My instructor Sir Jason Torres is absolutely professional, He’s got Excellent knowledge of all aspects of driving and driving rules. He is patient and ensures to fine tune your areas of weaknesses. I have been lucky to have him as my instructor. Thank you for being patient and calm. It helped to put me at ease particularly when I feel nervous. Thank you for making all the time and effort in transforming me into a responsible , safe driver on the road. I have passed my Road test on first attempt and truly enjoyed entire experience. Fantastic experience: Thank you, Jason! We did it! I passed the ICBC road test for Class 5 license today. First time student of GLT Driving Academy Northshore for 3 days driving lessons. I would say, Jason is a man of road safety, he will make sure you understand the road safety rules before and while you are driving on the road he will not hesitate to tell your mistake, correct it and explain the reason behind that rules, for example shoulder check; he explained “it is not about the quantity of shoulder checks you did, it is about the understanding why you have to do shoulder check, the timing doing it especially on turning right or changing lane”. I learned a lot: 2 Way, All Way, Intersection safety rules, and many more, even though you can find them in the book, Jason will elaborate the relevant topics you will need on the Road Test and you will be comfortable asking questions if you have doubt. Indeed, GLT Driving Academy’s priority is your safety, make you learn right and drive right, no fancy tricks. Congratulations!

Fantastic experience: Prior to taking my road test I had two sessions with Jayson to refresh my memory on some of the rules and to get a good practice. Jayson knows the road test area extremely well and knows exactly what the examiners are looking for. He gave me very clear and easy to follow instructions, explained everything I needed to know for my road test and told me exactly what I needed to improve on. After the two session with Jayson I passed my class 5 road test on the first try with only two minor mistakes. If you’re looking for a driving school to prepare yourself for your road test I highly recommend GLT Driving Academy.

Fantastic experience: Cleared my road test in first attempt - Jayson, credit goes to you! I took only one lesson from Jayson to get feedback before my road test. I happened to take lesson from someone else as well in the same region with whom I had deposited the money earlier. There was a stark difference between the two. Since I am a 25 years + experienced driver from another country so I can understand the difference of quality. I cleared my road test in the first go with a sweet message from the examiner - “It was a smooth ride!” I give huge credit to Jayson. To highlight, these are the key differences I found : 1. His knowledge of rules is spot on. 2. His technique is good. 3. He is good in judging the gaps in your knowledge especially when you are unlearning the rules from another country. 4. His answers to your queries are logical and not guessed. 5. There were few important points told by him, which I didn't find anywhere in the ICBC books. 6. He is serious about his job; not seeing you as just another client. 7. On top of it, he is a nice person; I enjoyed my training with him. Fantastic experience: Without Jayson I would have failed my driving test. I thought I might be ok without a lesson because I have seen driving for years, but Jayson made me aware of my bad habit that would have caused me to fail. He also know everything there is to know about passing this test, knows all the route in north van and everything they might ask.

Fantastic experience: I came to Jayson with some driving experience because I had to swap my previous license to Canadian. After all those years on the road, I was sure that I was ready for the local road test. However, in the first lesson with Jayson, I realized that my driving skills don't suit strict local rules, and I have to practice before taking an exam. Within only a few lessons, Jayson helped me get rid of my driving "bad habits" and gain proper skills to meet all demands of the ICBC. Jayson is a super-professional and patient teacher who gently guides you and trains methodically to perform all maneuvers and to be confident on the road, with an accent on what the examiner might ask. Today I passed my road test! It was my second attempt, but the first exam experience is a part of the learning process. After my first try two weeks ago, I took another lesson with Jayson to work on a couple of mistakes I made on the first exam. And it was worth it. I've got the license. I would most certainly recommend Jayson and GLT Driving Academy. He is the best driving instructor I've ever had!

After failing my first attempt at the road test, I decided to have lessons with another instructor in a different driving school. That's when I found Jayson and noticed how different his lesson is. He gave me a lot of advices, and told me about details that the other school where I went first NEVER mentioned. He was always on time, he is very patient and he explains every step of you could improve! Today I had my road test again with the same examiner who failed me on my first one. And he couldn't believe I was the same person. As you can see in the photo, he was amazed about how I had improved after having lessons with Jayson. Fantastic experience: Many thanks to Instructor Jason, at first when my parents recommended for me to take driving lesson. I was hesitant, but upon meeting him and our first lesson I was immediately amazed at how great his attention to detail was, that combined with his fun personality. A great driving instructor, he was always patient with me in which helped me gain confidence as a new driver, and before i knew it 6 lessons went by. Today on Dec 10 2021 I took my Driving test and passed on my first try with flying grade on my paper. Fantastic experience: GTL offerers invaluable driving instruction. Jayson, my instructor, knows exactly what ICBC examiners are looking for, is a keen observer, and very supportive. I am dyslexic, so directions are sometimes challenging for me, and I am not familiar with North Van roads. His instruction not only lead me to pass my road test, but will be a great benefit to my driving in the years ahead.

