ProRIDE Motorcycle Training

Fantastic experience: We signed up at the end of the season, and though sign up was meant to be closed ProRIDE honored their commitment and arranged our private lessons. Ben came out on a cold late November morning and set up, working us through the curriculum over the many hours that followed. He was brilliant and we learned a ton. Though we have ridden off road for many years, the on road lessons we learned were invaluable. I never knew how much I didn't know about street riding, tips, suggestions and all around providing us with a skill set for city/street riding. Not a doubt in my mind Ben saved us and our bikes from accidents. Really truly a fantastic course. At the end of the day, Ben, a certified ICBC tester, oversaw our MST, allowing us to prepare for our road test. Thank you Ben, and ProRIDE, for everything we learned. Fantastic experience: I’m almost completing the full survival course at ProRide, leaving the mockup riding test for the beginning of the next season. I had two classes of theory and another two of practical skills with Carol. Carol was very attentive and technical about the subject that was taught. The content of the theory classes is essential to anyone starting to ride and the parking lot skill classes were very fun and at the same time clarifying, and that gave me the confidence to pass the skill test easily. The traffic classes I took were with Marcel and again with Carol. Both were with different weather conditions and traffic situations/difficulties, and were done in a way that gave me a really good base of what I would need riding by myself latter. I’m sure the mock test will help as well with my preparation when it is time, and I’m looking forward to it! I very recommend ProRide to anyone who wants to learn how to ride, to have a good theory base and a technical and safe practical experience!

Fantastic experience: I signed up my son for their survival riding course. My son liked every instructor that taught him both in the classroom and the parking lot. He said the instructors are very patient and treated every student with respect and care. The instructors shared their riding knowledge and experience in a friendly learning environment. From a parent's perspective, the booking was easy and communication about the course location and time was clear and concise. Highly recommend them to other families that have young riders just starting their journey.

Fantastic experience: I took the ProRide premium course. I had Carol for classroom instruction, Ben for the parking lot stuff, and Kevin for the traffic classes and the mock road test, and all were very good. It would be difficult to pass the ICBC road test without taking a course; you not only need to learn how to ride a motorcycle, you also need to learn the idiosyncrasies of the ICBC road test. I took the mock road test with Kevin a few days before my ICBC road test, found out what I was doing wrong, and then passed the ICBC test on the first try.

Fantastic experience: in 2019, Lionel Grannis & Carol Fedor taught me how to swerve in an emergency situation, amongst many other things. was that ever helpful! recently, i had to apply that learning on i-5 in seattle & that skill saved my life. sincerely thanks to Lionel & Carol for being such great instructors to me

Fantastic experience: Just completed the ProRIDE 4 day group course. Can’t say enough good things about the instruction and outline. Christopher is a fantastic instructor and orator in the class room and then the combination of both he and Ben during the parking lot practical portion were awesome. Very clear and professional while remaining relatable. Well worth doing. Couldn’t imagine getting to what I know and can do now on my own. Nice assortment of bikes to ride/try as well as a big traffic free parking lot to train in. I am already planning on returning for some advanced training next summer.

The Canlan Sports parking lot was an ideal location for our training, offering plenty of shade from the trees on sunny hot days.

Fantastic experience: Riding a motorcycle in Vancouver can be a daunting task, but ProRide eased my fears and allowed me to become more confident in my skills!! Carol was amazing in the classroom and taught us very well, her teaching style is informative and well-detailed, and she keeps it fun!! Shoutout to Chris and Sven in the parking lot for being incredible mentors, we got the Renfrew-Hastings lot for our lot portion and though it was extremely hot for early July, it was informative and I learned a lot! With their mentorship, I feel ready for the road! Honda Groms are incredible learning bikes, and I feel ready to transfer those skills I learned to my "new to me" Yamaha R3! I still have a mock test and 3 student rides to go, and I am looking forward to those soon!! Thank you ProRide!!

Fantastic experience: I am a self-taught experienced rider, but have not ridden since the early 80’s. Getting back into it and thought it best to take a course to learn about all my bad habits and learn a few new things. This course was exactly what what I needed. It is amazing how your skills diminish and your balance is definitely not what it used to be when you are pushing 60. Christopher taught both our classroom and parking lot portion. He was concise and made sure that everyone was keeping up by checking in often. We had various skills in our group and he seemed to make everyone comfortable with their personal progress. Sven assisted with the parking lot portion only. He is not only a good motorcycle instructor, but also a fantastic teacher overall. He has studied the science of learning and seems to know what the student is thinking and how they are feeling at all times. He tailors his instruction accordingly. Both guys are super passionate about riding, but are even more passionate about making sure that their students are learning and enjoying equally. I cannot speak highly enough about the program, but especially the two instructors. I am a former instructor trainer for vehicles and trucks from the next province over and am used to be very critical of instructors for evaluation and learning purposes. I did not tell the instructors about my past as I wanted the full student experience and that is exactly what I received from these two great motorcycle mentors! Thanks guys….keep up the good work. You do the motorcycle community proud.

