Fantastic experience: Was a nice experience for my wife she had her license the instructor was good, he gave her all the tips that she needed for the exam and showed her how to drive with confidence and how to manage stressful situations with ease, thank you my way driving academy

Negative experience: My instructor, (when I finally got actual lessons, without them getting canceled or rescheduled less than 24 hours in advance,) was always late when picking me up, averaging around 10-15 minutes late and then drops me off at least 13 minutes before the designated drop-off time. Every other time he came to pick me up, there was no driving school sign visibly displayed. Then more time gets shaved off from the ten minute smoke breaks which can go up to fifteen minutes if this also includes a washroom break. The lessons itself are not that productive as I learned how to parallel park on my last lesson. (In comparison, most people learn how to parallel park on their fourth lesson.) Lastly, it is worth noting that my instructor was on his cellphone, texting and taking calls instead of teaching. Overall, my experience was horrible and my experience can be summed up as late pick up, early drop-offs, car having no driving school sign, long breaks and little to no instruction.

Negative experience: Unfortunately my 17-year-old daughter did not have a good experience with her 10-hours driving lessons. Her driving instructor was Ben Kalif. He never once introduced himself to her and on their first day of driving he motioned to a car next to them at a red light and told her that even the dog in the car beside them thought she was stupid. When they would approach a red light and needed to turn right, he told her not to stop and just go if there are no pedestrians (this would fail her on the driver’s test). He also encouraged her to do rolling stops at a Stop sign (another thing that would fail her on the test). He only showed her how to do uphill parking once and never showed her how to do downhill parking. She was shown parallel parking three times. However he refused to let her keep doing it until she understood how to do it. Instead he would reach over and grab the steering wheel to do it himself and then tell her to go back to driving on the road. He also would refuse to answer any questions she would have about driving and would respond with “I don’t know, we will find out.” On the positive side he was always on time for her lesson. However, he never turned off the car and let her practice turning on/off the car except for once when she was allowed to start the car. We were not aware that the main part of her driving instruction was driving to the next driver’s house. My daughter would then have to sit in the backseat for 30 - 45 minutes after her 2-hour driving lesson ended with the next student driver driving across the city to take her home. I chose this company because their website specifically said they would custom tailor the driving lessons to each students needs. This is definitely not true. I paid $700 for my daughter to learn how to drive and to be ready for her road test and she is nowhere near ready. When the fifth day of driving lessons was over, the instructor never told my daughter or me what she needed to work on to improve her driving so that she would be ready for the road test. I think this company owes my daughter another 2-hour driving lesson with a different instructor who will help her with what she needs to be ready for the road test (ie: parallel parking, downhill parking, how to drive in a traffic circle, how to safely turn left in a residential area).

Fantastic experience: My Way Driving Schools is one of the best school experiences that I have found. The online program was very helpful and interesting. The driving teacher Mustapha Midami was very patient and helpful and funny and answered any questions that I had. I recommend this course to everyone .

Positive experience: Beware of booking here if you are a woman of have daughters or wives. I bought a package for lessons and I was extremely dissapointed. If you do decide to do it, the only instructor that was good was Mustapha, the rest of them were man that are not very nice or respectful towards women, and do not care at all about your driving skills. One instructor was always on his phone speaking in his language and just signaling where to go and no questions were answered or tips were given. The other instructor I got was incredibly rude and disrispectful and unprofessional. I asked him about safety tips for winter, that I wanted to practice parking and how to turn right. He told me to shut up and stop asking questions and just drive and do what he said and not what I wanted, he said this is not time for questions, if you want that go to a coffee to talk, you can only drive. He yelled at me and said you can't drive and told me to get off. He made me feel very uncomfortable and was very rude to me. I told him he was being very direspectful and all I wanted was answers, he was rude and spoke in another language to what I assume was cursing me because he sounded like it. He was very misogynistic and not knowing what to answer to any of my questions. At the end I asked for my money back which I got only after my husband had to intervene for me because the owner treated me very differently from him and gave me a very different answer from him. I understand their culture is different but that doesn't give them the right to be so misogynistic, impatient and rude towards woman just for the fact of being a woman. I am 33, speak English, already drove in my country, just needed to brush on some rules and can defend myself. I can't imagine how they act around teenagers or immigrants. Beware.

Fantastic experience: I had a good experience with instructor Ben. I have been driving for 6y in my home country, but as I needed to get the Canadian driver’s license, I decided to take a brush up course, just to receive some tips and prepare for road test to get used to the rules in a practical way. Although it is only 2h course, it was very productive and I went through all possible scenarios, then I decided to take the road test in a day after the course so I went with everything fresh in my mind and all the tips really helped me to pass the road test in my first attempt!

Fantastic experience: Best driving school in Calgary! Failed my exam two times before switching up to my way driving school, I went for the 10hrs on road package and it was perfect. Had enough time to cover every aspect and perfect it!! 10/10 I passed my exam on the same day of my last lesson and it was so helpful because he made it an exam simulation. Definitely recommend if you want fast results!

Fantastic experience: Just have a wonderful experience with this school. As an experienced driver coming from abroad, I had to undertake the road test here in Calgary. I booked 10hours lessons with the school to get prepared. They provided me with tips to adjust to the calgaryan driving standards, and after 6hours of training they advised me that I was ready for the road test. They did not try to oversale driving lessons! and so I booked the road test and I passed! So glad for this experience and I would definitely recommend this schoool for anyone looking for driving lessons either for learning (beginners) or to adjust their skills when you come from a different place like me. Fantastic experience: I took a Brush-up course with My Way Driving and MY!!!!!!. It was so helpful. Passed the test at the first try! I would recommend it any day!

