Negative experience: General course was good and instructor good, but Management is bad I paid for 4 classes and dropped one clasess but administration said they gave back me for this unused class money back. already 2 months and they still did not refund me... if you pay for this driving classes NEVER pay advance. they never refund you.

Negative experience: I’m so disappointed by the lack of customer service from this driving school. I’ve had one instructor in particular just not show up twice with no cancellation or apology. The instructors and the school in general just do not pick up the phone. This time I called and booked an appointment 10 days in advance and even sent multiple message reminders and left voicemail reminders when the phone was not answered. On the day of my booked class I was finally able to get in touch and was told that the instructor had booked over me and would call me back. Upon receiving no call back I reached out again and was told that the instructor “could not accommodate me”. This is so highly unprofessional, your customers should not have to chase after you to ensure you show up to appointments and don’t randomly cancel on them. Please do better

Fantastic experience: Took my lessons in May 2023 and passed my test. Paul is amazing, very patient and nice. Very helpful when I made mistakes. I tried to obtain my certificate stating that I completed my lessons so I can submit to the registry for about 2 months and contacting the company was difficult. Paul purposely came to my house today and dropped off my certificate. Thank you!!!!

Negative experience: Paul is the most useless driving teacher I've ever had!! During my four hours of instruction, all he did was have me drop off his previous student and pick up his next one, and he taught me nothing!! Furthermore, he was on his phone practically the whole time and took a 20-minute break between lessons that he never made up for, as well as stopping my class 10 minutes early. I'm astonished by his mainly excellent ratings, and I'm assuming some of them are written by the school. If you are taking lessons with Paul, I recommend paying for each lesson rather than the entire cost on the first time.

Fantastic experience: I would like to talk about my experience with Apex. First I need to thank Kiran for all the attention and patience she had with me. I'm Brazilian and I'm still learning the English language and she managed to clarify everything for me before the driving lessons. I was Paul's student in driving class and I really want to thank him too because he's wonderful. He was careful and patient to walk me through all the steps for the road test. He was able to see where I needed to improve and train with me even more. Besides being able to calm down before taking the test. I can only thank Apex for this stage of my life here in Canada. Now, I'm a complete driver. Thank you Apex!

Negative experience: Very unprofessional. You contacted them with a date and time to start, they confirmed it but they never showed up. If you want to waste time, use their services. I wish I could give them zero star. They shouldn't be in business.

Fantastic experience: I applied for my class 5B from Apex. I took three lesson classes and my Instructor was Gurjent. He is very knowledgeable person, specially he let me use my own tricks to park parallel. He is also very much supportive. Apex provided me rental car for road test as well. Negative experience: I found both Paul and Kiran to be very unprofessional. Late pick up everytime! I lost 2 hours of driving as I needed to reschedule due to personal reasons. I was told I signed the contract that states lost of funds or lessons if I have to reschedule or cancel within 24 hours of the lessons but my lesson was booked within that 24 hours… Not patient with an anxious and nervous driver and only want to teach you what’s on the road test. During my first lesson with Paul we stopped in the parking lot by the registry office to take a “15 minute break". He got out to get his coffee and met up with his wife Kiran, who looked like she may have also been with a client. Early before that lesson he texted me asking if I could reschedule for later that day.. so clearly he had something else planned or booked around that time. Paul did my first couple of lessons then Kiran did my last two both gave different information and instructions which was confusing. . You should have one instructor for all lessons to make things less confusing. I felt Paul didn’t want to deal with me as I was upset about losing a lesson, so Kiran took over my last lessons. Both were always on there phones during the entire lessons. I’m still waiting to hear back so I can complete my online course and get my certification... and I'm sure after seeing this review, I'll never hear from them. Very poor customer service and not worth the ridiculous amounts of money

Fantastic experience: I had a great time at Apex driving school. I did my classes with various instructors but I think I learnt the most from Navjot. Her teaching style really matched my learning style and therefore I was able to pass my road test with her helpful tips and tricks. She teaches right of way concepts very well. Negative experience: Hello guys, I took classes with Kiranji, she is so calm, polite and good at tricks. But the way this classes works, will make you regret for choosing it bcs it will take a good amount money from your pockets. Won't recommend.

Fantastic experience: Paul was an incredible instructor and ensured to build my confidence during our lesson. He was very patient and it was evident that he genuinely wanted me to succeed. Throughout our lesson, he guided me about rules of the road and also helped improve my parking skills significantly. He went above and beyond with his teaching skills and it was his honest efforts that helped me pass the test. I would highly recommend Paul as a driving instructor.

