Fantastic experience: Jot was my instructor and he was very knowledgeable, patient, and respectful. He always made sure I was comfortable and never pressured me to do more than I was comfortable. Jot, Harry, and Jas all amazing people and even more amazing instructors.
Fantastic experience: If u want to learn everything properly then these are ur guys…Jaz breaks down the whole program for u and sets your dates while Amen will do his magic with exceptional shifting skills and techniques ull build all your skills before your road test, so me personally walking in to do my road test i was 100% confident …and passed …all n all amazing school and amazing instructors .
Fantastic experience: I would recommend Big Rig Driving School to anyone who is wishing to upgrade to a Class 3 or Class 1 License. Not only did they get back to me very quickly but Jaz was very accommodating with my work schedule. 4 lessons was all it took for me to pass my Class 3 Automatic with Air Brake Endorsement on the first attempt. Fantastic experience: Had an amazing time learning to drive with big rig driving school. I definitely had some bad habits from my previous driving experience that the guys at big rig helped me get rid of. If u wanna learn how to drive truck this is the place to go the guys are nice and easy to communicate with. The techniques are explained in great detail in multiple ways to ensure an easy learning experience.

Their instructor are absolutely professional, very patient ,good motivator and highly knowledgeable. Fantastic experience: Passed my class 1 test in Surrey on manual transmission in first attempt! Everyone in Big Rig team are professionals and care about your success. Jot was my driving instructor. He was knowledgeable, patient and punctual. We trained mostly in the mornings and he came 15 minutes early everyday to ensure truck was ready to go when I arrived for the lesson. He even went as far as going outside the truck on the road to explain proper maneuver for the turns few days before the test! Jaz was also very helpful and knowledgeable. Apart from driving and pre trip lessons, he ensured the fleet was in excellent condition. He got the truck tires and glad hands replaced before test to ensure I didn’t face any problems during the road test. I also learned a lot from Harry during theory classes where he shared his industry experience and tips. He was always available for any help needed. Would highly recommend this school. They definitely “Do it Right”!

Fantastic experience: Did my driving instructions and passed on first trial. Jot, Jas, Lorrie, and Harry did their best in teaching and I appreciate that. However, I will suggest that students taking automatic or manual tests should always carry out the in yard pretrips with the appropriate truck. So every foreseeable problem will be noticed and fixed before test day.

Harry Jot and Jaz will definitely put the time in for you to be a successful class 1 professional driver. They’re very understanding and treat you like family they don’t treat you like students. They thrive to have you pass on first try and they are amazing at fixing what you having trouble with on driving or anything driving related. They have a lot of experience you can tell by how they teach you and from their reviews. They have been in the industry for 10-15+ years. Anyone who wants to get class 1 get it done through Big Rig Driving School. Jot was new to instructing and I was his first student and I couldnt have asked for a better instructor he is a very humble guy with good heart just like the rest of his team! Definitely got a life long bond from this 3 months we spent together and all the hours we were together we became more than just students or instructors to each other! Fantastic experience: Here's an unpaid and unbiased review. Affordability ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ This is one of the best schools to attend especially if you are paying out of pocket, the price I paid was $10,500 and for the amount of time I got in the truck was great. Instructor Quality ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Lorrie is great at teaching shifting and double Clutching, aswell as mountain driving. Harry is knowledgeable with all the regulations, hours of service and pre trips. JAZ is great at teaching how to properly do right turns aswell as setting them up. Scheduling ⭐️⭐️⭐️ Most of the time it was easy to reach out to book an appointment, but at times, it would go to voice mail, or the instructor was late/needed to reschedule. This would be communicated. Driving curriculum ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ At times the straight portions were long, but over all there were many hours of practicing turns and shifting. The main thing that needs more time is backing. Specially if you've never backed a trailer before. Road Test Booking ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Test day will be a breeze, the truck will be exactly the same one you've practiced during the course. It will be well maintained and all set up, for a successful road test. Recommendation: This school is a top choice for people looking to get into trucking specially because the school offers a second retest free of charge. - Enrolled December 2022 - Completed MELT May 2023 - Failed First Attempt (automatic May 2023) - Passed Second Attempt ( Manual Aug 8 2023)

