Fantastic experience: I completed the Insurance Reduction Course, which included five 2-hour in-vehicle driving lessons with Ernie. As a complete beginner, I was nervous about getting started, but Ernie was an excellent instructor—knowledgeable, professional, and supportive. He focused on helping me develop responsible and correct driving habits, ensuring I was fully prepared for the Road Test. After five lessons and one additional brush-up session, I passed my Road Test on my first attempt. Ernie is a fantastic instructor, and my experience with ADC Driving School has been truly memorable. Thank you, Ernie and ADC Driving School—you are awesome!

Fantastic experience: Great customer service, Juan was patient and provided our daughter with the required skills to pass her test on the 1st attempt. Schedule, rates and timelines are excellent at ADC compared to other driving schools in Calgary.

Positive experience: Came back to change my review after Ricky reached out and tried to make things right with us. He didn't hesitate to try and rectify the situation and make us happy. Offered to give us some additional driving tests which helped my teenage daughter tremendously and gave her a boost of confidence. This company cares about the quality of service that they provide and if it's not perfect, they will make it right for you. Wish we had a great experience from the get-go but Ricky certainly stepped up to make up for it and as a result, I would highly recommend this company.

Fantastic experience: Experience with the driving lessons have been flawless. I've had lessons with Ricky, Ernie and Muhammad, and all three driving instructors have been a great help in improving my driving. Ricky was what helped kickstart my early driving journey. He was patient and calm. He taught me all the necessary fundamentals of driving. He helped fix some of the common beginner driving mistakes as well and has, overall, been a great driving instructor. Ernie was also a good driving instructor. He was calm, patient and gave useful tips about driving. Muhammad has been an excellent driving instructor and I highly recommend him. His instructions are clear and concise, and when needed, he can re-word his instructions into simple, easy to follow steps. If any questions come up, he will answer with plentiful detail. Muhammad has taught me how to drive better and safer. He was able to make me more confident in my driving abilities. He is incredibly patient, calm, knowledgeable, and is genuinely one of the best driving instructors I've had. In general, my experience has been great. Each instructor, especially if you're just beginning to drive, is patient and calm which is perfect for those who are starting to drive. To no offence to the other driving instructors, even though they have all been great, I recommend Muhammed the most. Personally, I've had the best experience with him, though, I will state again, all driving instructors are great.

Fantastic experience: My instructor was Carl, for background knowledge I had only driven for max 2 weeks prior so I was really new at driving in general. First day Carl just basically gave me a rundown of everything, by the time it was the 3rd class I felt ready for the test. Any questions he easily explained, any review I had he listened and late night conversations were aplenty. I took the test for the first time today, and very easily passed it. I'm dedicating this post to him. Thank You Carl!!

Fantastic experience: One of the best driving schools if not the best one in Calgary! The instructors really want you to pass and you can see that. I was able to pass the test on my first try because the lessons were very comprehensive thanks to my instructor!

Fantastic experience: Will highly recommend ADC to anyone!! My instructor Jigar has been super patient with me and helped me to get use to all the technical rules of driving. Even after 20 years of driving in a different country, I still had to get use to and adapt to a lot of new things on the roads of Calgary, and Jigar made it very easy. Ricky also was great with replying to our initial queries, communication straight through and guiding us through the steps of the different lesson options.

Fantastic experience: Highly recommend ADC. As newcomers to Canada from a left-hand drive country, learning how to drive on the right made me very apprehensive. My instructor, Muhammad was excellent, very patient and good company in the car. We also did the online learning program certification. Our whole experience was great.

Fantastic experience: Just want share my experience with ADC. I booked the insurance reduction package online, and it was a very convenient tool. This was one of the reasons I chose ADC, because I wanted to plan ahead for on road course time before I pay the package. I chose Ernie as my son's instructor because his available times matched ours. He was very knowledgable and calm; my son learnt a lot from him and passed road test on his first attempt. He also gave a lot advice for my son after getting his class 5 GDL license. The lady Michelle answered the phone at ADC was also very helpful. I called several times to book test rentals, and she was always there to help. Ricky also re-sent the online course link when we could not find the original email. I highly recommend ADC Driving School.

