Fantastic experience: Super Thanks Sandeep!!! I passed my road test today!!! Sandeep is a fantastic instructor: she is soo nice, calm, and patient. I had a really bad experience with the road test I had in the past, that made me lose my confidence and made me think I failed myself, until I met Sandeep. She helped me build back my self confidence again: she made everything look easier, by putting everything in more detail and correcting my mistakes that I made on the way. I would SUPERBLY recommend Good Start Driving School to anyone!

Fantastic experience: Sandeep is wonderful! She explains what to do simply and calmly, and has a bunch of handy tricks for parking and getting more comfortable with the road. I passed my N test on the first try after less than a month of learning and practice (only 6 lessons), so I am really happy I chose this school.

Negative experience: If you guys think about renting a car from this driving school, then DON'T. When I learned about the vehicle, I assumed was a new Toyota Prius sedan because most of the driving school provide new cars for classes or test. However, it was a 2013 (or similar) Toyota Prius C. It is a compact car where the jerking is random, the brake pedal is weird, and the worst part is the speedometer in the vehicle. It is a digital speedometer that is shown in the center of the dashboard. Although I knew that Prius had the speedometer there but, trust me, it was very inconvenient. Furthermore, Sandeep is a decent instructor. Many of you might have read other reviews that she is strict and patient. Well, that is true, and maybe some people love that way of learning, but personally, I did not like it. There were some unnecessary rules I had to follow, and since the car is a hatchback, the parallel parking is also different. I have 5 years of driving experience back in Doha, Qatar, and the driving rules are 60% similar to Canadian road rules, which means I have a good idea about the road. I felt demotivated after the class and became nervous during my Class 5 road test, which I failed. I paid a $160 package for a 1-hour class + road test, and if you guys want my opinion, renting that car is not even worth $120. Finally, I passed my driving test with zero mistakes around three weeks back, and I took my test at Abbotsford ICBC Centre. What I want to address all of you is to learn or give your exam in a vehicle that is comfortable to drive. In my case, it was a Toyota Corolla that I practiced and passed my class 5 driving test in Abbotsford. Another thing is to choose those instructors who can motivate you to pass the driving test. I did not like the method of Sandeep's teaching because of her strictness and following unnecessary rules. I asked these questions to my driving instructor in Abbotsford, and he said that these things are not required to perform. I am assuming that this depends from city to city I guess.

Sandeep was healing and soothing with how she taught me. She was so consistently patient and understanding that my confidence came back better than it had ever been after driving with her. Fantastic experience: Sandeep is the best! I haven't had a driving lesson in 14 yrs and at 47 years old it was time to finally get my full class 5 lisence- I just kept putting it off. Her presence is very chill and relaxed, and she's very personable and knowledgeable. I bought one lesson a week before my class 5 exam, then the one lesson and car usage for my actual driving test. We worked on what I felt I needed practice, she got me familiar with the routes and she noticed areas where I needed to be mindful during the driver's exam and also pointed out any bad habits I'd formed. . I passed no problem . I highly recommend Sandeep to anyone and everyone. My son has just turned 16 and I'll definitely have Good Start driving school be the school to get my son familiar with driving a car and the rules of the road. Thanks again Sandeep! Negative experience: Horrible experience with this driving school. I took quite a few lessons here and wasn't learning anything. I never got to practice parking or anything more advanced than driving in a straight line or turning right, plus the instructors all took phone calls while I was driving. I felt like I was just paying to borrow the car instead of paying for a teacher. Now I have a new driving instructor at a different school and the difference is insane. Complete waste of time.

Negative experience: She might know the rules, but she’s a bad teacher. She was way too rude with me, just because I requested to take a lesson in my own car. Whatever she taught can be taught by a regular person (who drives regularly) as well. Wasted my time and money.

Fantastic experience: I had planned on doing 10 lessons before my upcoming class 7 test, we were only able to get in 7 but Sandeep was a wonderful teacher and was able to get me ready for the test and i passed on the first try.

Fantastic experience: Sandeep is a wonderful driving instructor! I took lessons with her to prep for my exam at the ICBC location in Maple Ridge. When I came to Sandeep, I had driving anxiety and had never driven in Maple Ridge, but that location was the only option for my exam. Sandeep was friendly and made it easy to book. She patiently and effectively guided me through the roads of Maple Ridge and gave me great insight into what the driving exam would look like, as I had never tested before. I also booked and used her car for the exam and she gave me a lesson that morning and a great pep talk to settle my nerves right before my driving exam. Thanks to her help, I passed on my first try in August and got my N. These last few months since getting my N, I’ve been driving confidently. I really recommend her services, especially if your exam is booked in Maple Ridge, as the roads can be tricky compared to other locations. EDIT: Also her parking tips are fantastic! I had multiple friends, family, and another professional instructor try to teach me reverse stall parking and parallel parking, but it was Sandeep's tricks that stuck!

Negative experience: when I did have lessons and I got KULJEET he is pretty good but i had such a frustrating experience. i prepaid for 10 lesson and have had such a hard time getting them with weeks apart between lessons and being ignored when I try to book them. There were multiple times I got a no show from Sandeep or a last minute cancellation. I have been trying to get my last of the 10 I have paid for for weeks now and have been ignored. Also I haven’t been able to learn because when there is weeks between a lesson you don’t remember what your learned and for the first few I had a different instructor each time and never knew who I would get that was also frustrating

Fantastic experience: Yay, I passed my class 5 road test! Thanks to Sandeep & Co-instructors teaching methods, techniques and essential tips helped me in clearing the road test on the first attempt. Initially it wasn't easy for me as I been driving from all these years with right-hand drive. Later, once I perfected the basics and learned the right way(rules) of driving on the roads of Canada, it was just a matter of few more lessons and practice that made me confident to get ready for the road test. It's important to learn from your mistakes while driving and keep practising it unless you are confident, also at the same time don't be over-confident, it takes time to perfect, so it's pretty okay. #BeAlert#DriveSafe.
