Mike (the instructor) was patient and was able to explain everything in great detail. They even set up the G2 test and we were able to use their vehicle for the test (for a fee). This made everything so much easier as this is the main vehicle she learned on. If I could give more stars I would!*********

Negative experience: I don’t know about other instructors, but avoid Omar at all costs. I had very bad experience with him. He cancelled class last minute many times. He was very rude, not patient and expect me to remember every steps (as a newbie) for parallel parking while I only have 1 class per week with him, sometimes 1 class for 2 weeks (and he cancelled). I couldn’t study properly. Plus I paid for 10 hours studying with him, I only can study 8 hours before my test because of conflict schedule, but the Driving School refused to arrange another instructor for me to get enough hours, and also they didn’t want to refund me for the missing hours. And yes, I failed lol.

Negative experience: These guys do not have any office on address mentioned on photo (633 King st, Oshawa). Nobody picks up call (I have tried 25 times !!). Finally, tired of calling, I went to address mentioned but didn’t find their office on ground floor or upper floor of plaza. Terrible experience!!

Fantastic experience: I completed the online driving course and took lessons through Provincial Driving School. My experience was fantastic from the start! I had a few questions in the beginning about how the process would work and I received helpful and timely responses via email. The online learning portion was straight forward and I never encountered any technical issues. I found the content to be informative and helpful. At times, it felt repetitive, but repetition is crucial when learning to drive! Lastly, I did the 10 hours of in car lessons with my assigned instructor, Ismail. I cannot say enough wonderful things about Ismail! I had barely driven in a car previous to my lessons and by my second lesson I was on 80km/h roads and feeling so much more comfortable and confident! Ismail is a kindhearted individual who only wants the best for his students. He teaches you the skills you need, but also builds your confidence. He was truly a blessing of an instructor, as I know if I had gotten someone stern, I would not have done as well. Today I passed my G2 test on the first attempt! Of course I made a few mistakes, but I only have my own nerves and anxiety to blame for that! Overall, my instruction and lessons through Provincial Driving School and Ismail prepared me to drive confidently and I have begun to feel more and more comfortable behind the wheel! Fantastic experience: I had a great experience with this driving school, I took lessons to prepare me for my g test, the driving instructor is nice and made me feel comfortable! he taught me a lot of stuff and helped me! I would for sure recommend this place.

Fantastic experience: I’d highly recommend this school. The online course was very convenient for my son, unlike having to go into a classroom at a set time my son could log in whenever he was available. The instructor we had showed up on time and was extremely patient. All communication weather it be e-mail or text was very clear. They will send all the information you need out so please take the time to read the message, twice if you have too, everything you need to know will be in the message. Good luck future drivers

Negative experience: Don't waste your hard earned money with Provincial! Terrible communication. Lack of instructors. No accommodations for tall people within their range of cars. It has been months and my son hasn't had 1 in car lesson, can't even get a call back.

Negative experience: I have been waiting over a year to complete my courses that are already paid in full. Finished the online stuff now ive been waiting to speak with anyone about something that can be done about the time and money lost ive called ive emailed ive left messages and no response extremely upset and unprofessional behavior

Fantastic experience: Both of my daughters did their drivers ed through Provincial Driving school in Oshawa. One just before/beginning of covid and one during/after. Both had great experiences. They learned everything they needed for the G1 portion with the in class/online learning and my second just passed her driving test on the first try. (first daughter did as well). The both had Omar as an instructor, he was patient and knowledgable. We requested him the second time. Highly recommend Provincial Driving School!

Negative experience: Such an inconsiderate driving school, I'm glad I gave up and took my business elsewhere. I told Mary that my goal was to complete my road test within a month. Instead of saying we can't/won't do that [because we rather you buy an expensive package that you don't even need] she'd email me once in a while with vague responses about availability. All phone calls go straight to voicemail and she doesn't even have the decency to call you back.

Fantastic experience: I had a great overall experience with this driving school! Communication was clear and timely with Mary, thank you for being so helpful. I also want to say thank you so much to my driving instructor Qader who was very efficient and thorough but kind! He is really good at what he does! I did an hour refresher lesson with Qader before my G2 road test and he made me feel encouraged and confident & I passed! Thank you!

Fantastic experience: I am a late in life driver and was signed up with a driving school in pickering but they were the worst because of my age and gender. When I decided to do some lessons with provincial I told Joe of having anxiety of driving and he was the best! Literally so patient and understanding which is so appreciated. Plus he took me on the highway and now after getting my g2 I'm comfortably driving on the highway! Thank you Joe!