Fantastic experience: I absolutely never write reviews, but after having lessons with both Ricky and Ernie, I can say that Ernie’s teaching is exceptional and phenomenal. No shade to Ricky, he did teach me a lot about the road and is very knowledgeable as well; however, Ernie went above and beyond my expectations during the lessons. I highly recommend both of them!!

Fantastic experience: I took lessons here with Ernie and I highly recommend him to anyone who is learning how to drive and seeking to pass their test first try. Ernie is kind, patient, and most of all is incredibly knowledgeable. Not only did he impart on me the necessary skills to pass my road test, but he gave me a wealth of valuable tips to be the safest driver I can be in my day to day. Ernie is truly a great teacher. I am grateful I took classes with him; I certainly could not have passed my road test without his mentorship.

Positive experience: I took lessons with Ricky way back and I have to say I have become a better driver as a result of his teaching. That being said there were certain experiences which I did not like. Firstly on my third lesson ever driving Ricky took me downtown to drive which was very overwhelming for me and I definitely felt like I wasn't ready. Secondly there were times where I didn't appreciate Ricky using curse words or raising his voice at me when I made a mistake. I thought it was kind of unprofessional and can lower the confidence of a new driver. That being said we did have some nice conversations and my confidence in driving has skyrocketed ever since. I think Ricky is a great guy and an ok instructor but I don't recommend him for students that have high anxiety levels or are complete rookies in driving.

Fantastic experience: I just wanted to give a huge shoutout to Carl, I recently finished my five driving lessons with him and I definitely feel more confident behind the wheel. Before taking the driving lessons, I had no faith in myself but he gave me the courage and confidence to drive. He made me feel comfortable and would help me recover when I made a mistake. I feel ready to take my class 5 exam! I’d recommend ADC driving school to anyone who has no experience driving or isn’t confident enough because they really do help with that. Thank you!

Fantastic experience: When I called for info at ADC Driving School, I was told that it was a small school. I tried anyway but quickly learned that the quality is not small. This driving school is full of knowledge - everything you need to know to pass your test and, of course, to train you to drive safely. I went on the road mostly with Carl and some with Ricky. They are both excellent in getting to know your driving weaknesses and quickly correct them. I am so glad that I decided to call ADC Driving School. If I know anyone who wants driving lessons, I will definitely recommend them to go with ADC Driving School. Thank you very much ADC Driving School.

Fantastic experience: I appreciated my driving lessons at ADC with Ricky. When given directions like making turns or getting onto certain roads, he wouldn't tell me directly how to do them (given I already knew how to do those techniques), but let me independently figure out my way to follow his directions, even if it meant making mistakes and learning from them. I believe that this method reveals that Ricky chooses to teach his students not only to make money, but to help them become independent drivers, I also could see how even when I put Ricky into a dangerous situation like almost, he did yell, but didn't let those frights disturb him or anger him from giving me quality teachings. . Ricky gets into nice friendly conversations. He's very chill. I'd rate him 5 stars.

Negative experience: I sincerely agree with all the 1 star reviews for this school and the instructor Ricky. If there was an option for a zero star review that would be my choice! First and foremost, my cousin had such a terrible experience with Ricky as an instructor, during the initial class he had degraded her driving experience. She is a first time driver, that is the point of a driving school and instructor is to teach and provide the necessary experience to a first time driver. He then begins to bring in her personal experiences into the driving class which is unnecessary. Stating that people younger than her already have their license whilst she does not. How is any of that relevant to driving and how does that build confidence in a student! She pushed through to finish the classes, but during the course of the driving lessons he processed to tell her she is not doing well, and even starts swearing at her for a simple mistake in which he should have been paying attention to as well. Throughout the course of the driving lessons we would hear feedback from my cousin about her experience it was all negative, Do not waste your time, money or mental health with this school or instructor he has no patience for student whom clearly show nervousness as a first time driver. I am 100% sure he deletes 1 star reviews to boosts his school ratings. Don’t waste your time here. Thanks for nothing Ricky.