Negative experience: Paid $575.00 for lessons. Driver no-showed numerous times without a word and then they charged me $250.00 that had to be paid before rescheduling, due to their drivers errors. Then they cancelled my student account and refused to offer me any lessons and kept my money. Robbed me of $850, made up random rules about lessons after I asked why I couldn’t log in to my account to schedule my lessons, lack basic communication skills and are super unprofessional all around. Didn’t even reach out to have a conversation with me or offer me re-payment so that I could learn elsewhere. You like being robbed of your hard earned money and getting nothing in return … this is the place for you!

Fantastic experience: I found this school to be great! My parents were always hesitant to drive with me because of my lack of confidence behind the wheel. However, after driving with Mustapha, my instructor, this changed for the better. The reason he made for such a good instructor is because he was always patient, knows when to break or control your steering wheel while driving in times of need, and is overall a nice person to talk to! I especially loved that the school: 1) can pick you up from anywhere in Calgary (and the next driver will drop you off home) 2) how excellent the instructors are, and their years of experience 3) the excellent quality of the car for driving practice 4) how safe I felt with my instructor behind the wheel The one thing I didn’t like was how long it took to book my lessons (1.5 months ahead lol)

Fantastic experience: I joined a driving school in NE, as I was very determined to learn driving. Though I tried to pass the exam multiple times, I couldn't make it through. Fantastic experience: Majdi is a very patient man! Actually, No. As per him, it's because he smokes...lol... I joined My Way Driving school last month and Majdi helped me shape my driving well. I have had never driven before, I thought thats gonna be a problem. For Majdi - as he said - it was even better. Negative experience: Very disappointed when I saw a red Toyota Corolla with a My Way Driving School sign on the top of the vehicle driving in the middle of the road and the wrong side of the road and then the passenger throwing his half empty Tim's coffee out the window on my country road. Very disrespectful!

He always was always coming ahead of time and never late for my scheduled lessons! He was very calm and patient when I was messing up my driving, he nicely explained to me what I have done wrong and it was pretty straight forward. His technique for the parallel parking was super handy- it helped me nail the parallel parking from the first time on my road test. Fantastic experience: The cost for their brush up lessons is a little less than most schools, which was great for me since I needed more than 1 brush up lesson to boost my confidence and level of comfort.. Majdi is great in that he follows up and really tries to accommodate your needs whether it be with scheduling or specific driving techniques you want to work on. Mustafa's fool-proof parallel parking technique is in fact, FOOLPROOF, each and everytime! They both worked with me to get me the skills and confidence to pass my road test. Thanks guys!

Majdi was very professional and patient, always pointed out my mistakes during driving and clearly explained everything. Fantastic experience: I recently completed my class 5 GDL driver course with My Way, and I would highly recommend it. The online class instruction was excellent with plenty of detail on every subject. The road lessons were fantastic as well. My driving instructor was very calm and relaxed, as well as being clear and concise about mistakes that I made, without getting angry about them. The course also came at a cheaper price than competitors such as AMA. Thanks to My Way, I passed my driver test the first time. Overall, a fantastic driving school!

Positive experience: The driving experience itself was pretty good. Both instructors are nice, calm and explain themselves well. Only gripe was that they changed the times of the lessons for a couple of the days. While it didn't conflict with my schedule it is a little inconvenient. Overall great experience. Would recommend.

Fantastic experience: I took 10 hours in September with Ben and 2 hours with Majdi prior to my GDL road test in December (I'm from the UK and found I wasn't GDL-exempt after my first 10 hours, otherwise I've no doubt I would have passed under Ben's tutelage). Absolutely fantastic instruction and on the fly feedback from both instructors. I was fresh off the boat with no prior driving experience and went into my exam with confidence and didn't get a single demerit point! They're very exam-focused and seem very familiar with a lot of the registry exam routes. Mine was in Southland, and we had covered every possible route in under 2 hours. Easy pass - thanks My Way Driving!

Fantastic experience: I had a good experience with this school. I would highly recommend Majdi as your instructor. He prepared me and took me around the route a couple times right before the road test and passed with no problem . All and all Majdi was a good driving instructor.

Fantastic experience: I chose Myway because they offered a package of 10 hours of driving only. Other schools I looked into only offered 2 hrs of driving and/or were much more expensive. I needed practice before doing my road test and wanted to make sure I was prepared for it. The instructor was friendly and professional. He was always on time and made me feel confident in my driving. I also liked how easy it was to register and book my driving times online. I passed my road test with flying colours! Thanks!

Negative experience: I chose this school for it's reviews and price. I went into the class and was shocked by how it went. The woman talked half the time about her childhood driving stories from when she was a young girl and insulted students on their personal lives. It got worse on the final day, written test day. There was a young girl in front of me having her test marked and she had failed, I actually heard the teacher telling her to change the answers to the correct ones so she would pass. I felt like what was the point of spending my entire weekend in the class if we were all going to pass regardless of our knowledge. My in car driving lessons left much to be desired. The teacher had no plan on the route we were taking any of the days. He would yell instructions last minute. He would yell "push gas and go" the second a light would change from red to green. He would get left and right confused and then get mad at me for not reading his mind. He would answer his phone while I was driving! I went in feeling pretty good about my future ability to drive and just needed guidance on road rules for the most part. I went for my road test feeling good, little did i know i was missing alot of information from my in car classes. My instructor did not tell me i had to shoulder check on left turns so at the end of my road test I was surprised I was dinged 30 points for failing to do so, resulting in me to fail. Now I am scared I will fail again and am contemplating going to a different school for brush up classes. I would call My Way Driving School a total waste of money! I will never recommend them to anyone!
