Fantastic experience: One of the hardest things I've ever had to do was get the class 1. From in class doing MELT with Vince and Terry who treated you with respect patience answering every question. CcA uses multiple instructors per student so you see multiple levels of experience and possible different ways to do things ,which I saw as a great assest in the end. Special shout out to BC Mike who is by far one of the calmest humans I've ever come across. An amazing instructor from first till last day. Darren who was new his personability really put me at ease as well as his use of different markers during procedures were very helpful. Vince and Terry who have SO MUCH experience so kind intelligent and educated I aspire to be the drivers you are. To Andrew who was amazing and Steve who gave me that last 1% of confidence I needed to pass the test. The gals in the office were amazing humans as was Don the owner, the staff at CCA truely treat you as one of the family and your success is there success. There will never be another school I could recommend more than the folks here, truely life changing people.

Fantastic experience: Got driving training back in 2015. Some instructors had over 40 years of driving and instructor experience. Special thanks for my PDIC trainer he was master of his subject. Fantastic experience: An excellent experience, The instructors were knowable and helpful. The price for Automatic was very reasonable and if I want to go learn to drive manual, it costs more but the pressure is off to do your test with the examiner if you learn after the fact.

Fantastic experience: This week, I just passed my class 3 road test. This company was the best. Vince & Terry was my in class teacher's, they treated you with respect and were very patient when you didn't know something. I had Andrew twice for the truck lesson, and he was calm and relaxing to drive with. And I had Doug twice. Doug for the first lesson was like a drill, Sargent. He basically told you what you did wrong and was a little impatient when you didn't know. But the next time I had him, I was able to understand how everything worked! So, his abrupt way of teaching you works. Don, the owner, was very calming when I was about to have my road test. And the ladies in the front were always friendly and helpful. I'm very grateful for all your help and support and awesome work everyone did.

Fantastic experience: While I, personally, did not attend here, my son did. Excellent school for trucking. One on one driving instruction. Thorough, detailed, and professional. My son had a sudden shift in accommodations in Calgary resulting in an absence and the school did everything in their power to accommodate his availability. Couldn’t have asked for a better experience.

Instructors work with the level you're at and build a plan around you not just a bare minimum to pass the test. Fantastic experience: Got my class 3 and air brakes done through CCA. I was very impressed with this school - all 4 of the instructors I had during my driver training were knowledgeable and gave you different ways to approach each piece of the class 3 road test puzzle. I was able to take things from each instructor and come up with my own 'system' when it comes to the pre-trip inspection flow. I would recommend CCA to anyone looking to upgrade their license; I had no experience with a larger vehicle coming in to this, and by my 3rd driving lesson I was very comfortable and confident with operating the vehicle safely.

Fantastic experience: Completed my MELT and received my Class 1 through CCA Truck Driver Training. Had an amazing experience from start to finish. It took me a few tries before I passed the test but that was due to my own mistakes. The trainers were all experienced and very knowledgeable. Special shout out to Vince, Brian and Don, they were my favorites, Vince is a legend and treated me like family, Brian was hilarious and very knowledgeable and Don was very patient and took time out of his lunch to help me out with extra lessons. The ladies up front, Megan & Kayla, were also exceptional, they work hard and did everything they could to accommodate my requests. Would highly recommend CCA

Positive experience: I got my class 3 and air brake with CCA. The staff is very friendly and efficient. One of the instructors was quite impatient and a bit harsh, implying that I wasn't putting in enough effort, which wasn't fair as I spent every night studying after work. That said, the rest of them were all very professional and provided me with useful and practical guidance. A big shoutout to the instructors - Dave, Terry, and the owner Emmet! Anyway, my experience was positive in general. I wish I could have had a designated instructor instead of having different instructors for each lesson.

Fantastic experience: I've felt CCA deserved a good review from me since I completed my airbrakes and Class 1 MELT, however life has been busy since then and this has turned into a 1 year review. I've been working in a very challenging part of trucking in the oilfield services sector and as I face complex problems in adverse conditions every day I'm reminded of how grateful I am for CCA giving me the tools to overcome each and every one of those problems. Terry, Vince, George, Doug, Steve, and Al were all my instructors through the process and they became friends through the process. They provided the highest level of training with their many many years of trucking experience, and taught me little tricks and that have quite possibly saved my life on multiple occasions. The trucks used for training are all Kenworth in very good condition, and with a variety of engine configurations over several model years, so rest assured you'll be familiar with driving older equipment just as you will be driving brand new equipment. This has helped a lot with being able to hop into any truck now and use a solid process to familiarize myself with it. Overall, nowhere else I would have rather been trained. If I had any advice for new trainees, it would be to stay humble. These guys all have a staggering amount of knowledge, use your time with them wisely and listen, because it may save your life or someone else's some day.

Negative experience: Terrible instructor with a poor attitude! I was in my second lesson, but he expected me to know everything and grumbled about the mistakes I made. I'm not a car enthusiast and have only been driving for less than a year in Canada, but he spoke as if I should have known which parts are which. I studied the given guidelines diligently, but he acted like I hadn't worked on them. If you're getting your license with CCA, make sure you are assigned a better tutor.

Fantastic experience: I took the minimum hours option for the class 3 (plus airbrakes) as I am a confident driver and didn't think I needed more. My instructor made sure I knew how to handle the truck and pass the pre trip inspection. They scheduled everything nicely and were very helpful in the office. Passed all the tests written and practical on first try so they did their job well as I put in the work on my end as well.

