Positive experience: Az Course was outlined to be 8 weeks and took more like 16 due to lack of staff, broken vehicles and bad scheduling. I was the first in class since covid so I understand a rough start however the contract was not up to its standards on thier part. The virtual simulator was broken the entire time I was there. I did pass my az thanks to Mohammed and Tom but I would look at options before signing up here. The trainers are over worked and underpaid. The trucks are all over million miles and constantly suffering breakdowns.

Positive experience: Jim, Brian, and dave were great instructors and a lot of help. Tesha was also awesome! But missing a lot of time was not great. Was hoping training would be consecutive days not random days throughout the week which made it hard to work around.

Fantastic experience: Training drivers and office staff at the Dartmouth location were excellent and knowledgeable. Minor issues with scheduling over the course duration. Would recommend to prospective students.

Fantastic experience: I had been wanting to take the course for AZ & HEO for a long time but just didn't have the time to be able to dedicate to getting it done. Finally this year was able to take the time and get it done. First up is Shannon. thank you for helping me with my schedule so we could get this done as soon as possible so it reduced my personal expense as I was self funding. Second up is Mohammed. Can't say enough nice things here but if you're considering taking the course listen to me when I say, "you get out what you put in" and if you're willing to put in the work then Mohammed will match and exceed your energy 1000%. He knows his stuff and has gone the extra mile to help ensure you become the best driver you can. Third but definitely not last is Todd. I am very much the type of person that likes to just hop in the machine and figure it out myself at first. Todd was great with letting me do this but he would give advice to make my operating smoother or more efficient which is key. Again, thank you everyone at TTCC Barrie and good luck to anyone who attends in the future.

Fantastic experience: Just finished my course at ttccs and honestly it was the best experience, Todd my trainer in the oro pit in orrilia was phenomenal, Todd has the passion for teaching people to run equipment and it definitely shows, Always learning something new from him and helping me correct minor issues, so i couldnt be more thankfull for todd. Shannon the Admissions Coordinator was also super good, communication was always good, even when she was out of office (on her longgggg vacations) there was always someone there to answer a question. So jsut want to say thank you to Todd and everybody for making this experience super fun.

Fantastic experience: I did my air brake course with transport training centres and it was great. Thom was my teacher and he was amazing. Learned everything I needed to while having a laugh and enjoying all Thom had to offer. Overall fantastic experience and Thom made it very easy to absorb all the information in order to pass the written and practical tests. Thanks Thom and TTCC.

Fantastic experience: TTCC guy if you are truly serious and dedicated to learn about the field of driving in heavy equipment don't waist your time elsewhere this is the one stop company. To Thom my instructor he is the best in the world made you feel comfortable and engaged into wanting to learn I thought it was going to be long and boring 2 days for Z endorsement class you did not even feel where the time went. Fantastic experience: I had my Z course on November 2end 3rd and I was walking in there thinking I was going to have a really hard time with this course but the trainer we had thom was literally a gem and make the two day course a breeze if I had the option of 100 starts he would definitely be getting them thom thanks again for all the training that u have provided ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Fantastic experience: I cannot begin to express my gratitude to this school. From the first email I sent to the day of my road test they were absolutely amazing. Entering into trucking is scary to say the least but the trainers are supportive and understanding and do everything they can to calm your nerves and prepare you for test day. They go above and beyond at every lesson and even after to ensure you are prepared and knowledgeable. Some stay late others come in early to ensure each student gets the individual help they need. They do not teach each student the same because let’s be honest we all learn different and require different personalities. It’s not very often I say this but 5 stars is way too low for this school and I encourage everyone to stop looking and give them a call because I promise you will not be disappointed.

Negative experience: I did not learn how to operate machinery after thousands paid. I have a certificate that no employer recognizes. I had one interviewer laugh when I said I was trained here because he knows their reputation which I did not know was bad. I had to involve my case worker to get my certificate officiated because they lost my exam. The equipment is falling apart, buckets running with missing teeth for months, operators chairs being broken that I had to fix myself as a student. My equipment operator instructor was under-funded, ignored, disgruntled and unhelpful because he was defeated by years of mistreatment. He did not teach anything and told us to go in the yard and do basic exercises and never explain maintenance or operation techniques. I wasted months of valuable time on something that holds zero weight in the professional world. Go somewhere else.

