you out. very rude will not help you understand on why you do not make those decisions. there is a lot of better driving school than this one. My biggest mistake was I did not look at negative reviews and I felt the same experience as they did Kamal was always on his 2 phones when I called customer service about the issue they did not care and say "if you do not finish the class have to pay 150" I am not looking forward on finishing the class because the instructor are not motivated on helping you improve especially for new drivers.

Fantastic experience: He has a really good teaching method, taught more then just the basic abcs and he helped me pass my first road on the first try. 100% recommended.

He is disciplined, polite and patient . I took the full course and passed my road test in first attempt . All the details were taught and Kamal gives his 100 percent to teach . He is best instructor. He covered different kinds of scenarios that could occur while driving, and how to deal with different weather situations. By doing this he helps students feel comfortable and confident to pass the exam, as well as, when driving on their own. I highly recommend the school, and Mr. Gill to anyone looking to get lessons.

Negative experience: The most I would give Kamal is 2 stars; however, I wanted to give it time, give an honest and unbiased opinion. In my experience, I rate him 1 star. Before I start with the negatives, I want to point out that if you have a driving experience, you will benefit from this school. I can see that Kamal is good at driving, but just because someone is good at something doesn't make them a good instructor. First of all, he was not professional. He would be making personal phone calls and is always on his two phones. He did this while I was merging for the very FIRST TIME during a rush hour. I did the merging all by myself without his help nor guidance. Secondly, he was not encouraging, something you should look forward from an instructor. He was calm at explaining (sometimes) but quite redundant. Thirdly, I didn't not feel comfortable asking questions. I went across this traffic lights that has an interesting layout, something I have never seen/been before because I am a learner driver. I asked him about it and he replied "you. went. over .that. 20. times. already" that is all he said and didn't give me an answer. I really felt discouraged, he could've just answered my question. From then on I was hesitant. Fourthly, he was just bad at teaching overall. I love constructive criticisms but I don't think his criticisms were constructive. Lastly, when parking, "a little bit of this side" "a little bit of that", terrible techniques. I dropped out his course and didn't care of the remaining hours (because the entire time felt like a waste). I then went to a different driving school and noticed the BIG difference right away, Kamal is not professional. I learned more on YouTube than from him. I took the test and passed for the first time with only one minor mistake. In conclusion, if you are new, I suggest go to a different, better rating driving school out there. There's plenty of them. Negative experience: I also took lessons from Kamal. Wasn't planning on posting a review but I noticed someone else had a similar experience too. I'm posting this because clearly this horrible service is reoccurring. Not only did he come late to a number of appointments, but we stopped at Walmart "along the way". I thought we were there to practice parking, but instead he went inside? He wasted a good chunk of our lesson there and when we finally resumed our driving lesson, he was on his phone. Then we ended early! These were meant to be a refresher lessons before my test, so I was fairly confident in my driving... I guess he was too. However this is a service I paid for, and this should not have happened. Do not waste your money here!

Negative experience: Very unprofessional service. Took lessons from Kamal and he made me stop on several occasions for things such as taking a bathroom break at a Walmart not only once but every time I had lessons as if he was just killing time. As well, he made me stop so that he could go look at a garage sale during the lesson. If I could give negative stars, I would. They are probably going to reply to this review with something on the lines of "We are sorry to hear that, but our instructors are very professional and do not exhibit that type of behavior." but I urge future students to be wary of A1 Advance Driving School and their poor service!

Negative experience: I have to say this school is ran by frauds. I went in Jan when business must of been slow and paid the $600 for 10hrs driving and the online course and when it was completed he told me I failed and had to do 5 more lessons not 1 or 2 but 5 all over again another $600. He failed me not cause I was a bad driver but cause he could and needed the $ in a slow month. So I have my certificate sent to derik driving school for a brunch up and passed the first day. I highly do not recommend this school.

Negative experience: Its been an year I had my Driving lessons with Kamal. I was looking for a driving school for my sister with better customer reviews. Just came across with this profile because it shows 4.7 review rating. I thought to review my experience as well. To be honest, He is not a good instructor at all. I wonder where all the good reviews came from. No teaching techniques. Little bit this side, little bit that side. He has no judgement between inches or foot or something like 1 car length. I enrolled for complete lesson with 5 class, each class was supposed to be 2 hours. He starts 10 min. late and go for 5-10 min washroom break in between and finishes 5 min. early. In my 4th class, I tried parallel park just one time and technique was horrible. If you go on YouTube, you will learn better technique. 5th Class is just before your test date. So, here I was trying parallel park 2nd time and going for test after that. He was forcing me to take 2-3 extra classes but I deny. Luckily, I had my friends car where I practised a lot learning on YouTube and passed the test. His strategy is to teach you very slowly with his worst techniques, so you need to take extra classes from him.

Negative experience: Not a good one. I took 5 classes and failed the test. After that I joined another school, took 2 classes only and realized the difference. Kamal is not a professional instructor.

Fantastic experience: I enrolled into 'winter driving course' with A1 Advance driving school. The staff is well versed with driving conditions in winters and they guided me complete 'abc' of it. I must say it is the best school for learning driving in winters.