Fantastic experience: I have done the MSA course and Traffic rides with them and it was an incredible experience! I was never pushed beyond my comfort, I chose the bike I wanted to start on with advice from the instructors. They were so supportive and encouraging the whole way and make sure to check in with you so you are never feeling overwhelmed or unsafe. I will be coming back for advanced courses!!

Fantastic experience: everything technical thing i know about motorcycles have been from pro-ride/e11even, from the parking lot training to the maintenance classes. i owe it all to the kindest bunch of instructors i have ever had the pleasure of being mentored. i don't have anyone in my family that rides so everything i did was for the first time and as nerve racking as that was, it was a joy that pro-ride/e11even had been beside me for it. i am not the easiest person to teach anything to as i question everything but at the same time go silent and never know the right questions to ask. but i got my full moto licence within only 2 months of riding! passed with a single note - "great control!" ps. it was an absolute honour having dj teach the maintenance class using my bike! thank you! carol, ben, kevin, dj (and benny), and everyone else at pro-ride/e11even, thank you for getting me here! the bike life has already been so rewarding and it's only my first season. ☺️

Fantastic experience: I had Christopher and Lionel and they were the best instructors I could have possibly asked for. They offered me valuable personalized feedback that was incredibly helpful. If they can take me, someone who's never touched a motorcycle before and have me pass the MSA then they can do it with you as well. I would highly recommend anyone who either doesn't know how to ride or hasn't ridden in a while to give this course a shot.

Fantastic experience: I signed up for Pro Rides 1 on 1 training program with the included MST. Carol was excellent in the class took in all questions and was extremely fun to be around. Christopher was my parking lot instructor and he was awesome I learned quite a bit of techniques and low speed skills. He was always paying attention to my technique and was quick to correct any mistakes I was making. Overall my experience was 5/5 and I recommend anyone that is learning to ride or wants to learn join there survival rider program that would teach you from the ground up. Fantastic experience: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I recently completed the motorcycle driving course at ProRIDE and had an outstanding experience! The program included two nights of theory classes and two days of practical training in the parking lot. Carol, the instructor for the theory sessions, was both fun and incredibly knowledgeable, making the learning process engaging and enjoyable. The practical training was led by Matt and Ben. Matt brought a great sense of humor to the sessions, which helped keep the atmosphere light and enjoyable. Ben, on the other hand, was more strict, ensuring we all paid attention to the finer details of riding safely and effectively. The combination of their teaching styles worked perfectly. The two-day training was intense but incredibly rewarding. Despite the occasional heavy rain making it tougher, it also prepared us for riding in adverse conditions. By the end of the course, I felt confident and well-prepared for the Motorcycle Skill Assessment. Thanks to ProRIDE's systematic and comprehensive training, most students, including myself, were able to pass with ease. I highly recommend ProRIDE to anyone looking to learn how to ride a motorcycle safely and confidently!

Fantastic experience: I highly highly recommend this course if you've never ridden before or even if you have but are rusty. Lionel and Christopher were very friendly and didn't f--- around when it came to calling you out on mistakes that can cost you your life on the real road.

Fantastic experience: After years of wishing I had could ride a motorcycle, I finally took the step to get myself there and I couldn't be happier with the group I chose. I was blessed to end up with Carol - she will keep you engaged, laughing, and learning from the second you meet her, to the bittersweet moment of "graduating" from the course. We were also honored to have had Mat for the parking lot portion, who was also incredibly humours and had very helpful tips and feedback. These 2 made sure you were comfortable, but willing to push you out of your comfort zone, took the time to answer any and all questions thoroughly, ensured we kept safety as our main thought, and again, kept it all super fun with lots of laughs. It was incredible for 95% of the class to not have ever ridden a motorcycle before, to all of us being able to comfortably ride every bike they had sitting out for us in a matter of 12 hours split into 2 days. I will 120% be recommending ProRIDE to anyone that is looking to get into riding. Looking forward to taking the traffic rides and advanced course! Hope to see you guys on the track someday

Fantastic experience: Couldn't recommend this course more. Christopher made what would normally be a very dry evening class (6:30-10:30) bearable, and he and Lionel were great training instructors. I was able to pass the MSA without ever having driven a motorcycle before the weekend, and I passed my MST on the first try.

Negative experience: Receptionist was not helpful, could not answer simple questions like how much for a 1v1 lesson, road test booking and bike rental fee. Please increase your level of service. Thank you.

Fantastic experience: Just finished my training with HellaRider (women only Div of ProRide). Carol was an excellent teacher! She is very knowledgeable and very patient with her students. She was also very supportive when it came time to do my MST. In-class teacher Kevin has a great sense of humour. Would definitely recommend HellaRider to any women looking to learn to ride in a relaxed environment.

