Negative experience: Appalling Service, Non-Existent Courses - AVOID AT ANY AND ALL COST I wish I could give zero stars. This driving school is an absolute disgrace. I signed up and paid IN FULL in July of 2023, with the understanding that I'd be able to get my license within 10 months, as advertised. Now, here's the kicker: they have NO AVAILABLE COURSES. Months have gone by, and my learner's license is about to expire. This means I'll be forced to pay for a probationary license that's basically useless, as I won't have completed the required driving course to actually go and do a practical test at the SAAQ. Let me break down how ridiculous this is: I've built a driving simulator in my bedroom out of sheer frustration! It's absurd that I was able to obtain my PILOT CERTIFICATE before completing a driver's course at this place. To add insult to injury, Tecnic has a history of canceling classes at the last minute. Scheduling classes is like winning the lottery – you might get lucky and snag a spot months down the line....... Tecnic is a complete waste of time and money. They are robbing people of their opportunity to learn to drive and obtain a license. AVOID THIS SCHOOL AT ALL COSTS!

Fantastic experience: Kim Bullet was my instructor for my whole process and everything went smoothly. She was flexible and was able to schedule me when I was free (didn’t have to miss school or sports). Because of this I was able to get my license quickly. Can’t say enough good things about her.

Fantastic experience: Very good experience driving with Kim! She was able to open up special hours for me so I was able to get through my courses as quickly as I could and also never have to miss any school, sports or work!

Fantastic experience: Both my girls went to Tecnic, and had a great experience. I really like how Kim Bullett was able to help them and work around their schedules. Between school, work and sports, they did not miss any of them. This is a great way to help the students get their licences as well as not miss school etc.

Fantastic experience: Excellent place for driving lessons. The possibility to choose the driving hours ourselves according to the availability of my children based on their schedules (Studies/Work) is wonderful. The instructors are patient, understanding, and very competent.

Positive experience: I really enjoyed my experience with Kimberly, she was really sweet and understanding. I liked that she helped me with my availability, she took the time to go over my schedule with me to schedule my driving lessons at the times I was most available. It was really appreciated!

Fantastic experience: My son had a great experience with Tecnic Chateauguay. With their and specifically his driving instructor Kim Bullett's ability to offer flexible and convenient scheduling for road classes, he did not have to miss work, sports, or school. It would be a great asset to the school, if all of their instructors had this ability.

Fantastic experience: Kim is the reason my son Logan had the best experience. Kim scheduled Logan's driving around around HIS schedule, not the school's. This allowed Logan to not miss any work! He never had to take any time off. I think this is an amazing concept that so many families can benefit from! Kim rocks!

Negative experience: By far the worst driving teacher I’ve ever received I am english speaking and received Mr Zhen guo Ma for all of my driving classes. For anyone that might come across this teacher cancel your class and book a new one , a French instructor would’ve been better , no idea how to speak English nor French . This is honestly unacceptable as he doesn’t speak either English or French to teach a driving course !

Negative experience: It has now been 2 months since absolutely no driving lessons (outings) have been offered to me. One would expect to finish everything in less than 18 months, but not even classes are given at a DRIVING SCHOOL?? I deliberately chose Tecnic, I paid more than I would have paid elsewhere for better service, but it seems it was not worth it. If you are starting your driving lessons, enroll in a school that at least offers the bare minimum, lessons. (At least when there are classes, they are well given)

Fantastic experience: Nadya really allowed me to continue my journey at Tecnic. After several bad driving experiences with other instructors, it had become way too stressful for me to attend my classes. So after 1 year, I stopped my driving classes. Nadya then took me under her wing, which helped me a lot. Today, I finished my classes at Tecnic with confidence and pride thanks to Nadya.

Fantastic experience: A great place to get your motorcycle license. Technic Châteauguay has a lot of availability, which allows you to finish your classes in less than a month. As for me, I passed my closed circuit exam today and I must admit that Technic Châteauguay has been a great help! I recommend it.

Negative experience: No one answers the phone when I try to change the date of my class. Marie-Ève, the supervisor, was rude and not professional during our exchange. She thinks she's Ms. Tecnic. I was charged twice $250 plus taxes, which is incorrect because no one answers the phone for changing my appointment. Attention attention attention I am really dissatisfied and I honestly regret it.

Negative experience: Whoever answer the phones at reception on May 7th at 6 pm is not willing to speak English to me. They offer English courses BUT refuse to speak English. Awful service.

Negative experience: Very slow acting ppl They get up at 11:00 and barely work even in open hours. If you take a cours in the beginning of the season, forget about taking license for that season let alone driving. Would suggest going to Valley field Tecnic directly until chateauguay put together their working discipline! I gave 2 stars only for their existence!

Negative experience: The instructors are superbly supportive, they are very kind and calm. However, the lack of availability is dreadful. I had to wait more than two months to schedule a single driving lesson and when I called, I was asked if I could take time off from school to attend the only available lesson... To think that we paid over 1000 dollars for this lack of management.

