Fantastic experience: Where can i start , started the whole process of getting my az at a different school, the instructor at that other school was horrible and disrespectful, and abusive , started here at ttc in north bay with john and its been nothing but success and great driving lessons, he takes the time to explain why things need to be done a certain way and makes sure you understand before proceeding, when you make a mistake he doesn’t freak he remains calm and explains what to do next time , very transparent, ttc is lucky to have John as a trainer in north bay in my opinion hes a great face for the company, not not mention the level of professionalism from him is second to none , if i havent fully matured yet ,i will be by the time im done my lesson with John

I can’t speak enough on how patient they were with me, took me from never driving to feeling confident to advance my skills. I passed my road test on the first go at it. My instructor George for the Heavy equipment was hands down the most salt of the earth kind of guy. Years and years of experience shine through his teaching abilities. Thank you gentlemen for teaching me helping me obtain my goals and furthering my career in the transport and equipment operating.

Negative experience: DO NOT ATTEND THIS CAMPUS!! Signed up for AZ MELT program but instructors forgot to teach me how to reverse from a 90 degree angle until 2 days before my MTO roadtest. Didn’t even try to teach me Schedule One until the day before my roadtest, despite my repeated asking to be taught both of these things. So, guess what: I DIDN’T KNOW HOW TO REVERSE OR SCHEDULE ONE FOR MY TEST!! Certainly not enough to pass with and these are kinda REALLY IMPORTANT!! So I went and earned some money so I could return and finish learning how to reverse and schedule one…$150/hour/avg lesson is 3 hrs long. When I returned 5 months later, all the instructors and admin were gone and there was only one instructor named John doing “everything” as he said. I asked him if he could teach me schedule One and how to reverse on a 90 degree angle, he said yes. So, I paid my money & on my first day I had an observation of another student. A girl who was very green to the industry. Throughout the drive with her, John, continuously barked and yelled at her for everything she was doing wrong. I attempted to sooth the tension by saying things like, “hey, it’s ok we all start out this way” and I gave her examples of how I felt when I first started. She was very frail by the end and couldn’t finish driving for the rest of her lesson. I developed a very bad lung infection & when I returned two weeks later I was told that she had quit and another student had just stopped showing up (did I mention John talks about other students behind their backs?) I got in the truck expecting to do Airbrakes and get some rust off my driving but he looked at me weird and said maybe you should just be driving and not wasting your money. So I started driving and guess what: HE STARTED BARKING AND YELLING AT ME TOO!! I’m a very easy going, patient, guy but after two hours, I’d had enough without even attempting reversing or Schedule One. So I left feeling even worse than I went in. Then, I started getting the run around from John and Sarah about why I wasn’t on the Schedule and why my roadtest hadn’t been rescheduled. This lasted over a month. Finally, I gave up on these two losers. I ended up contacting their head office in Sudbury and went over there for competant training and better facilities. I did two lessons in Sudbury and got my license plus Airbrakes on the third day. If you want to get your commercial truckers license through the TTCC, commute to Sudbury and DON’T BOTHER WITH THIS JOKE OF A CAMPUS!! Btw if you think this is long, it’s not nearly half the stories I could tell you.

Negative experience: Not good place to get z endorsement. Told fee was for truck rental only. Never seen the truck portion. The hole process was stretched out too far. Lost a days work due to being told a date to do observation and it was changed. No refund available. Would not recommend to anyone. If there was a negative star option that would be awesome.

Fantastic experience: I had Bruce for my G2 instructor and he was honestly better than anything I could have hoped for, he was super chill and funny but at the same time a great instructor which I learned lots from. Would 100% recommend for anyone trying to get their G2.

Fantastic experience: I gifted my daughter Driving School and Lessons for her Birthday she had the pleasure of doing her lessons with Bruce Hilton. Such an Amazing instructor, very knowledgeable, patient, kind, crazy and overall such a great sense of humour. She started very nervous to take her lessons and came home after the very first one feeling confident, comfortable and excited to go to her next. I can't forget to mention the jokes she was told each lesson, she'd come back laughing and telling me them on our way home. She wrote her G2 shortly after and passed with flying colours. Thanks Bruce you were Amazing she learned so much and has taken it with her to continue to learn and practice till her G Test. You are appreciated for the job you do I certainly couldn't even imagine.

