I have struggled in the past to connect with and learn from an instructor in an authentic and natural way, but that search ended attending my first lesson with Ray. Fantastic experience: I had a super smooth experience doing my G2 with Ray. He is very responsive and was able to schedule my lessons for the perfect time leading up to the exam. Fantastic experience: I highly recommend this company, Ray is a very nice guy. I was looking for a last minute refresher course for my G test, and Ray was nice enough to book one for me. I am always use to driving my way, but I needed to know the tips and tricks of what to look out for on my G test. I booked a 2 hour session on Thursday, had my test in the morning the next day, Friday. Passed. Be patient with his teaching style, I remember he kept telling me I wasn't doing the "5 second rule" on the highway even though I felt like I was doing it, so I kept counting fast in my head and did the mirror and speedometer check. It helps, because really that's what they look for on the test, even the examiner kept staring at me on the highway lol. I could go on and on about other areas in the test, but it's best to have Ray teach it. If you are looking for a quick refresher course, you'll be good for just 2 hours.

Fantastic experience: My G1 was going to expire in May 2024, and I of course put off doing the G2 road test. I decided to finally do this as a New Year resolution by hiring an instructor. I opted to go with North London Driving School, and I’m glad I made this decision!!! Rahman (Ray) created this school and is the main instructor, he trains almost all of his students. I originally thought I needed some private lessons on the road, but he suggested I go with one of the packages offered from his school. He made this suggestion because this would allow me to have access to online courses. I’m glad Ray steered me in this direction because I learned a lot of new things and I realized there’s a lot that I missed along the way. Ray doesn’t only teach his students how to pass the road tests, he teaches all of us (the students) life lessons because driving is a privilege and we tend to forget this. People’s lives are on the line when we’re behind the wheel and Ray ensures that all his students remember this. In terms of teaching, Ray is very knowledgeable, enthusiastic and is very hands on. For example, he would step out of the car to show and instruct me how and where I should park. Another thing, that sticks in my mind was when he gave me advice on driving that goes beyond the scope of the course during my first lesson with him. He wants all his drivers to be safe drivers. Ray is also patient and very respectful to his students. He’s a great teacher and cares for his students and wants all of us to pass. Negative experience: If you have no driving experience, don't go to him cuz he will waste your time and teach you nothing, then you will pay more money for longer training. I appointed for G2, he spent most of the time running around the city instead of teaching and reviewing actual techniques for 3 point turn, parallel parking and other programs in the test. He would discourage you repeatedly so you will be scared and agree to pay for more training hours. I learned little after 12 hours driving with him. I only did the mock test one time on one of the three routes. He didn't allow me to schedule the test, instead he scheduled it at 3:20 and said it's the best time, later I was informed by another instructor that it was rush hour and one of the worst time. Fortunately, I realized his tricks, turned down his request for 10 more hours of payment, and found another coach. Later I passed the test under the guidance of the second coach, who was also surprised firstly how little had I learned after that many hours. So, please open your eyes and choose carefully, he's probably not the worst choice if you have experience and only need one or two hours before the test, but if you are newcomer, find someone you are familiar with.
