We did an session of 1.5 hrs and he taught me everything in detail, teaching how to respond to real life situations and be smooth as a driver. Fantastic experience: Stan is super easy going. His love for cars is contagious I had an easy time learning to drive manual with him. 90 mins is definitely enough to learn it. But like other reviewers mentioned, you are gonna have to practice it to feel confident with stick driving. I mean most people don't learn how to drive automatic after 1 class either so that should make sense right? Also you'll get much more out of the class if you know how to drive automatic already :)

Fantastic experience: I have been trying to learn stick for s couple years now, I’ve had at least 5 different people try and teach me and after countless amounts of hours all have failed. I heard about gtastick and decided to give it a try and can honestly say I had the best experience I could have gotten. The driving instructor Stan, is thee best. I took his 2 hour course for maximum time behind the wheel and left with more than I could have asked for in just 1 lesson. He understands the instructing role very well, he is very friendly, easy going and calm. He knows how to explain everything you need to know very efficiently and keeps it as simple as possible. If you’re looking to learn I highly recommend taking his lesson, I wouldn't say I left a professional because nobody will be on the first time, practice makes perfect. However I can say I am confident enough to get in the driver seat and take on the open road after just 1 lesson.

Fantastic experience: I'm buying my first manual and decided to use Stick GTA. I had Stan as my instructor and it was a wonderfully crafted lesson. Getting the appointment was extremely simple, no more than a minute on the phone. We spent a good chunk of time on clutch work and stopping and starting. Stan was extremely patient and explained concepts in a very clear and concise manner. He gave lots of very useful tips and had a very practical and realistic approach to his curriculum. The car was clean and very nice. This is the best option for those who already have their licenses and want to learn stick. Would recommend 100%!

Fantastic experience: StickGTA is the BEST option for learning to drive manual! Other driving schools are less flexible, more expensive and they try to sell you on packages. Stan (the instructor) is a phenomenal teacher who is patient and honest, and was able to teach me and my partner in just 2 2-hour lessons (1-hour of driving per person each lesson; both of us in the car during the lessons so we could learn faster together). Trust me, I've looked into multiple options - called and asked questions - and Stan at StickGTA is the only one I'd recommend.

Fantastic experience: Booked my appt over week ago with Stan over the phone. Honestly did not know what to expect. It was a great experience since I never really taken a training course. At the end of the session, I was able to drive on the main surrounding roads. Stan explained the various scenarios and let you practice right afterwards. Given that this was the first time I touched standard in over 30 years, I think another practice lesson and I should be all set :)

Stan was so approachable through out the process and he even got out of his way to book me a different instructor as I was only available on weekends. Subrina is such an amazing instructor. Fantastic experience: As a car enthusiast, I obviously noticed the wrx immediately. I am so pleased to see someone created this business as the manual driving community is depleting fast in North America now a days. By sitting and watching- I can only assume that this instructor is amazing. The learner driver was shifting/ taking off almost perfectly with maybe a couple of stalls and bumpy take offs from what I witnessed. Obviously you can only take this review as a a grain of salt but I just needed to praise them for being out there for people who want to learn but don’t have someone to teach them

Clear instructions and he was very patient with me, despite being my first time driving a manual. I'm a much better at it now thankfully. I only did a 60min lesson with him but I would recommend 90-120mins to really grasp the concept.

Fantastic experience: I did a 90min lesson with Stan because I was going to Europe and the rental car was going to be manual. Stan teaches very well and gives a lot of helpful tips (some that my friends who drive manual don’t even know). I confidently drove in Europe in chaotic cities (Amsterdam, Brussels, Germany etc..). Never had to worry about stalling or rolling back on a hill etc…

Fantastic experience: I had Stan teach me back in Sept 2022, and it was an excellent time spent learning the basic fundamentals of driving a stick shift car. The biggest thing with Stan was the patience and calmness he brought when letting me learn throughout the lesson. Even though I didn't touch a manual transmission car since getting a new car in May 2023, I was able to recall a lot of the basics he had taught in order for me to drive from the dealership to the auto detail shop that first drive, granted with a few expected stalls. As long as you do not expect to be a professional at driving stick by the end of a single lesson, Stan is an excellent choice if you are wanting to learn how to drive a manual transmission vehicle.