Fantastic experience: Just finished my DZ course at TTCC North Bay and past my road test today. It’s been a great experience, Don was my instructor and he was phenomenal. Knowledgeable and knows how to convey information and instructions in a meaningful straight forward easy to understand way. Rhonda “Esmeralda” (lol) as I call her, the campus coordinator was amazing also. She really goes the extra mile for students and makes things happen. All in all it was a great experience and the skills I learned made testing relatively easy. Thanks again to all the staff at TTCC North Bay!

Fantastic experience: Hey folks, I recently attended AZ training and HEO course at the Northbay Campus. Both of courses were great and personally I had a lot of fun with it. Mike Widdifield the heavy equipment instructor is very professional and a safety oriented person who could be trusted to teach the safety operation of various types of equipment. He doesn't take short cuts. And then we have Megan Hayter who is the Campus administrator. I can't say enough good stuff about her. The patience, positive attitude, the ability to keep the office afloat and work around everyone's schedule is absolutely phenomenal. Well-done. At last we have Justin Hurrell, one of the AZ trainers. I don't think there's anything this man doesn't know about trucking. A true professional in this field. He is an individual who has the patience and knowledge to coach you through any weaknesses that you may have. On that note folks, I would like to thank Northbay Campus staff for all the training support and fun we had together. I would most definitely recommend TTCC to anyone who wishes to take this type of training.

He is very knowledgeable about driving and trucks, which was helpful to me in my situation. He was patient and really listened to my concerns and was helpful in addressing them. She was very prompt in advising me of my schedules and always got back to me in a timely fashion. Her friendliness and encouragement meant alot to me. Fantastic experience: I just finished my DZ and my HEO course with them in North bay. Megan in the North bay office was amazing with working around my schedule and getting back to me very quickly! Very professional, friendly and knowledgeable about all aspects of the training courses! Justin the truck instructor was awesome at helping me with stuff I felt I was struggling on also showed me some tips and tricks to remember all the small things Mike at the HEO pit was also great, very patient will all of us trying to learn small maneuvers and tricks to be a good operator! That being said would be nice if the company would give him a bit of a better work environment. The trailer is rotten, generator blew up and caught fire, pump on the diesel tank is a joke, the grader is junk and needs to be replaced asap, and small parts here and there on most of the equipment need to be fixed. But all and all Megan, Justin and Mike were all awesome and a pleasure to talk to and learn from

Negative experience: I booked a car for my driver license road test and on the day of the test I discovered that the instructor and the car weren't coming. They didn't informed me, causing lots of stress on the day's test, they just told me to get other car.

Negative experience: Please dont, lie. That was happen that time every time your instructor was lying lying and lying. And refuse me to drop after my test and i paid for pick and drop service. Today i have no issues with you guys. Thats funny you are replying after 5 years.lol. Thank you!

Negative experience: First of all if you've never been in a transport truck ever then you're not supposed to take the MELT program. I didn't know this until after taking the course then failing on the 90 degree alley dock parking that's when I looked into Tri-County in Cambridge, Ontario and they told me that I should have never taken the MELT program. I should have taken the full AZ trucking course that is 8 weeks long with 54 hours forward and 24 hours back plus they train you how to drive a fork lift and how to properly load a trailer for proper weight distribution. Now that I've educated myself I will be attending Tri-County in the new year after I get my money back from the course come income tax time. It makes me upset because they know this all they want is your money plus they don't stick to the program hours or train you properly. I only had 3 hours of backing up practice and I should of had at least 18 hours. Please just educate yourself and don't make the same mistake as myself. Thanks.

Negative experience: Nice people, but the instructors were not teaching to the new standards for the road test laid out by MTO. They will also tell you that they will support you as much as possible to help you succeed - what they actually mean is after the course; they will let you use a simulator if it's available.