Fantastic experience: If you are learning how to drive, this is it. Look no further. Sir Jayson has a very calm demeanour and very approachable. He will prepare you not only for your test but also on developing good driving skills. I have been on a “lesson” with my husband and taken my road test twice, failed both times. My husband has decided that it is really required for me to be in a driving lesson and I am glad that through word-of-mouth, we found Sir Jayson! If there’s someone who can prepare you for your road test, it is him. He will take you to where exactly the road test is. You will be familiarized with the area, the hazards and develop your strengths and correct mistakes. Everything that you needed to learn and do to pass your road test are exactly what he is going to teach you. I attended a mock test with him as well and it made me prepare for my big day. I am now more aware of what needs improvement and the reason why I fail previous times. Safe to say, I am a better and confident driver now because of Sir Jayson. Fantastic experience: Passed my Class 5 Road Test on the first try after taking only 2 classes with Jayson. I can't express how happy I am I learned from him. I had been driving for 10 years abroad and had so many bad habits. After my first class with Jayson, we had identified all the habits and techniques I needed to correct and improve. I think this is what ultimately helped me pass. He also took me through the exact routes of the examiners and he would take me back to the areas where I needed improvement. We did a little warm up right before my road test. By the time I had my road test, I knew EXACTLY what to do and I was able to do it right! He also accommodated last minute schedule changes and was very patient, encouraging, and kind. I was very nervous coming into this whole experience, but Jayson definitely made it 100x more positive. Fantastic experience: I rarely write reviews, but this had to be said about the phenomenal experience and training I received by GLT Driving Academy. If you are looking to learn how to drive along the North Shore, Jayson is the instructor for you! First and foremost, Jayson is an absolute pleasure to be around. You can just tell that he is a very kind person at heart with a vast knowledge about driving. He makes the learning experience digestible with very little pressure. Second, as new drivers, I find it common that we feel nervous and anxious behind the wheel. Although you are the one driving for the first time in the vehicle, Jayson somehow makes the entire situation feel like it's under control and safe. I have never once felt like I was in danger while driving with him which was one of my biggest fears. Lastly, Jayson really has a great knowledge about the potential routes you may go on when taking your Road Test. This means that he prepares you in every way possibly that replicates the test itself. I found myself feeling extremely confident about my Road Test because not only did Jayson cover everything that will be tested, but I was driving on the road that we were practicing on! I could have never asked for a better instructor and am glad I chose GLT as my driving academy. Without a doubt, Jayson was the reason for my success in driving and I couldn't be more grateful. Fantastic experience: It all started one month back when I met Jayson for my Class 7 'N' Road Test. I didn't had any experience of driving a car earlier and we both agreed in having 14 classes before the road test. Fantastic experience: I’ve been driving for almost 20 years so the thought of going for another road test was a little terrifying. As if moving counties isn’t stressful enough! Jayson was great at pointing out bad driving habits I have picked up along the way (without ever making me feel insecure). He is very calm, positive, friendly and super knowledgeable. The best decision I made was going to him for a few lessons before my class 5 road test which I passed first time!

Fantastic experience: Highly recommended!!! Jason is beyond the best instructor I've ever met. He is consistent, knowledgeable, patient, lots of experience, and very kind. I failed two times getting my Class 5, did couple of lessons with other instructor, I thought I knew everything but the result says otherwise until I met Jason, did only two lessons with him but because of those two short lessons, I passed my Class 5. He was able to cover all points and polished my skills where other instructors failed to do. If you are a first time driver, you definitely have to enroll lessons with Jason, stop wasting time and money with other driving school. It will be worth it! Fantastic experience: Took two driving lessons with different instructors before I had a lesson with Jayson. While I already felt quite confident with my driving, Jayson helped fix all of my mistakes that likely would have made me fail my road test, and pointed out things that previous instructors hadn't mentioned. I ended up passing the test with no mistakes. Highly recommend!

Fantastic experience: Jason is the best instructor in town! Got my Class 5 driving licence after moving to BC from Ukraine. If you want to be ready to pass your road test in a heavy rain from the first try, book some lessons with this school. Jason provided ton of insights on how to prepare for the test in just 2 lessons, polished the basics and definitely improved my driving in general. I recommend to buy a warm-up exam package as well.
