Fantastic experience: lessons from this driving school led me to pass my driving test first try feeling properly prepared and comfortable on the road.

Positive experience: I give it 3 stars because I felt it wasn't consistent with the lessons for example Raj would show me one way of driving and Bal would show me a different way and it was confusing as a first-time driver in a new country. My other reason for giving a 3-star rating is because they would say my lesson is at 1 pm and would last-minute change it that's a convenient time for them so I have to check my schedule and make time free for that and when they do the lesson, especially my last session they will finish it 10 minutes early but I had to still pay for the full amount for that session which I found very unfair. Thank you, Bal and Raj. In the end, I passed my road test.

Fantastic experience: I have had 2 kids receive lessons with Raj and both passed their road tests on their first tries. Raj is extremely knowledgeable, he’s patient and takes the time to correct and give explanation for the instruction. My boys really enjoyed his calm demeanor and how honest he is. Raj is very vested in the safety and success of the kids… we would recommend him to everyone learning to drive!!

Fantastic experience: It was great experience with Mr Ral he really gave me confidence in driving. It was my first driving in my life and he assured me to pass on my first test and I really did. He always gives you more than you need. If you need less lessons and great driving than this is where you should go with great deal not expensive. Just give it a try and you’ll thank later. Fantastic experience: Amazing driving school. They helped me feel confident in my driving skills. Bal was my instructor and taught me straight from scratch. Raj took me on the day of my test and really helped calm my nervousness. Both of them gave me very honest feedback. I have taken driving lessons with other schools and Midtown is definitely number one. 100% recommend.

Fantastic experience: I passed Class 7 in first go! I never drove a car before and was quite nervous. However Raj showed a lots of confidence in me and encouraged me to give my 200% to learning. I gained a lots of confidence thanks to his knowledge. He explained the things with lots of patience and understanding. He also gave me practical tips that helped me during my road test.

Fantastic experience: Best service for class 4

Negative experience: I took 6 lessons with Raj. Then I booked my road test. But he mentioned he has another test already booked for same time so I had to cancel the test date. Then I booked another test date. He mentioned that date is fine and we can take our final 2 hour class. All of the sudden he called next day and said whole family has Covid and the had arranged another third party driver for me test day. As I couldn’t cancel the exam date as it was too late and I took day off from my work as well. The other driver wasn’t good enough and not even gave me proper warm up lesson for an hours. Eventually I failed my exam. Then my brother called them just to check if they are saying truth. Then his wife took the call and they are convinced to provide lesson after a day when I failed my exam. If they have Covid then how she can offer lessons to other people during the same time. Then I realized it’s just excuse they made and I have wasted my money and time as well. Never go to them as they don’t take responsibility.

Fantastic experience: Spent a few hours with my instructor, Raj, who made me feel comfortable the whole time, from discussing pricing over the phone to the end of our final lesson together. He discussed all the different things I would need to know very well, explaining with a visual aid (used a whiteboard and toy cars) to help me understand all the driving concepts which I applied on my N test, leading me to pass on my first time. Thanks again Raj! Highly recommend, good luck with your test :)

Fantastic experience: Midtown driving is school is the driving school with a difference. I worked with several instructors before I worked with Raj. Not only is he an expert at his craft he also articulates everything lucidly giving you logical explanations for every single direction he asks you to follow. No wonder ICBC enlists his support to highlight any flaws in their rules. My advice this school will get you through your driving test like no one else. Highly recommended.

Fantastic experience: Got my Class 1 license with 0 faults that too in 1st attempt just 1 months training. He is awesome, he was not just training me for road-test but he was preparing me for actual trucking. He covered all aspects of trucking some of them those were not even required for road test, like chain-ups, adjusting slider assembly, load adjustments for every axle and many more…… Best of luck!!! Fantastic experience: Raj, the driving instructor for commercial vehicles has some amazing skills and sense of humour in training the drivers in passing their commercial license qualifications. Just a two hour session of training for the Class 4 license, and I cleared it on first attempt. He explains once but I’m detail. Thank you Raj.

