The teaching methods were very good and allowed you to understand and comprehend each situation before moving forward. We have to remember that the Class 1 (M.E.L.T Program) is written and enforced by the province, and as usual, the government always makes things very complicated, and as a new commer in this trade, makes it very hard to understand the point of some of the stuff you have to learn and the instructors helped you to overcome the difficulties throughout the course. We all know that no organization or company is perfect, but how they adapt to different situations sets them apart from other organizations or companies, which is true with the Shift One Driving Academy. What makes them stand out is how accommodating they were throughout my time with them. Usher and Raji went above and beyond for me and were there for me when I had questions, even after hours. As a family-run business, I felt welcome with their hospitality and professional attitude. They were extremely passionate about their job, and my success was their top priority. Furthermore, I highly recommend the Shift One Driving Academy to get your class 1 driving licence. If your employee or government is paying for your M.E.L.T program, please ask them to put you on the Shift One Driving Academy roster, as you will be satisfied. The Staffs are Amazing, friendly, kind and professional. The Instructors know how to teach and know what they are doing. They know the truck from up and down, in and out. They will teach you everything you need to know about truck driving. They will hep you with what you are struggling with, I myself was struggling with down shifting and Mr. Don helped me out a lot. Fantastic experience: I took the air brakes course with Shift 1. The instructor is very knowledgeable on the topic and knows the whole system inside and out. He is very helpful and will assist you with everything you need help with. He makes the course more enjoyable with light humour throughout the day. I will also be training for my class 1 with this company and look forward to it. Everyone there from management down are very nice people. I highly recommend this company out of high volume of truck training companies out there.

Negative experience: Went down here to try and book some classes came into the front reception nobody was there it was 4:30 in the afternoon they didn’t have a bell or anything to ring so I quietly waited to see if reception would come back maybe they stepped away after 15 min standing there in the quiet building I thought maybe everybody left forgot to lock up went outside saw the place closes at five and it was 4:46pm at the time so I left there was one truck sitting out front maybe it was just a company truck pick up I don’t know. Hopped in my car took off. Sent the guy a message on the messenger app that the building was empty because I was just there so he called me a liar and said that there was no way because he was there and all he heard was the door close which was obviously me leaving. Place should think about getting A receptionist people probably walk in out and day going well nobody’s here can’t talk to anybody guess I’ll go to a different training school . I was obviously there because I snagged one of your Business cards off the desk so on you i’m not lying.