Positive experience: Great people, who take the time to help and teach You. I had Mary as my instructor to get my G back in March, got it on the first try no sweat. Highly recommend to anybody looking for a reliable & affordable driving school in Durham.

Fantastic experience: We had a 5 star experience with Provincial Driving School. They were very accommodating with our son’s schedule and very pleasant to deal with. Mary was also very truthful about our son being ready for the G2 road test. She ended up postponing our sons original test date so he would be ready. We ended up having Mary take our son on the day of the road test which I would highly recommend. She took him out for a final 1 hour drive before the test and also took care of everything at the testing facility. Needless to say our son passed on his first attempt! Well worth the money! I will definitely be employing Provincial Driving School for my younger children when they become of age. Thank you very much Provincial Driving School!

Negative experience: My daughter signed up for lessons in April…it’s now June 29th and she has had 1 lesson! She texts the driver with her very open availability only to be responded many days later, unable to do..then again respond and ignored many days. She complained politely the situation via email to the school ...miraculously the driver texts her! Same issue! She requested another driver and here we are again just over a month later and can’t book a lesson with a driver. She will start university in sept and assumed when signing up in April she would get at least 1 lesson a week. We would like a refund and just pay for the 1 lesson and that’s being refused. Absolutely ridiculous that no driver could commit to a lesson and nearly 3 months wasted on 1 lesson. I don’t recommend this school, unless you can get in writing a commitment to lessons. UPDATE* NO REFUND GIVEN

Fantastic experience: Great experience overall. I took lessons for my G full license exam this May 2022 as well as my wife for her G2 exam a few months back. Instructor was very professional, provides clear instructions, and constructive criticisms. My instructor acknowledges the many different scenarios that new drivers in Ontario may find confusing, which helped clear my doubts and improved my confidence. 100% will recommend to friends and family.

Fantastic experience: I would highly recommend Provincial Driving School to anyone working towards either their G2 or G license. I did lessons with Mary and Joe. They are both extremely helpful and patient. They truly prepare you for all you need to know on the driving test.

Negative experience: Rude, condescending, a pain to deal with. I wouldn’t even recommend this driving school company to somebody that I hate. The instructor that I had was very nice! A great teacher, always kind, and with Shak I passed my g2 test perfectly. However, the people you’ll be dealing with are the problem. Not only were several of my emails completely ignored, I was threatened over text by the “supervisor”, telling me that he would Report me to the MTO for being an unfit driver, meanwhile at the time I have never driven a vehicle?? Tell me how that would be possible. They threatened me by telling me that my “file was closed” and “don’t contact us again”, and knowing that they don’t offer refunds, I was freaking out about them having over $300 from me with no lessons. However the next day I started getting inquiries about starting in person driving lessons? And in the end I did end up getting my certificate. I don’t know who that was that threatened me, they claimed that they were the supervisor. It started because I told them to stop talking to me with attitude after they were being extremely rude and condescending. No calm and confused customers deserve to be treated like that, so DO NOT GO TO THIS SCHOOL. I would not recommend it to my worst enemy. Seeing a lot of the horrible reviews prove that many customers get scammed from this business, customers get ignored, we get treated very badly, don’t go to this school.

Fantastic experience: Mary has been working with our son helping him to learn to drive for some time now. With her guidance he has become confident, learned great skills and today with her mentoring he passed his driving test. We could not be more pleased with Mary and this company. We will be working with them again soon. I absolutely highly recommend. If you have someone who needs driving lessons then this is the school to hire! You won’t be disappointed!!

Fantastic experience: This company has been amazing for my son. Covid has hit this industry hard but they were very upfront and honest about wait times. Mary is patient and calm in the car and my son feels well prepared for his upcoming road test. I highly recommend this company and will use for my younger son when he’s ready too! The staggered payments and reasonable price is very handy, you don’t have to pay entire fee at once. Thanks Mary

Negative experience: Had our daughter drive me to her road test, feeling confident she knew the basics after paying hundreds of dollars for lessons with Omar. Our daughter came back from her test, crying and shaking when she failed. Only then did we learn she had never been shown parallel parking, nor parking on a hill, nor putting on an emergency brake and so much more. When we contacted the school, we were shocked to hear they simply stood by their driver and refused to believe the lack of basic lessons we paid for, nor offer any compensation for all of the money we are out for having to have her re-start lessons and test, elsewhere. Very terrible and disappointing service. Buyer beware.