Fantastic experience: I have so much to say!! I did the insurance reduction course and rented a car from ADC for my road test.. Now I was on a tight schedule, I booked my 5 courses back to back and had my road test booked for the day after my last Lesson. I was STRESSED! But Carl was an amazing teacher, I was hesitant at first because I had a friend take this course and loved Ricky but knew nothing about Carl. But safe to say Carl was the best!! I told him on the first day about my road test and he made a plan on how we will best get me prepared for my test. And the schools way of taking their students to unfamiliar areas and not doing the testing routes has made me more confident to drive anywhere. Carl wasn’t sure what they’d test me on exactly because of my area so after teaching the things he knew would be on the test he went a little further and taught me how to merge into a highway, how to exit a highway, etc. Also… I PASSED MY TEST FIRST TRY!! Again I can’t give Carl enough praise!! And the Car rental was great, the guy who dropped off the car was so encouraging and even after the test instructor was running 30-45 minutes late he stuck around the whole time.

I felt so comfortable learning with him and even if I made repetitive mistakes, he corrected me without making me feel bad. I passed on my first try because of Carl! Owe it all to him.

Negative experience: I have no idea where the positive reviews of Ricky come from. My daughter had a terrible experience with him to the extent where she asked to end the 2 hr session after only 1 hr. Ricky was constantly berating her for her poor driving skills(!), he kept commenting on her personality and cursed a couple times. I guess my expectation that a driving instructor be patient and actually teach driving was a bit too high. My daughter switched to Derek Brown (comparable pricing), loves it and is making noticeable improvements. Save your time & money. I cannot recommend Ricky for new drivers.

Fantastic experience: My daughter finished her 10 hours driving lessons with Ricky recently. My daughter enjoyed her driving lessons a lot. We are now more comfortable with her driving our cars. He didn't just tell me what to do, he explained the why and how of everything he taught and guided me through coming to my own understandings and realizations. It made a world of difference in improving my driving anxiety and I feel like I built a strong self-efficacy in driving thanks to the lessons. Also, driving manual in the VR race sim was really fun. Fantastic experience: Ricky is a Top G. He is amazing at improving your driving skills, from starting out to knowing how to drive. He will always have tips and knowledge to indulge you in. He is patient and friendly, he understands the situation of all his students, and teaches them accordingly. I had great talks with him, he was a good person to listen to. We had ideals that were different but some that were the same. He’s a person that cares about what is the best for the student. Personally, I would recommend him, as I passed first try. Thank for letting me try on your simulator, as it was fun to learn clutch. I will be hoping to get a car in manual, to learn it. Keep racing and stay safe!

Fantastic experience: I finished my driving lessons with Ricky last week. Taking lessons with him was one of the best decisions I could have made. Ricky was extremely patient with me and talked me through everything I did. I had a fear of lane changes and left turns but his guidance and tips greatly increased my confidence behind the wheel and lessened my anxiety overall. I liked that he asked me what I wanted to go over everyday and what I struggled with. Additionally, I really appreciated that he challenged me and put me outside of my comfort zone. I went to a previous driving school and stopped after my first lesson because I was only being taught the test route. Ricky will take you to various different parts of the city which is very beneficial long-term for real world driving. My classes challenged me to improve on my observational skills and my awareness of rules of the road. Ricky is kind, professional, and genuinely cares about his students and their success. I am hoping to book my driver's test sometime this summer once I get a bit more practice under my belt. If you have any questions I highly recommend that you ask him. Fantastic experience: I went in this week a year out of practice and the confidence I got after 1 hour was amazing. I loved that I got taught how to shoulder check properly it really made a difference for my anxiety with lane changes. I took most of my driving education elsewhere. But decided to give ADC a shot for its affordable 1 and 2 hour sessions and the stuff I learned in an hour has made a huge difference for me as a driver! So much of a difference I booked my driving exam in August!!