Fantastic experience: I had the instructor Alexandre for my outing 14-15 and it was the best course of my technical experience. I had to come to Technic Chateauguay after a cancellation from my own branch and my instructor, Alexandre, not only showed me a lot of new things, but he was also such an open instructor, attentive, and pleasant to have my course with.

Negative experience: Today, I was supposed to have my driving lessons at Tecnic Châteaux-guy from 9:30 to 11:30. However, my instructor cancelled by voicemail at 6:58 this morning. On my phone, the caller ID showed 'Montreal, Quebec' and I thought it was a fraudulent call since the person was not in my contacts. No official communication from the school has been received. You cancelled my lesson at the last minute. It is totally unfair that students have to pay a fee if they do not cancel 24 hours before the lesson, if the instructors are not even capable of doing the same. My mother and I drove for 1 hour for the round trip.

Negative experience: j’ai eux la plus pire expérience dans mon dernier cours que je recommande fortement d’aller voir ailleurs. je suis arrivée au moins 15 minutes d’avance à la sortie et la tutrice à commencer le cours 10 minutes en retard parce qu’elle attendait son chum pour un latte glacée… et elle finit le cours 20 minutes d’avance.. aucune pratique de stationnement malgré le fait que c’est ma dernière phase.. vraiment pas fort. pour le prix qu’on paye on aimerait ça avoir le service qu’on mérite non? il y a aussi le fait que aucun des profs nous apprend d’un façon cohérente ce qui peut vous compliquer si vous ne vous pouvez pas pratiquer chez vous. je ne vais pas mentionner de nom parce que la personne mérite pas d’être punie pour ça mais c’était pas fort.

Negative experience: J'ai laissé un dépôt juste avant la pandémie, 150$ pour un cours de moto. Voilà que depuis les lois ayant changés, je ne peux faire le cours avant printemps 2023. J'ai demandé le reboursement en attendant ce temps et reprendre mais on me le refuse, j'ai besoin de cet argent. Je comptais revenir faire mon cours en 2023 mais oubliez ça vous êtes très malhonnête. De plus, Il est illégal de garder un dépôt au Quebec. Honte à vous , vous êtes de mauvais hommes/femmes d'affaire.

Negative experience: Waiting months between appointments is not acceptable. Go elsewhere and get your licence in a timely fashion. This is a disgrace and a waste of time. You’re literally paying for paperwork that’s it and you wait and wait and wait Then you learn on your own while waiting for someone to call you with an appointment so you can get the rest of your papers. If I could give -0 I would. Save your kids the heartache and go somewhere else No other schools let your permit expire before finishing your course. What a shame

Negative experience: Be warned, they do not have a single driving course available until April. I don't know why they allow more students to sign-up than they have staff to teach the courses, but they will definitely not tell you about this delay until you have already registered. I understand with covid things move slower but I started looking to register for an in car session December 10th. It's now January 21st and still nothing available until April at the earliest. Just incredible. Believe all the stories on here about ppl failing to get off of their learners and needing to renew it, students being left high and dry for months and months with absolutely no guidance. These stories are the norm not the exception Edit: if you scroll you will find that this issue with not being able to find classes for months and months is NOT an isolated issue or even a new one. I see reviews that are nearly two years old now complaining about the exact same thing: they will gladly let you pay for everything and then explain only afterwards that there are no practical classes available and thus no way to actually complete the license requirements within the timeframe you have the learner's. Really shady business practice honestly

Negative experience: They are just useless. You have to wait for 11pm to book your session. Poor in communication, poor in customer service, poor in everything. My advice, better go to lasalle or saint constant because those in chateauguay are not worth it. You can not join them on the phone.

Fantastic experience: I signed up for motorcycle courses here. The theory is online and the circuit is in Valleyfield. I had no issues with this.The bikes were varied and all the great running condition. I was impressed by the collective experience and knowledge the teachers had. They were great! If you are thinking of going somewhere else for a class 6 DON'T! You may not get as thorough of training from any other school.

Positive experience: Vraiment pas beaucoup de disponibilités (trop peu de staff et de cours pour la demande) mais Daniel est un excellent moniteur et si vous avez la chance de conduire avec lui vous ne serez pas déçu.

Negative experience: Really disappointed… when I got my learners license, a lady told me to practice and they will call me back in about 4 months to schedule classes and some could even be cut in half or jointed. I’ve waited for more than 6 months without any news and it has now been 2 months that I call them for some practice classes and they were never available. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE! You will probably get stuck and have to pay to renew your learners license.

Negative experience: Mon beau-frère ( Jordan Charette-Dubois) est inscrit depuis l'été dernier, il a tout payé dun coup pour ne pas avoir à faire attendre les cours. Maintenant PLUS de 6 mois qu'il est prêt pour la phase deux et quand il essais de téléphoner aucune réponse. Il ne demande que d'avancer pour faire c'est cours pratique pour pouvoir enfin avancer dans la vie... C'est un bien y penser.