Fantastic experience: My experience was awesome did all training at ore pit for Heavy equipment operator and the trainer was Tod Drover was very good at his job and for me it was great as I never drove any equipment before now I am at the end of my training this part anyhow Thanks to Tod Drover and the staff at the school for making this a well informed course and lots of training Thanks Tod Drover for your knowledge of all the equipment.

Fantastic experience: I attended the Z course at this center. The staff there are very active, caring, and committed to the success of the participants. They put in every effort to provide all the material through explanations, practical sessions, educational clips, and more for the participants. It was a very beneficial course for me.

Positive experience: I did the Heavy Equipment platinum course in the summer at the Oro pit. While the equipment was outdated, (they do not have GPS and most companies are looking for that skill) the instructor was not. Todd was not only very knowledgeable, but he was not afraid to get out and demonstrate his skills to teach you about different techniques with each machine. He is also extremely friendly and does not put unwanted pressure on his students. He gets the fact that everyone learns at a different pace and builds a rapport with each of his students to get the most out of them. If you are looking to get into this industry, TTCC in Barrie is a pretty good school, despite the fact that they are lagging in technology for their machines. I will say that even though they do not have GPS they are still good machines to learn on.

Shannon at the office is great aswell , she made sure I had no problems with my enrollment and made sure I had everything I needed. Great team at ttcc, I've definitely learned a lot and enjoyed my time traing with them

Negative experience: Unfortunately you can’t give 0 stars or I would have. Overall terrible experience and felt like a scam. Went for the DZ course and started in truck training 4 days before they scheduled my test and only got to drive for at best 30 mins. Assigned a trainer who clearly did not want to train. Multiple things on the test were never mentioned by my trainer and I made sure to study a lot and be prepared as much as I could since the trainer clearly didn’t prepare enough information to pass. Trainer on his phone while I’m going through mock tests not paying attention. And their solution was to take another day to train and fork over 400$ more to do the test again. Do not waste your time or money here. Lost 1600$ don’t make my mistake

Negative experience: Gave 1 star because you can't give zero. The administration staff needs fired and the entire staff replaced.. they do not return calls. Emails anything. I would fire the entire staff and start again.. total joke. . Sadly I'm not mistaken I've been trying to contact Jessica or shannon for over 2 weeks phone calls emails nothing. Go to pit in Barrie to find ot closed. Our best week in your heavy equipment training has been I think 6 hours we're in week 13 of a nine week course the barrie office has my number and had sent you all an email. To call me please do so im very unhappy with the people you have running that place .. look forward to your call and some answers..

Negative experience: Would not recommend them to anyone I have stopped into the office a few times to get info on air brake course never could get a answer always told someone would call me back never happened finally I got them on the phone after a number of calls they then said I was registered to do the course July 20/21 signed the email forms and booked the time off work a few days before the course I called them again and after being on hold for 20 mins finally talked to someone asked them to confirm the course was still going and that I am registered to attend and the start time was told yes I am registered and the start time was 8 am showed up today at 7:45 only to find out that the course had started at 7am and that I was not on the list even a few other students had said they were also told 8am I was then told that I would not be able to do the course horrible experience would strongly advise anyone to reconsider doing any program with this company Good luck

Positive experience: Just went for my road test yesterday and passed on the first try. Tom and Mohammed are fantastic instructors. Tom is probably one of the funniest people I’ve met and Mohammed is one of the best teachers I’ve ever had in any subject. Both are great people and I truly appreciate them. Negative experience: Did the HEO training at the Hawkstone pit.What training??I guess I got Bruce at the the wrong time because all Bruce did was show me the controls and that's it go dig some trenches!!Paid out of pocket to do it in 6 weeks and now it's week 8 and still it's not done!!Called the office and they never phoned back.. I had Jeff Cabana on my last day of excavator teach me everything in one day that I learned in the entire program by Bruce!!Sorry I don't recommend this place to teach you HEO,you pay thousands and you can't get a job because company's want 3 plus years experience.. Update it's now June 28 and just completed now and I started in March.. Update it's now Sept and still can't find a job,they give you so called leads that are 150kms from your house