Fantastic experience: Midtown Driving School is my first driving school I went in BC, and I can say it's the best driving school I could ever asked for. The instructors Bal and Raj are both excellent coaches that are friendly, knowledgeable, and very patient. They encourage students to ask questions and will explain them in detail, sometimes with demostrations that shows the potential consequences of not following the rules. This is very important to me because I'm not just blindly following the rules anymore. I know what all the checks are about and what are the hazards I need to pay attention to. I will keep doing these even after the road test because I know what I'm doing and I definitely don't want to get involved in a car accident. It's not just about passing the road test, they really did a perfect job on teaching me to be a safe and confident driver!

Fantastic experience: I highly recommend Midtown Driving School. I am really thankful to my instructor Mr. Raj who in just 10 lessons helped me gain so much knowledge and confidence in driving that I cleared both the Knowledge and Road test in my 1st attempt. Raj was quite understanding and never rushed any training session. He never let me lose confidence in myself even after making blunders during driving lessons. He was always like, "no worries, it happens to everyone". I feel its a big confidence booster. Fantastic experience: I took lessons with bal a couple months ago and I cannot explain how well she teaches!! I recommend getting 10 hours worth of lessons, just so you fully comprehend everything about the road and are completely confident in your driving. I just passed my N, Bal really helped me and I couldn’t of done this without her.

Fantastic experience: I started midtown pretty close to my N test date to cram before it. I had the basic knowledge down but needed to work on my consistency and most importantly my confidence. Midtown helped me do both of those things with flying colours. Raj was very kind and very welcoming, told me what I did wrong and how to fix it in ways I understood, and helped me find the confidence in myself that others saw.

Negative experience: May 17, 2022 - Today in Surrey I was driving south on 192nd St. coming up to 64th Ave. when a guy driving a Midtown Driving School car cut me right off as he very carelessly and without any due care and attention drove recklessly from the side road taking a left turn onto 192nd!! He 100% saw me coming up, yet he still chose to gun it and swerve right in front of me at the very last second!!! That guy from Midtown Driving School came very very close to causing an accident due to his extreme reckless driving!!! If this guy is a driving instructor he better go back and take driving lessons himself and learn the PROPER way to drive!!! DO NOT go to this business if that is the true way they conduct themselves!!!

Fantastic experience: I got my class 5 drivers license today big thanks to RAJ, he is a really professional instructor, whatever he taught me during the classes were super useful for the road test. What he teaches you is not only useful for passing the test but it also makes you a better driver, he is really dedicated and interested in his job and you can see that in the way he teaches , take classes with him you will never regret it

He covered all grounds in very few lessons and made sense of it with easy to understand drawings and practical scenarios. Fantastic experience: I absolutely recommend this driving school. As an experience driver back in my country, I thought I only needed some good guidance and useful tips to past the test here. I tried 1 class in another place and it was a disaster, they made me feel so discouraged, but after 2 hours of class with Raj, I gain back confidence: he explains great and was very patient. I also rented the car with them for my test that included a warm up lesson right before, and I passed! Thank you very much guys.

Negative experience: Bal was my instructor and she was SO rude. She treated me like a child. Didn't let me show her my skills just kept telling me all I did was wrong. She did not encourage me at all and was clearly out to try and get me to commit to a full 10 lessons which was not what I wanted at the time. At the end of my lesson all she said I could do well was drive straight even though I had been driving for over a year. I cried and felt so defeated. Then I went to a different driving school, good 2 go and they were fantastic so encouraging and helpful. Let me show my skills before correcting me. This place could learn a thing or two. I would NOT recommend

Fantastic experience: Thanks to Bal and her husband I got my N!!! They are both full of knowledge, patience and positivity. I was in 0 even after a couple of "classes" with a big named school, I was not even used to being in the passenger side of a car and they did their magic. Forever grateful, I will forever remember them and I will forever recommend them.

Fantastic experience: I thought I am a hopeless case when it comes to drive. I never hold steering wheel in my entire life and driving is not my priority. I got 15 lessons from my previous instructor but I learned nothing from him. So my husband hired another one from this driving school. He hired Bal as my new instructor. Bal is very patient and very professional. She's a great instructor, she gave me some techniques every time we have a lessons. I like the way she teach it's very clear. She's awesome!
