Fantastic experience: Highly Recommend Cypress Driving School. They accommodated a lesson for myself and my husband at short notice, after we both failed our road test the first time. We had an hour lesson each with Anu. She was very professional and friendly, pointing out all the areas we needed to be aware of for the test! We had both been driving for over 15 years in our previous country, so this lesson was much needed to be aware of how ICBC test, which made us feel confident for the 2nd attempt! Thankfully, both my husband and I passed our road test on the 2nd attempt in Nanaimo. Very Grateful for Anu’s guidance and support.

Fantastic experience: Thanks Cypress Drving School! I took the package of one hour training and the use of the car for the road test. Anu was my instructor, she explained me the good practices the examiners look for and told me how to face the road test. On top of that, I had the chance to drive a route that was similar to the actual one for the test. Everything went well since I was very well prepared and pass the test the first attempt. Fantastic experience: I can only say all the best things to my instructor, Anu. I was a level zero in driving when I started, but she was able to help me build up my skills overtime. She started with spoon feeding me with knowledge, then once she saw my skills were developing, she will let me think and use my common sense. She gave me the strategies in passing the road test, then once I mastered it, she trained me to become the best driver. She’s like a Mother in giving me confidence, and a Teacher challenging you to understand all the rules. During my road test, it’s a good feeling that someone is beside me checking in at ICBC, then welcoming me back afterwards.

Fantastic experience: Extremly satisfied!!! Highly recommend. I chose the "Road test refresher" package as I've been driving for years but not daily in last two years, since I moved to Canada. Although, I consider myself skilled and experienced driver, without the lesson, I most probably wouldn't pass. With detailed and strict supervising of the teacher "Annu", I felt immediately ready and confident for my road test with instructor, which happened directly afterwards. She explained to me all the tricky crossroads and places I should focus on and possible routs. And the result: no mistakes and satisfied instructor. The comunication was easy and simple. They also booked for me the road test date. Basically all I did was giving them a phone call, gave them previous knowledge test info and the very next day I had the road test exam as I got lucky with the date and availability. In my opinion - money well spent and like I mentioned earlier I highly recommend. The reason I chose them is recommendation from my friend (he did his DL three years ago with them - also very satisfied) and the North Vancouver location. Good luck with your road test :)! Petr

Fantastic experience: I’ve been driving with my son for a few months, and he wanted to try and take the test for his N. We booked one class with Anu and he just missed passing. Not bad for only driving for a couple of months. We rebooked to take the test two weeks later, and wisely rebooked a final class with Anu on the day of the test - he Passed with flying colours! Anu made sure to go over the parking concerns, got him comfortable with driving to speed (which was one of the reasons he failed the first time round), and just made sure he was doing everything he needed to be doing to pass his test. I think I did pretty good as a mom teaching him, but if it wasn’t for Anu, he wouldn’t have passed the drivers test. One happy young man! Anu, You are the most lovely, patient, involved, knowledgeable Driver Instructor I’ve ever met! Not to mention patient with anxious mothers too! Thank you so much!

Fantastic experience: Highly recommend driving lessons with Anu, such a patient and knowledgeable instructor who gave me great tips and confidence for the exam. I took one 1,5h session to prep for the class 5 road test and this was enough to try common exam routes in North Vancouver, including tricky intersections, etc, and get advice on small things I need to fix/pay attention to. Fantastic experience: I can't express how pleased I am with the driving lessons I received from Anu. I had failed my N twice prior to switching over to her from a different driving instructor. After the first few lessons, I already felt so much more confident, and I passed my N with her guidance. I took two lessons before my Class 5 with barely any experience on the highway and passed on my first try. She is very patient and knowledgeable, and gives great constructive feedback to improve. Fantastic experience: I had an incredible experience with Anu! Although I had taken my N test a few years ago, I hadn't driven in a while. Anu made me feel so comfortable getting back behind the wheel and helped me deal with my driving anxiety enormously. She is so thoughtful and attentive, as she quickly noticed areas that I needed to practice and ensured that we focused on them throughout all of our lessons together. She’s experienced giving advices for drivers coming from other countries, so as a Brazilian, she made sure I was understanding the reason of every sign, road checks and rules, and how they differ from my driving style from my home country She’s very respectful and was very helpful: when noticed I was struggling to do left turns, made sure to repeat this type of crossing with me, always explaining what was happening in my surroundings. Now I not only have my drivers license but feel confident of driving inside and outside the city.

Fantastic experience: I managed to get an appointment for my class 5 road test at North Vancouver… with 2 days’ notice. Although I’ve been driving for years, I’d already failed my test once, and confidence was at an all time low. Anu went out of her way to accommodate me with very little notice - I did a 90 min lesson, followed by a 60 min lesson. I passed my test with only one fault! Anu was patient but firm, clear about the rules of the road, helped me prepare in terms of what to expect from the examiner… and even taught me a new (easier!) way to reverse park! I would recommend her any day!

Fantastic experience: After failing on my road test twice, I got Cypress Driving School's phone from a friend and Anu came highly recommended. After two lessons with her, I could see why: not only she was very knowledgeable and great in teaching, she also boosted my confidence on my own skills. My girlfriend said as much after my first lesson with Anu, how I was way more confident in myself than I was with the previous teacher (which isn't a bad one at all, just his teaching style wasn't compatible with my learning process). That was all it took for me to pass my road test this week. Fantastic experience: I have no words to thank you Anu. I’ve been driving in São Paulo, Brazil my hometown since 1999 with similar Class 5 License. Then I’ve moved to BC, and failed 3 times on the road test. After failing for the second time I decided to take classes. I had a bunch of it with other companies and their instructors just put me down that resulted in my third road test failed. I got so frustrated. Then some friends referred Anu to me. I had a couple classes with her and she helped me to fix my issues according to BC Transit Law. Also, she was very supportive giving me good feedbacks about my driving skills. It increased my confidence then I took the road test again. In that day I got my Class 5 with error free on my report. Thank you Anu!

Fantastic experience: Mrs. Anu is very experienced in driving lessons and preparing you for exams. She knows what the examiners are looking at, she knows the streets and areas the examiners bring you to, she's basically every day at ICBC. She has a kind tone, she doesn't yell, you won't be nervous with her, she talks a lot, gives a lot of advice all the time, every turn or every part of the road, she'll remind you all the small details that you forgot. The car is good, it's an normal size sedan. The price is good too. Responsiveness is good, always ready for an appointment or exam schedule usually within a few days or a week.