Fantastic experience: Great experience getting my AZ CDL with TTCC Barrie! (and I passed on the first try) I’m grateful to all my instructors for their generous support and guidance, Muhammad and Todd did most of my sessions and they were awesome, patience to spare and great tips! Big thanks also to Thom for making the 2 week in class learning module pass with efficiency and a few laughs. It’s pretty dry stuff and Thom related a ton of real world experiences to give the lessons demonstrative substance. I had a couple practical lessons with Chris and Brendan as well and each helped with sorting all the information to apply it for my road test. The real heroes at TTCC Barrie campus are the 2 amazing ladies that organize and schedule and problem solve and encourage the students. Shannon is an exceptional manager, organizer and problem solver along with being a genuinely nice person. Jess greets everyone with a warm manner and has her hand on the pulse of scheduling and student wrangling like a seasoned pro! Thank you all for making my training so successful and enjoyable. Fantastic experience: I passed my AZ test. I had a stammering problem but Muhammad supported me alot. He was the only one who put all the efforts to make his students train. I am not sure which instructor you get but you will be alot lucky if you got Muhammad. No one will make you feel comfortable on roads as he would. You'll be lucky if you got Muhammad. There is alot of things to worked in school. Not every instructor is good and focused. There are bunch of things that are need to be solved in school.

Fantastic experience: I just finished my AZ training with TTCC, because of the training I’ve gotten from all the staff there most importantly, Mohammed. I managed to pass my test with flying colors, And received my AZ license. Mohammed just doesn’t teach you how to drive a truck to pass the test he teaches you how to Excel driving a truck and preparing you for entering the industry. I just want to thank everybody at the Barrie campus from Shanon for scheduling everything and making it easy to Tom Chris and Todd for all the input that they gave. If you’re thinking about getting your license for AZ or DZ I strongly recommend TTCC

Fantastic experience: What a journey! Before I started, I had never been inside of a truck. In fact, I had never even touched a truck before. The only thing I knew about manual driving is the word 'clutch', so learning it first on a tractor trailer was a daunting and challenging experience to say the least. I had lots going on for almost the entire duration of my course which means I didn't always have the best availability, preparation, or focus for my lessons. But this school did not give up on me, my Instructor Mohammad did not give up on me. As with all his students, he worked tirelessly and creatively to teach me inspection/operation/safety concepts and corrected misconceptions when they occurred. He kept pushing me and encouraging me right up until the moments before my test and I am grateful to be one of his students. I still have lots of learning ahead of me, but by the Grace & Mercy of God and the care of the people at this school I was able to earn the privilege of receiving an ACZ license. I am also grateful to Chris and Tom for their impactful lessons, to Shannon for organizing my lessons around my limited availability, and of course to my Online Instructor Chris for introducing professional driving and tractor trailers to me. I have been fascinated by tractor trailers and how they move for a long time. Learning how to operate them from the Great Canadian/American Truckers at TTCC has been a memorable journey that will be forever a part of me. Thank you!

Negative experience: Scammers. I waited 98 days for the course to start, and the $2,000 money was never returned. If I had completed your training, I would not have left my negative review. I wrote to you, called and came to the office many times, but there was never anyone in the office, they rarely answered the phone and told me to wait, although all the terms of the contract had expired. The review was at least some hope for me that you would answer me. At that time, I explained how important it was for me, because I had just arrived from Ukraine, fleeing the war, I needed to acquire a profession and start working. I have all the payment documents and a medical certificate that I sent you. I can send them to you again. And it is understandable why you "did not find" them, you even answered me 10 months later when I left the city, and then dryly offering your courses, this shows your complete incompetence in "fulfilling" the contract. And lack of respect for people.

Fantastic experience: They have been very accommodating of me and my challenges that I've had to face to make my schedule work. A great program with a special shout out to Shannon Philion at the Barrie campus for helping me with everything.

Negative experience: This is the worst driving school. PLEASE save your money and go elsewhere. The entire process was a nightmare right from day one in Barrie. The customer service over the phone is bad and can barley even get a hold of people Except for my instructor Mahommod. He went above and beyond to figure out all of TTCC screw ups.