Fantastic experience: Joe was the best instructor. I felt comfortable reviewing the rules of the road for the G test. I felt reassured taking the G test after being in the car with him. I passed with flying colours.

Negative experience: Before getting enrolled in this school please clarify everything, because they don’t give any refunds. You will loss your money. Very bad experience. They charged $150 for beginners driver education course, i even passed this test but they neither gave me completion certificate nor my money back, just because I didn’t do in-person car training from them, which they ask me to wait for 4 months to get in-person training, i was not ready to wait this long. So I asked for course certificate or refund. I received nothing from them.

Fantastic experience: I took about three in car lessons with Provincial Driving School in Oshawa about two weeks before my G2 test and it was a huge help to me. Mary was amazing and help me feel confident in myself and helped me practice what it is I’d be doing for the test. Definitely highly recommend them! I passed first try !

Mary was delightful to work with, very communicative, organized and proactive. Omar was the in-car instructor, he was also amazing. Fantastic experience: I just passed my first road test as a result of the excellent service provided by Provincial Driving School. I did all my lessons with Shak, and I feel that he deserves much of the credit for my success. He worked around my busy schedule and went above and beyond to find me an available test appointment, which have been very hard to come by recently. This is a teacher that truly cares about the success of his students. I will be contacting him again when it is time for my G test!

Fantastic experience: I came from Toronto to get my G test in Belleville. I needed preparation for it and randomly contacted Mr. Moe. It must been a sign from God for sending me this instructor. He is well versed in his field and you won't regret it learning from him. If you live in Belleville or coming outside from Belleville don't look elsewhere! Moreover, he has excellent interpersonal skills and copes with your personality.

Fantastic experience: Provincial driving school is a great place to send your kids, not just because of the great education they provide, but also because of the good attitude they encourage to have on the road. The in class instructor that has taught me is called Joe, and he has given many good tips and tricks as to how to stay safe on the road. He has also debunked many myths that regular drivers have. This has helped me become a better and safer driver because of his encouragement towards safe and quick decision making skills on the road. I’d recommend Provincial Driving School to anyone. It’s very professional and a good place to learn because they keep it interesting, yet informative.

Fantastic experience: Joe is an absolute legend, he makes sure you understand all of the concepts and skills required to be an excellent driver on and off the road. The classroom concept is excellent, and the course itself has multiple presentations. videos, and interactive software dedicated to students for gaining knowledge and understanding the true privilege of driving a motor vehicle. I feel as though I have learned a lot in this course. The presentation on the Move Over Law was very eye opening and allows us to view police officers as human beings. I would like to thank Provincial for making me a better driver and human being. Highly recommend going here.

Fantastic experience: Joe is an absolute gem! ✨ At Provincial Driving School, all the in-class information was presented in a way that I felt I could better understand and absorb what I needed to know while out on the road, all with a dose of wide grins and humor, to boot! From the videos, to the diagrams drawn on the board, as well as with the stories to help us really visualize the sort of things that we may encounter while out on the road, I now feel a lot more confident about my understanding of the rules and regulations that I as a driver must adhere to in regards to the Graduated Licensing system (and my full G license), as well as the things I should be watching out for. I look forward to partaking in the upcoming in-car lessons, but I've really enjoyed my time with the in-class lessons here at Provincial Driving School! ⭐

Fantastic experience:

Negative experience: Joe is very unprofessional. I texted him right after I booked the drive test if he can take me to do it, and he said yes. The night before my test, he texted me that his wife is going to take me instead of him, but will still use the same car. After I requested if she could arrive earlier since I want to be at the test center 30 minutes before the test, she thinks I am difficult and wouldn’t take me to the test! It’s the NIGHT BEFORE MY TEST! I have no idea how can this be happened! So he later arranged another instructor to take me to do the test. With a new car, a new instructor, I failed again. Oh yes, he will only text you one night before your test date, to tell you the details about your test. They charge 110$ for doing the test by using their car, but they will only take you to the test center 15 minutes before your test time. I wouldn’t recommend them.

Fantastic experience: Joe is a wonderful teacher and how they display driving school is very well you learn a great amount in only four days and makes a big awareness about how dangerous other drives can be on the road and I suggest a lot of people under 19 should take driving school before going for their g1 or g2.
