Negative experience: My son got lessons after a long wait with Anna for G2. She was quite condescending with her words. Even the online class was very lengthy and boring. Overall we didn’t like this school, we ended up taking another instructor for the test.

Fantastic experience: After failing my G2 test once 10 years ago, I was totally disheartened and completely avoided driving or taking another test until earlier this year when I signed up for UniPol. I redid the online classes which were great because they fit in with my busy schedule. When it came to in-car lessons, Bhupinder was genuinely everything I could have asked for in a teacher. She was clear in her instructions and very patient with me, especially initially as I was a very nervous driver. She taught me how to build confidence behind the wheel and encouraged me right up until the day of my G2, which I passed on the first attempt. Fantastic experience: I had great experience at unipol with Anna as my driving instructor. She helped me become a confident driver and thanks to this I was able to pass my driving test in one go. She provided me with helpful advice and instructions to follow in order to become a successful and comfortable driver. Throughout our lessons, Anna was always honest about my mistakes and kindly offered me ways I could fix them instead of becoming frustrated with me. She is a patient and wonderful instructor.

Fantastic experience: The whole experience was great. I did in class lessions and learned a lot. Then I went for in car lessons and passed my G2 first time. You start to notice sudtle ways Unipol does things differently that made me appreciate them. I doubt you'll be dissappointed.

Negative experience: If you have Aman as a driving instructor ask to switch, he's awful! Had two incidents where he took personal phone calls. When I parked and told him I wasn't comfortable with him on the phone during my session, he just took if off speaker and continued talking for a couple of minutes while I just sat there. Never commented or helped me improve on my driving at all. Would always say, "good" and get me to move on. E.g. when I was parallel parking, he said I was good and to continue driving. When I asked if how I parked would get me a pass on the test, he said no, I was too far. Soooo, it's not good then! He never took me to the QEW/400 series highways even though it's apart of the test. I actually had to ask him to take to me any highway at all because I had spent the last couple of sessions parking in circles at the mall! There's MUCH more I can talk about regarding this instructor. What a shame to spend so much money on this course to get this experience in return.

Fantastic experience: Very good driving school. I had some experience driving outside Canada. I went to the school to complete driver education course for the insurance discount. I encountered very knowledgeable and professional instructors that cleaned up all of my habits from driving in another country and taught me the "Canadian way" to drive. Which is exactly what you need to pass your driving exam. I have pass my highway driving exam on my first attempt.

Fantastic experience: I had a great experience with Unipol! The in-class lessons were informative and I particularly enjoyed the day we were with Thomas. He kept the class engaged and was very knowledgeable! For my in car lessons, I was with Bhupinder. I cannot recommend her enough! Bhupinder was well versed in all rules of the road, maneuvers, and driving etiquette in general. She helped ease my nerves and gave me practical suggestions which improved my driving greatly. Bhupinder booked all my lessons in a timely manner and helped me gain confidence allowing me to take my G2 test sooner than I thought I would feel ready and passed today on the first try! Her tips for parallel parking and 3-point turns were extremely helpful. I will for sure be back for more lessons before I go for my G test. Overall, my experience with Unipol and Bhupinder was amazing and whether you know nothing about driving or are more seasoned in it, either way this is the place for you.

Still cannot realise what a great decision I made. The experience I received was way better than I could imagine. My request was to retake my driving test and get my Canadian driver's license after moving from another country, but before taking the test I decided to take some driving lessons to understand the differences between driving in Canada and Europe, that's why I decided to apply to the local driving school. Fantastic experience: What I would say is Unipol is a perfect space to learn driving.. as i had tried learning driving with another school but unfortunately i didn’t find it as good so it quit there… after few days a friend of mine suggested me Unipol driving school where I met Anna as my instructor.. so special n heartedly thanks to her for her teachings.. she is an amazing mentor who helped me learning great driving skills.. I enjoyed learning with her she such a lovely person.. Finally I got my G2 license in first go.. ❤️

Negative experience: Bupinder was horrible. She was rude and extremely judgemental. Never taught me to look in the three mirrors nor adjust them. Never got me familiar with the car controls. For 6/10 of the lessons she did the turns at the intersections for me. Grabbed the steering wheel and used the brake. I had to tell her to let me do it on my own and I did so successfully. Very limited availability. She never replied to messages no matter how much you texted her. I only got around 12 lessons from her in a span of 6+ months.

Fantastic experience: Great driving school experience with Anna. I passed first attempt.

Negative experience: The online classes weren't too bad, albeit the mandatory breaks were quite annoying. When we got into the driving sessions things took a turn for the worse. The driving instructor arrived 30 minutes early and it took me about 15 minutes to get ready and make it to his car as he wasn't stopped in front of my building. Right off the bat the instructor told me he'd either need to drop me off near his next appointment or he'd need to end our session early so he could make it to his next session on time. I don't get many opportunities to drive and practice, so I decided it would be best to have him drop me off near his next session. Despite this, he dropped me off after only an hour of driving. The session was supposed to be 2 hours. Also, his car's steering wheel was damaged, the foam/rubber coating that covered the metal underneath was coming off right where you put your left hand. My driving instructor had "fixed" it by putting clear packing tape over it, which was quite painful to use. Throughout all sessions he did not have it properly repaired or replaced. The next session was alright, not many complaints there. If I recall correctly he did end the session about 15 minutes early. The third session wasn't that bad either, he did end the session early again. He had an open session the very next day, so I took it. He told me he'd have to drop me off near his next session again. Unfortunately my girlfriend had COVID that evening, so I texted the instructor that evening to let him know that it would be best to reschedule. My contract says the first time I cancel with less than 24 hours notice it's free. When we had our fourth session he claimed that I needed to pay him for the lost time, and that COVID is over I should've attended the session. I reminded him that my contract stipulates that the first cancellation is free. He also complained about dropping me off at all these places up the mountain, saying he's "not a taxi service" which I only requested to be dropped off due to it making it easier on him. Once again he ended the session early. With our fifth and final session he asked if I could be dropped off up the mountain again. I declined and asked to be dropped off at my house in downtown Hamilton. The session was mostly uneventful, other than him taking a bathroom break mid session and him ending the session early. In total I believe I lost out on about 2 hours of in class sessions. I would not recommend this driving school unless you just want the record of taking a MTO approved driving course.

He was patient with me and wanted me to succeed while applying all the safest driving habits and provided me with all the important tips I needed to know for the G2 road test. My in-class sessions were great and my initial driving lessons not so much. When I did voice my concerns that I needed a second opinion on my driving, my needs were attended to right away. Negative experience: I had the CEO,the man who owns Unipol as my teacher and he made my life a nightmare. You see I was going for my G1 and was a teen and also just started working a part time job. He said he could make accommodations around my shifts. But he would pick days to do lessons and then flake to go to the USA. He did it three times and I needed the 10 hours to get the certificate. When I explained to my mom what was happening she called him and he tried to LIE to my own mom and tell her I’d cancelled classes. I of course said no and that he made me late to my job one day because he arranged a driving lesson. It was hours before my shift but he showed up an hour before my shift and I told him not to since I need to be a work. He got mad at me for that. My mom told him she believed me and he tells her he’s done with me and she said she wanted a full refund and he said he’d only give us a partial refund. I didn’t get a certificate. I didn’t know this but I needed those hours to qualify for my parents auto insurance.