Negative experience: Bonjour..Vous pouvez changer d'école de conduite tecnic sans frais..nous avons changée pour l'école de mercier et en sommes très heureux..la dame la bas connais son affaire très rapide..ma fille a presque terminé dans le temps de le dire...un gros bouuuuuhhhh pour tecnic chauteauguay...Si j'avais pu mettre zéro je l'aurais fait. Attente interminable pour obtenir des cours pratique. Voila plus d'un an déjà que ma fille est inscrite a cet endroit et elle a eu son premier cour pratique hier. Je m'adresse aux autres parents ..nous devrions faire un recours collectif contre cette mauvaise entreprise ! Incapable de parler aux gestionnaires. Negative experience: La pire école de conduite que j’ai vu! L’attente est interminable, personne ne répond au téléphone et lorsqu’on se déplace en succursale, ils nous disent tout le temps que les places du mois présent sont toutes prises et qu’il faut attendre le mois prochain ou parfois même deux mois plus tard alors qu’ils ont plusieurs moniteurs, comparer à d’autres écoles qui eux en ont beaucoup moins et qui avance plus vite. Certains moniteurs sont très impolis et irrespectueux. Ils me font finir mes cours sur la route 15 voir 20 minutes à l’avance et parfois ils arrivent même en retard et ne s’excuse pas. Très gros manque de professionnalisme. Je vous conseil de ne pas aller là-bas! Perte de temps et d’argent.

Negative experience: Jamais de disponibilités sur la route malgré le prix très cher qu'on paie
Positive experience: Je donne trois étoiles simplement grâce à Cintia qui est une instructrice hors pair, drôle et passionnée! Le reste de mes instructeurs ont fait déficit, une m’a stressé et crier dessus au point de me faire pleurer et l’autre était d’une non-chalance étonnante. De plus, même avant la période COVID-19 les disponibilités étaient rares. Merci toutefois, d’avoir fait partie de mon parcours d’apprentissage.

Fantastic experience: Excellent experience with technic. Learned everything I (needed to learn) by my personal favourite driving instructor (Nazifa faizi) whom I did most of my classes with. Every class I had with her was an excellent learning experience, with other instructors It didn't feel like much of a learning experience and was always repetitive. With Nazifa there was always a different location to drive to. I'd learn all of the essentials throughout the driving experience in one class with her from parking, parallel parking, checking my blindspots, stoping properly at stop signs, staying at the speed limit etc. I highly recommend any student to take her as an instructor.

Fantastic experience: "It's a great place to learn how to drive, really, but it is so long to schedule your courses because there is no availability! I had to move one course, just one and it was in mid April, and it now is June! I have to wait two months to attend a class... let me tell you that I could take that class on the ground if there's no place! I don't care as long as I can move on and just go to that class. And they say it takes about a year to get your license... lies. You can't get it in like less than 2 years. It's crazy and really disappointing." I wrote this review about a week ago and Technic contacted me so I could reschedule my courses and take them earlier. The lady was super nice and I'm glad that I had the possibility to move my theoretical classes so of course I had to change my review. Just like I said, if anything is wrong with your courses, just call them back and explain yourself and everything will be fine! (It's still crowded but that's not their fault if they're popular)

Negative experience: I am absolutely disgusted. Yesterday i had a class, i woke up with a stomach flu so i couldn't go. I also couldn't get in touch with anyone to inform them Now saying i have to pay 80$ because i missed it. Would you rather i go and get everyone sick? And to tell me that i should have got a doctors note. Are you kidding me? Knowing that if i have symptoms that could be related to covid you are told to stay home!! I refuse to pay 80$ worst service ever also to add, she said even if i would have called and got through i still had to pay 80$ because apparently it doesnt matter if you wake up sick your somehow supposed to know 48 hours in advance.

Positive experience: Severe shortage of instructors. It's been almost 2 months since my son had an on-road course. Because of their lack of staff, he will be passed the 12 months to get his license. If we had known, we would have gone elsewhere. 2020-02-25 update... I became an instructor in order to help alleviate the wait times. Maybe other people can do the same thing.

Negative experience: While the website advertises course in both English and French, scheduling motorcycle classes in English was impossible. I signed up for the theory course in English and scheduled my four closed circuit courses only to find out that there wasn't a second theory class in English after my closed circuit courses. Additionally, I was advised that not all of the instructors actually speak English, but could basically "tell me where to go on the course" in English. I was advised that there was one instructor who was fluent, but that they couldn't schedule with him because they didn't know which days/courses he would be teaching. When I asked the staff about the second theory exam, they advised me that they would have to call a supervisor and call me back. 4 hours later, nobody had called me back. When I called the next day, I was advised the same thing. It was only after my husband called the following day that they agreed to refund my money. If you need service in English, I suggest you go elsewhere.

Negative experience: Love the school. Love the instructors. My one star rating is due to the fact that there’s not enough instructors for the volume. Why do I have to wait two months in between each class causing it to take 3x as long to get my licence. It’s disapointing and ridiculous . Had I known I would’ve gone elsewhere. Also pointing out my year would end June 16 2018 But can’t even start my last module until July 18 2018 hence my frustration. My permit will expire before I can go for my test