Positive experience: I passed my drivers test the second try after taking 4 lessons with apex. I do not regret taking drivers training as it did help me build confidence and practice consistently enough to take the test. I had two instructors, the first being paul who I actually felt very nervous driving with. He talked to me in a condensending way, and made me feel dumb when I would make mistakes. He also did not answer me when I asked for a certificate or receipt when I finished my training. The second instructor who's name I unfortunately forgot, was very very nice, kind and encouraging. I am thankful for their help but feel Paul and the school itself could be a bit more professional with a few things. Thank you for your help. I do recommend but be aware you wont receive a receipt or certificate.

Instructor Kiran was Calm, friendly, professional, very patient, flexible with timings and always punctual. She is highly experienced and provides good driving and parking tips using her personalized step by step technique which is very easy to remember and hard to forget. She instills a high level of confidence among the learners and encourages them to take the driving test as soon as she feels confident in the learners driving abilities and does not unnecessarily push for extra classes. Fantastic experience: ***First attempt cleared ROAD TEST*** I would highly recommend Mr. Gurjant and Mr. Paul from Apex Driving School. Both the instructors were excellent & very courteous, their body language, explanation and technique were outstanding. Mr. Gurjant motivated me that i can pass my Class 5 GDL in first attempt and i did today on 19th July 2021 with McKnight Registry. I took most of my classes with Mr. Gurjant, he understood my situation/schedule and managed to schedule class timmings accordingly, he kept faith in my driving skills and corrected me very positively for my mistakes, he also tipped me with the common mistakes and his parking techniques work ! Overall it was an excellent experience and money worth spending educating yourself before pursuing road test. Drove Honda Civic and Toyota Camry from driving school for the lessons and Camry for the exam. PS - I wasn't paid for this review, this is just one of my hobby, readers can review my profile.

Being new to Calgary, I had the impression that the traffic/parking rules here were more complicated. But being guided by my driving instructor Kiran, who was very patient, professional and knowledgeable, I built up my confidence to give the test sooner and she also taught me the tips and tricks in parking which I did not known before. Classes were great but it’s like after the class the instructor forgets about u. hard to get in contact with my instructor, she’s way too busy to keep up quality service. late replies, never got a receipt, didn’t get my driving class certificate either?

Fantastic experience: My experience at Apex Driving School was amazing. The driving instructor KIRAN I had was very friendly and understanding. Her encouraging character made it fun to drive. I recommend this driving school to everyone.

Negative experience: I was planning on signing my daughter up for driving lessons with this company, based on the good reviews. I used their online tool to register, but then I had some questions, so gave them a call. A woman answered, with a child crying in the background. I was sure I had the wrong number, but no, it was Apex. I was told that I would have to call back if I wanted to book classroom time, even though I wanted to do it right then. I was then told that I would have to pay a $100 deposit and they would only accept an etransfer, not a credit card. She asked for my cell number so she could text me the email to send the etransfer to. 2 days later, I still had no information, so I called back and got voicemail. Left a message. 2 more days went by, so I called again and once again got voicemail. I cancelled my daughter's lessons and went somewhere else. Apex obviously did not want my business. I don't know how they can run a company when they can't take the time to communicate with a potential customer.

Negative experience: We paid for 10 hours of lessons at 50$ an hour and the gf ended up getting pregnant and wasnt able to drive for a while. We tried to start the driving lessons up where we left off. There was 3 or 4 lessons remaining and they decided not to honor them. They said after 6 months any unused lessons expire. Customer service at its finest.

Fantastic experience: I had my test booked for mid august and was easily able to receive help from an available instructor. I had Kiran and she was so wonderful!! she wasn't pushy, very communicative and overall her calm attitude made me more comfortable driving and within the short week that I took lessons (8hrs) I was able to pass my exam the day after. Negative experience: So rules of the road don't apply to you? Your car, driven by a young woman, cut me off while changing lanes today at southbound 36street N.E. and she didn't bother to apologize. I had to brake hard to prevent an accident. She did it knowingly. So you have reckless driver-instructors (no, it wasn't being driven by a student). Wonder what kind of drivers would your students turn out to be? If you have such instructors in your school, kindly remove your sign from the cars when not instructing, so that at least your business is saved a bad name.

Positive experience: Very good teaching overall (parallel is taught through 3 step process, uphill/downhill parking is covered extensively). Had issues with how instructor would ask to drive to Tim Horton's to grab a coffee/washroom break during a specified 2 hour lesson. Also, did not teach parking in a normal parking lot. The instructor is kind and patient but often just looks at his phone. Don't be nervous, they're understanding + will highlight what you did wrong and ask you to reflect. You'll easily pass your first driving test with this school.