Negative experience: Worst possible experience ever!!! If you are able to get them to actually respond to get you registered will be a miracle to begin with. I had to go into the local campus because emails were not being answered. I was pre approved online for financing that never got put in place and now I am being persued for the full amount. Material taught inclass is out dated from the 80s and 90s, instructors contradict the materials taught and cause confusion when it comes to safety procedures and laws. If there is another place to learn HEO, go there!!!! Don't get f#$%ed the way I have. Only upside was Bruce the practical instructor. He would get 5 stars. UPDATE: The battle to speak to anyone within management is ongoing and all requests have gone without answer and ignored. Absolutely terrible experience and service. The sarcasm from those you can contact is beyond disgusting. Nothing like spending good money to be spoken to poorly. Will never deal with this company ever again and a complaint will be entered to the better business bureau.

This man showed me more kindness and patience then I deserved, and every day went above and beyond to teach me everything he could. I definitely wasn’t an easy student, but that man refused to give up on me and refused to let me give up on myself. Whether it was scorching hot with the dust blowing into his eyes, or it was raining cats and dogs, Bruce was always making himself available to teach and answer questions. In my experience, he let nothing get in the way of him teaching his students. I couldn’t have asked for a better instructor, and I hope you guys at TTCC realize just how lucky you are having a guy like that teaching for you. Thom taught me how to slow down, relax and breathe. Ray also taught me to slow down and stop be so nervous. I was struggling with shifting , double clutching and backing. Positive experience: The trainers at the Barrie campus Thom, and Arnie were amazing instructors both very knowledgeable and good trainers they don’t just teach you how to drive but how to be a good driver. I have nothing good to say about the organization of the company, I would not recommend this place to anyone.

Negative experience: Hi everybody My experience with ttcc Campus Barrie was not a good one In the beginning they changed me 5 instructors so ,5 lessons only for Schedule 1,I spent very short time driving the truck and less more to learn back up I paid 130 dollars to hour for have more driving lessons, but they didn't have time for me,the last 2 hours payed there were in the same day with my road test They didn't give information like a driver student can to be assisted by a AZ driver In the last email where I asked about a truck for road test nobody answered me

Positive experience: Just got my AZ license yesterday thanks to my awesome trainer Arnie Mclean he is the man you need to learn from he is awesome at explaining and knows his stuff, due to this whole covid thing it’s been tuff getting scheduled but after speaking to Sylvie Chenier at head office she made things happen she did an awesome job getting me scheduled and set me up for my road test.

Fantastic experience: Bruce Agar is an amazing instructor at the Oro training pit. He has the perfect approach to getting you to be a fluent and confident operator. He always gives clear instructions on what has to be done and how to get it done, correctly and safely. Wish I could come back and do it again!!

Fantastic experience: I must say I'm not one for leaving reviews but found this time to be necessary. I've been graduated a couple months now and couldn't be happier with the level of knowledge and skills shown and taught to me during my time at the pit. Bruce Agar and Bruce alone is responsible for the capable and confident operator I've become, it is with my time there that he's guided me to understand the mechanics of being an operator and has taught me skills that had me outperform some seasoned operators and land me job I didn't think I had a chance at. If you want to really learn you couldn't be in better hands at the Hawkestone pit. More so I'm amazed at what Bruce has been able to accomplish with such little resources, I've visited some other facilities both within and external to this company and have to say I'm impressed at what he's been able to put together, quite frankly I'm surprised that this campus has been given such little support given its geographic placement and it being the closest of schools for guys more than 120 km away. Regardless if there is anyone to lead by example it's Bruce. Office staff was great, although AZ instructors were pretentious the few times I would have had to show face at the campus. Roberto.C

Fantastic experience: I was at the pit in Oro and my instructor Bruce was a absolute great guy. He really pushed his students to do better and be perfectionist. He definitely taught me the difference between being an operator and being a seat sitter

Fantastic experience: I would like to thank all the trainers ( Thom, Arnie and Paul ) and Robbyn in the office. You guys were all awesome!! Very knowledgeable, patient and professional. Everyone helped to build my confidence which allowed me to pass my AZ road test ( YES!!! ). Thanks Arnie, for taking your time out of a Saturday ( -30C ) to let me drive on the road test route!! That helped a ton! Thanks Thom for helping me relax ( take a deep Breathe ). Robbyn: awesome job in the office / scheduling and use of the Simulator. Thanks also to Dane for the online training! Fantastic experience: Robbyn at the front desk was awesome, got back to me in a timely manner with all my questions. Arnie is very knowledgeable and pushes you for the perfection, my test was a success because of how much they know and how much Arnie strives for perfection. Thanks guys!