Fantastic experience: I failed the icbc 2 times, and passed on the 3rd attempt, Jaz was the instructor that helped me brush up on the few things I was missing. Harry is the owner. Positive experience: Not sure what kind of driving instructors will let their students force their way on tight situations. Earlier today one of their trucks would've hit my vehicle if i didn't move forward. The driver did not even slow down as if he was 100% sure that he would make it. I honked my horn and waved my hand when I passed them (they were changing to a left turn lane and i was going straight) and both the instructor and student just had a massive smirk on their faces. They expect to be considered as professionals on the roads with this kind of attitude? *Reply to the reply below Thank you for the reply. Yes, I agree that the driver was completing his left turn slowly and it was a good thing that he was changing lane slowly as that gave me enough time to move my truck as close as I could to the vehicle in front of me. Before me moving forward the tractor truck was only about 2"-3" away from my side mirror when your truck was right beside mine so just imagine how close your trailer was to my vehicle specially with it driving straight at that point on the left turn lane since there is no more room for your vehicle to move over towards the barrier on your left. I am in no way an expert on driving and driving a big rig but I have my experience with pulling trailers so I know that if I did not move forward as much as I could there would be contact between our vehicles and who knows how much the damage that would have been. I am pretty sure that if I did not react to how your driver was driving neither of you would have been smirking the way you both were. Yes I agree how I acted after passing you was impolite but I believe that it was warranted given the situation, a student driver being too aggressive and a instructor that did not correct his student while this was happening. Should I have just waved and smiled given how easily this whole situation would have been avoided if your driver was more patient? If I did not honk and waved my hand you and the driver would probably only treat it as another day on the road and continue on until the same situation happens and a less attentive driver unfortunately gets hit. I did it not out of rage but to let you know how bad the situation was, given how the both of you reacted you had no clue how much of a close call it was. If this is how he drives while he is a student I can only imagine how much more aggressive he would be when he is fully licensed specially if his habits are not corrected early in his career. This city already has more than it's share of bad, impatient, and careless drivers. The last thing I want is to share the road with one of those drivers in a much more bigger vehicle that would not even feel it if it side swipes a commuter vehicle beside it while having a big smile on their face as if they did not do anything wrong.
Hi Fred, Thank you for your concern and for taking the time to share your views. I was in the instructor seat on 88th Ave - 128 St my apologies if you felt leery. You were in the middle lane and we were coming behind you to take the left lane the space was a bit tight but there was room on both sides and our truck was slow. Despite that, after completing the turn the student was pulled over and was counselled for going through even that situation. I have been on Big Rig every single day for my last 17 years having an absolutely clean record yet I cannot claim to know everything, I am still learning every day. However, in my humble opinion, your reaction when you were passing us with honks and hands out of the window was very impolite. This kind of road rage is not acceptable in society and it gives a very bad mark on the next generation. Road rage can cause accidents and mistakes as we lose attention when under high levels of stress. Thanks

Fantastic experience: My wife went though the trainning with Big Rig and got her licence on her first road test , her inztructors were Harry and Lorrie , i must say they are the best intructors and Big Rig is a place to come to for class 1 . My wife attended 2 driving schools , 3 road tests before Big Rig , the experiences was teribble . I myself have been driving for years and i dont see any improvement until Big Rig . Negative experience: This is froud driving school in surrey donot join that driving school because he take full money and after donot give a road test so dear avoid that school for save money

He runs one of the most excellent Class One driving school in the entire lower mainland, within affordable budget and with flexible scheduled programme with your own convenience. The Instructor (Harry) himself is very cool headed, erudite, cultured, cultivated and with a vast knowledge and his skills are the essence of accomplishment in getting the licence Class One in most likely in the very first attempt. Negative experience: Worst driving school. Collected all the money in advance. And I couldn't take the test due to family emergency and now not booking road test and no money refund. Would love to rate 0star

They made it an awesome and engaging experience and prepared me very well. They took time to teach me everything and addressed any concerns I had. They are mindful and passionate in what they do. They really made me feel confident in myself and my skills. This confidence transitioned into my driving test that I passed with flying colors.
