Fantastic experience: Great Instructor Mr Liem! Very detail and clear, passed on my first try!

Fantastic experience: If I would have to recommend someone as an instructor, I would pass them Liam’s phone number. He was so patient and knowledgeable. The way he was teaching makes me want to go on his lessons again! There was no pressure, he even had car miniatures for easier understanding of the maneuvers. So accurate in indicating your mistakes that you don’t notice, but cheering you up every time on your improvements. He knew exactly what I would be asked and what areas to go through for the exam. I really liked that he was giving me freedom to do mistakes, which helped me to learn and remember so much faster. If you want to enjoy time learning and pass your test from the first time, Liam is the best. Definitely would be back for the 5 class road test. Thank you Liam!!❤️

Fantastic experience: passed on first try !! practiced a few times in the beginning of september 2023 with Mr/thay liem; instructed me and taught me the basis ( lane changing, uphill/downhill parking, shoulder checks drills, proper steering). It was very helpful to strengthen my driving skills. i recently started seeing Co Kim for the past few days to brush up a few skills to prepare for my N road test, she was super friendly, gave reminders, and had good conversations with her. both instructors were very patient with me. big thank you to co kim and thấy liem, im so grateful.❤️

Fantastic experience: I took the road test for my N and got it on my very first try! I never had any driving experience before, but Kim was very patient with me and taught me how to drive with lots of good tips and trick. She’s very knowledgeable as well, and always answers my questions and concerns about the road when I am unsure. Also, parking has always been difficult for me, but I was able to do it all first try during my road test because I was confident with the skills and methods I learned with Kim :) Thank you very much! :)

Fantastic experience: I took lessons with Mrs. Kim Chi to brush up on my driving before taking the Class 5 road test. I passed it on first try! The instructor is really friendly, patient and gives helpful cues and tips on how to do your shoulder/mirror/360 checks, parking, car handling, etc. I got the 10 hours package. It was worth it.

Fantastic experience: I took lessons from Mr. Liem and had a pleasant experience. He’s very upbeat and super informative when teaching. He makes sure to drill shoulder checks into your head and gives you criticism after every lesson via the road knowledge book. I passed my Class 7 road test with him so I recommend using this school!

I strongly recommend Vina driving school! -- Update After 3 years I decided to upgrade my N license and take the class 5 road test . Fantastic experience: After failing my class 7 road test twice, I decided to get driving lessons before my third try. After only 2 weeks of lessons with Mrs. Chi, I passed my test with ease. She was friendly and patient and helped me gain confidence in my skills. For things like parallel parking and reversing into stalls, she has the best tactics that are so much easier to learn than the way most people teach them. I'll be back in 2 years to hire her again to help me get my class 5!

Fantastic experience: I'm a new comer and it's been challenging for me to acquire Class5 license, given the Covid worsening situation since Mar20. Mr. Liem has done his best to teach me not only how to pass road test, but also how to brush up defensive driving technique. He prioritises students with road tests to make sure that his students might get the best outcome in the test date. I was very thankful that he tried to re-schedule his classes to accompany me despite it's a last minute call (you guys might have experienced it in the period of Aug-Oct20, when we keep switching test date to get the earliest exam date possible when ICBC re-opened their testing centres to the whole public). Last but not least, it's good to sign up for a 10-hr package with him as the rate was budget-friendly (it's one of the lowest so far in Vancouver-Surrey area).

Fantastic experience: I passed my road test for class 7 in my first attempt thanks to instructor Liem Tri. He is an amazing person who is patient to teach you what is needed to pass the test. I took about 16 hours with him and I am happy that I did because everything the examiner asked me during the test was instructed by Liem Tri beforehand so I was very well-prepared. Really recommend Liem Tri to be your driving instructor and good luck on your future road test.

Fantastic experience: I had a road test booked for months and then my dad’s car broke down the day before the test. I gave Mr. Liem a call saying I had a road test booked for the next morning at 8:30am - not only did he accommodate for me by giving me a lesson at 7:30am which is an hour earlier than he normally starts, but he gave me extremely useful advice and was very friendly and helpful, all on extremely short notice. I passed my road test all thanks to him. Very good driving instructor and I will be recommending it to all my siblings and anyone who asks for suggestions.

Mr. Tri taught me every rules that I didn't know when me and my parents were practicing on the road to drive around but Mr. Tri helped me get to know every rules about driving in this country like safety about driving. My parents don't know any rules about driving in this country but Mr. Tri helped me to know every rules and road tests. But I failed my first try of class 7 road test when i accidentally messed up the rules. Fantastic experience: As the other reviewers have pointed out, Vina Driving School is a very good choice if you're looking for a driving instructor! I get extremely nervous when being tested so I failed the Class 7 road test quite a few times with stupid mistakes I would never normally make, both with and without instructor help (in the process paying quite a bit of money to ICBC for repeat tests and to other more expensive instructors). I passed easily when I did the road test with Vina's Liem Tri, due to his quality driving instruction, knowledge of the course and the easy-to-drive instructor car. He is very helpful and always goes above and beyond for you. Unlike some instructors you can tell he really wants you to succeed. Review ended, the rest is supplementary information / further detail: Earlier this year I decided that I would buckle down and control all the factors that led to my previous failures and so contacted Leim Tri who was the best instructor I had used for my previous attempts in 2016. We had done a series of lessons back then and I used his vehicle for 2 road tests; one at Surrey Newton ICBC (avoid if you can, it is a bad experience, check the Google reviews or ask anyone who has done a road test there) and one at Langley ICBC that I made a single DA mistake on. This time I again took a couple of lessons with Liem Tri and used his vehicle for the road test in Langley. Despite not always being clear and easy to understand he is very patient, very friendly and teaches well, providing not only the competence but also the confidence to perform well and consistently during the test. In addition, the new vehicle (the earlier lessons in 2016 were done with the older vehicle) is marvelous to drive as can be expected from a recent Toyota corolla.