Fantastic experience: My company wanted me to get my air brakes endorsement at CCA. I was pleased with Vince as our classroom instructor. He clearly explained everything and was obviously very knowledgeable. Then Dave for the field instruction and test, extremely knowledgeable, professional and thorough. If I ever want to get my class 1 license there is only 1 place to go. And with their excellent tutelage I passed the registry test on the first attempt. Thank you CCA.

Fantastic experience: I just finished my Class 3 and Air Brake with CCA and couldn’t recommend them enough to anyone looking to upgrade their license! They were very accommodating to my schedule as I had to rebook my in truck training and road test multiple times and they did so without any hassle. The instructors are knowledgeable and professional. Honourable mentions goes out to Vince! I had him for my first in truck training(as well as my third)and despite it being -30 outside, we spent 1.5 hours outside drilling in the under hood and pre trip inspections. Once in the truck, he made me feel very comfortable my first time on the road. There was a bit of a bump on my first road test and they handled the situation very professionally and ensured I’d be good to go for my next road test. Go to CCA! You won’t regret it.

Negative experience: when your company send you for driving evaluation, the instructor didn't tell you exactly what is wrong with your driving at the end but he said you did well . next day you find failed report sent to your company. I think these poeple is not trustfully either to get a good training to get your license or for driving evaluation so they are unfair need you to pay for extra hours

Negative experience: Was told by an instructor when I took the training that driving a rig like that may not be for me as I dont have rhythm (for shifting). That was my second time in a truck. Makes me laugh looking back.. I can shift any truck now and have taught countless people at my work over the years how to do so. Their instructor was not only wrong but negative and not encouraging. They have nice trucks. That's my only positive with this place. Otherwise, in my opinion, the area sucks for new (nervous) drivers to learn the skills. Way too congested.

Fantastic experience: I just finished the class 1 melt program and i had a fantastic experiance with CCA and all the instructors. The instructors and the owner are very nice and knowledgeable, only a select few think that they yell but they DON'T, they want to make sure that you can hear them over the noise of the trucks. They do an awesome job making sure that you get what they are teaching you because they really do care that u get everything that you can to pass the exam. I would highly recommend CCA to everyone interested in truck driving school. New update on my experience with CCA, after only a month since my course completion i passed my driving exam, a HUGE shout out to all the staff at CCA especially the owner. Negative experience: Bad place to waste your money and time... I would never recommend this place. Few instructors are ok. Rest are crazy.. use all f word.. yell on you. Front desk and owner..they are icing on the cake.....and if you are immigrant... Good luck...... you will get the best treatment you can ever imagine ... Fantastic experience: Taking the advanced course at CCA provided me a professional, real world learning experience. The structure of the courses and driving time are well thought out. Having a number of different instructors all of whom provided valuable insights, knowledge and attitude, created a very deep well of real world wisdom for me to draw on. As a green horn to trucking, Their instruction was invaluable to my gaining personal confidence and giving me enough street cred to get a job. A lot of their instruction still echoes in my head as I drive each day.

Fantastic experience: I took my air brake course here 11 years ago and also sat through it for a refresher 2 weeks ago. Recently just upgraded to my class 1. The training is second to none. The instructors make you feel very comfortable and relaxed and get right down to business and teach you everything you need to know. They offer real life advice on what to expect on the open road. The only place I would recommend to future drivers.

Fantastic experience: I can not recommend these guys enough, no messing around and a top class service. Was speaking with Don a few months before coming to see him and was able to do everything he promised, in record time as I was short with time.

Fantastic experience: I got my class 1 in 2011 at CCA and now I'm driving some of the biggest stuff on the roads. My licence is the most valuable thing I have. My last company laid everyone off and before I got home I had three job interviews because I have a class 1 from CCA. If you're thinking about it it's worth it. You will never be unemployed. Top notch training. Lots of hands on and class time. Great instructors. Cost of the course has literally paid for itself thousands of times over. *Edit If you see a bad review on here it was probably a failed student. This isn't a rubber stamp course. It's real training. Some people just can't drive big equipment.

Trucks were always clean and in good condition. Instructors were proffesional but also down-to earth and did their very best to help me succeed.

Fantastic experience: The entire staff at CCA were amazing. Recently did the air brake course and class 1 training here and the knowledge of the instructors was second to none. When I went in I had very minimal knowledge of air brake systems or how to drive a truck and what they taught me in the short time I was there earned me my class 1 on my first attempt. After successful completion of my class 1 road test I had a talk with a couple of the managers about finding companies that hire drivers with little experience and they gave me all the information they had of companies that they knew hired entry level drivers. As I sit here now I can say I have found a driving position and am able to start my knew career as a professional driver and it's all thanks to the staff at CCA. Everything they do is to teach people how to become the best professinal drivers they can be and help the industry employ better and safer drivers.I would or rather will be recommending everyone I meet who wants to get into the industry or is looking to improve their skills to go to CCA.

Negative experience: One of the worst school in Calgary. Before coming to this school my friends told me that this is the best school. Instructors do not know how to talk and they always yell to students. This is a school where teachers to be polite. This review only give one star but I give them -10. AND I STRONGLY RECOMMEND THAT DO NOT GO TO THIS SCHOLL AND WASTE YOUR MONEY.