Fantastic experience: Ricky is an excellent instructor. Besides being very experienced in his field, he is patient and always tries to implement alternative approaches in order to ensure that I am learning as much as possible. He has a genuine interest in his students and a dedication to his field. These classes were extremely informative and engaging for me, especially for a new driver. This was a very useful experience for me, and I felt more comfortable behind the wheel as a result. A driving school like this is highly recommended to anyone who is a new driver and is fearful of the road or wishes to improve their driving skills. All in all(10/10), it is well worth your money and you gain so much from it. Thank you Ricky :)

Fantastic experience: Just finished my driving school and I cannot stress how great Ricky is at instructing new drivers. I used to have no confidence and lots of fear behind the wheel, but Ricky made the roads and the vehicle feel like a very controlled, comfortable, and safe place. The online learning was not hard at all and not very time consuming if you space the lessons out. After my time with Ricky, I truly felt like I not only made a new friend, but also met my new favourite teacher. He cares about his students and has a passion for his profession. I highly recommend this driving school to any New drivers that have a fear of the road or to any drivers that are looking to refine their driving safety and skills.

This school teaches proper, real world driving. Much unlike some other schools in Calgary. The Chill no BS attitude of the instructor, Ricky, really helps you to clam your nerves and allows you to become a better, safer Independent driver ready to tackle everything Calgary can throw at you. Ricky gives amazing constructive criticism and allows you to problem solve your way around Calgary! This is a driving school that you should not sleep on! Fantastic experience: ADC is a great driving school and is very well worth for the money! Ricky is a professional and awesome instructor and I truly recommend taking this driving school. Ricky's lessons and knowledge helped me pass my road test first try.

Negative experience: This review is about Ricky and his lack of respect for a hand shake deal, not his driving school. Ricky was selling a vehicle, my 17 year old and I went and looked at it, 17 year old loved it and wanted it. We shook hands with Ricky and told him we would line up inspection. The next day we lined up inspection and also put insurance on vehicle, later that day Ricky said he sold it to someone else for $300 more. Hand shake, verbal acknowledgement and texts telling him where we were in the process and him ok with everything. As a businessman myself, the honor in a handshake deal still exists. Of course I was upset and Ricky thought I was being petty about a $3k car when he went back on a handshake and verbal agreement for $300 more. Be careful when dealing business with Ricky. Would be a zero star but.....

Fantastic experience: Started driving school feeling very nervous and a bit overwhelmed about driving in general. Ricky made sure the pace was right and that I was calm and alert. Ricky taught all the basics I needed to pass the road test with flying colours and continue to build up my experience in driving while staying safe.

Fantastic experience: I am beyond thankful to Ricky, very professional, patient and accommodating. With my busy work schedule, it was very hard for me to book my lessons and he squeezed me in to his also already busy schedule (as he’s the only instructor available at the time) to get my lessons done. My fifth and final lesson day was also the day I did my road test…. and I passed!

Fantastic experience: Great instructor that gives clear feedback and makes sure you understand what to do. Was able to pass my road test on the first try due to his teaching. A little plus side is that he is good at conversation so it wont be awkward while you drive.

Fantastic experience: I'm just on my 2nd session and I still have 3 more, but I have learned a lot already and I know that I can be confident enough to pass my road test after my lessons. Ricky also tried his best to accommodate me knowing how full his schedule is and he really has a lot of patience for somebody like me. :)

Fantastic experience: I was the most nervous, anxious driver to get behind the wheel but Ricky helped me get rid of my fear of driving! He gave me confidence and reassurance throughout our classes and was a super relaxed and calm instructor who was fun to chat to while learning to drive! Ricky made sure I was okay with our learning as we progressed. He also encouraged any questions you had and was great at making sure I understood everything. Hands down the BEST driving school and all worth the money! I've seen my sister and brother try out other schools and have had to re-do many of their driving tests but with Ricky he makes sure you pass the first time! The car is also very easy to learn with and maneuver with. I was debating which driving schools to go with and ultimately went with this one, I'm happy I made the right decision! Highly recommend this school when you're deciding who to go to!