Negative experience: Small unit with 1 simulator. The one thing I have to point out us that upon entering there were 5 people in the small front area all within 2 feet of each with absolutely no masks on not even hanging under their chin and one of them was receptionist. To me this school although it seems to have a good curriculum would be a covid petri dish for students. Cannot not recommend at this time. Trucks are older models so that should match what your gonna get in real world.

Fantastic experience: I took the DZ course with zero knowledge of trucks or air brakes. Arnie patiently explained each component of the Schedule 1 in a way that made me feel confident talking about it and inspecting it. I am so grateful for his level of knowledge and expertise and his willingness to go over things with me as many times as I wanted/needed. I walked confidently into my road test. Very encouraged by the support of the other trainers as well and Tracey who went above and beyond! What an amazing team! Thank you!

Fantastic experience: I wanted to give credit to my instructor Arnie in Barrie, this guy is the perfect instructor. Calm, organized informative and friendly. Drove with the trailer on today, and although I was just trying to keep from smashing things, he knew 10 moves ahead, and kept me relaxed and focused on moving that truck safely. He explains in great detail, and makes sure I get it. Lots of patience, and tolerance, always safe. Still have a couple weeks to go, but it feels great.

Fantastic experience: Arnie is a great teacher helping me get rid of all my bad driving habits, helping me upgrade to my AZ license . Tracey is amazing in the office keeping things organized and everyone happy .

Fantastic experience: My experience with Transport Training Centres of Canada Is VERY positive. They showed professionalism galore, when dealing with me and my issues during the pandemic. I had no issues with anything regarding my training, and I deeply appreciate the understanding and patience of Arnie Mclean, my driving instructor and administrator, Tracey Psaila.

Fantastic experience: Excellent from first contact. Campus Co-Ordinator, Tracey, was very welcoming, professional, knowledgeable and accommodating with scheduling. She went over and above by booking my road test for for me and was always available when I had questions. Thank you Tracey for all you do. In class was over Zoom, which we are all getting accustom to during the pandemic, went well with very few internet hiccups ( my service provider). The instructor was knowledgeable, friendly and kept the class flowing. For my practical training I had Arnie for an instructor. Super nice man, very knowledgeable, fair and professional. Arnie has a great sense of humour and kept training relaxed and fun, but professional, as it should be. He went over the different inspection components many times and is very encouraging throughout. A lot of information to remember in a short period of time, but Arnie has a great teaching style that works well for me. On the road Arnie is an awesome teacher with his driving experience and knowledge. Thanks Arnie for sharing your knowledge and for your patients during my many mistakes, you Sir are a rock star.

Fantastic experience: I would like to thank the staff at the Barrie campus for helping me to achieve my DZ license yesterday..a special thank you to Tracey and Arnie for being professional and accommodating me with any questions or concerns i may of had throughout my training course..i remember the first time climbing into the cab of the truck and going for my first drive,to say it was extremely intimidating is a huge understatement,but with Arnie's expertise and guidance he was able to keep me calm and relaxed behind the wheel and want to continue which of in itself speaks volumes..so thanks again bubba lol..literally within 2hrs of obtaining my license i got a job offer and have an interview for a position starting at $30/hr+ Full benefits..i can't thank transport training of canada enough for all their help and support and im looking forward to the next chapter of my life as it gets ready to shift into high gear..pardon the pun lol.

Fantastic experience: These folks are extremely knowledgeable, professional and most of all PATIENT. Thank you to all of you for going into great detail what we were training on and why we were training on it. I wouldn’t be able to peruse my new career without all of your help. Keep up the great work that all of you do. Highly recommend this facility for all of your training needs.

Negative experience: Filthy building, unorganized scheduling, virtual courses don't really transfer the information properly, and the trucks are constantly breaking-down or being replaced. Would not recommend.

Positive experience: Not one for doing reviews but really felt this one was necessary. I have never drove manual in my life till age 33 so being a little nervous Is an understatement. I started day one with Paul and finished day 20 with Paul and he made me very comfortable in the truck and I learned a ton from him in the 20 days. Just took my first attempt at the AZ road and passed first try. Thank you Paul for being so patient, as I said you made me very comfortable even when I was panicked Paul was cool as cucumber. THANK YOU TO PAUL AND EVERYONE AT TTCC YOU ROCK.