Fantastic experience: I recently completed the Survival Rider course at ProRIDE and had an amazing experience. The parking lot training was top-notch and incredibly useful. With my riding experience from India, Lionel and Ben took note and tailored the training to make it more challenging. They pointed out things I never noticed myself. Being able to try different motorcycles is a rare opportunity that sets ProRIDE apart from other schools. When it came to the actual MSA, it was a breeze thanks to their thorough preparation. I received personalized feedback and had all my questions answered. And to honor Lionel's joke, I want to give a special shoutout to Lionel, Ben, and Kevin (in that order) for their excellent instruction and making this course a truly memorable experience. We had Christopher and Carol as our class instructors. The parking lot section was really helpful and even though our class was much bigger, the instructors did a really good job in managing everything and giving individual feedback/assistance to everyone. Lionel and Ben were a lot of fun in the parking lot, and all the instructors gave valuable information and helped everyone. They made us feel comfortable to get started from just getting on the bike, to life-saving emergency manueovers. I definitely recommend this place to anyone wanting to learn how to ride a motorcycle. We got the premium package and we can't wait for our road classes!

Fantastic experience: This course was worth every penny. I learned so many essential and useful riding skills that I know will make me a smarter and safe rider. I really liked that we were given the time to do each maneuver so many times with Carol giving us immediate feedback. I like the small group dynamic. Fantastic experience: Amazing experience learning to ride with the ProRIDE crew. Carol was awesome for our classroom portion, and stellar instruction from Warren and Chris for our skills training. I was super nervous getting on a bike for the first time but I left feeling pretty pumped to get my own bike, and am obviously much more confident now even with just two days of skills training ❤️ looking forward to some road rides with these guys!

Before you even get on a bike, there were 2 days of theory talking about the handling and road safety. Carol did a great job covering the classroom part. On the lot, Ben and Christopher are amazing instructors with their patience, professionalism and humour. Overall, the course not only taught me how to ride, but introduced me to a very welcoming community. Fantastic experience: Decided to learn how to ride a motorcycle after thinking about it for so many years. Went from absolute noob to comfortably able to ride around the parking lot and passing the MST test in three days (1 day classroom 2 day on motorcycle). Ben is such a great instructor and is there to guide you through any problem you may encounter during the process. Def recommend!

Fantastic experience: Completed a Survival Rider Training 4-day course with Pro-ride and it was excellent! The classroom portion was informative (with Kevin and Ryan), but I think where the course really kicked in was the two days of closed parking lot low-speed training. Fantastic for anyone who has no motorcycle experience, or some, as the skills start from the very beginning; balance, clutching, braking, steering, low speed turns, U-turns, emergency stops and more. My first parking lot day was rain all day long. But, Instructor Christopher's enthusiasm, energy and feedback more than made up for the weather! Highly recommended!

Fantastic experience: I just successfully completed my MSA with ProRIDE today (2023-10-22). This is my experience: Kevin and Brian were both very knowledgeable, engaging, dynamic and funny. I loved the fact that they brought the textbook and slide materials to life by sharing their own personal riding scenarios/experiences (awesome). But the best was yet come, with Christopher for the parking lot portion of the course. To me, Christopher is not only knowledgeable, but also very disciplined. He struck me as a very laser-focused, dedicated individual who genuinely wants to ensure his students have the knowledge and skills to remain safe on the road. It’s evident that he not only takes pride is career, but that he also genuinely cares for his students. In closing, great team, great school - thank you!

Fantastic experience: Amazing instructors, great road safety tips and tricks with very applicable drills. They really focus on how to properly handle the bike in life saving scenarios on top of offering a great foundation of simply riding. Another bonus was tons of different kinds of motorcycles to experiment with! A course like this is a must for anyone looking at getting into riding.

Fantastic experience: Awesome experience with Chris/Kevin in the classroom and Warren/Kevan in the parking lot. As a returning rider who hadn’t been on a bike in 15 years, the survival course was super helpful in getting my confidence / skills back. All of the instructors were patient, skilled, encouraging, & actively sought feedback in terms of how they were teaching us ie) asking if there was anything more they could do to help us grasp a concept or if they should explain something differently. Also got lots of practice singing Barbie girl to chill out on the bike . Highly recommend

Fantastic experience: I can’t imagine a better, more well-rounded experience than what ProRide provides. The classroom sessions with Instructor Kevin provide you with solid theory and no-nonsense safety info that helps you make better decisions before and during your time riding a motorcycle. The parking lot training with Ben, Carol and Christopher gives you real-world experience and plenty of practice time. They nearly over-prepare you for the MSA, which is great because you leave with more skills than you thought possible. Another bonus is that you get the opportunity to try many different bikes and find what you enjoy the most. All of the instructors are patient, knowledgeable and very generous with their time. They are detailed-oriented and accommodate everyone—and that’s not an easy task! Thanks again to everyone at ProRide — I can’t wait to book my traffic sessions and mock road test!

Fantastic experience: Went here and passed the test first try! Went from being able to ride a bicycle to comfortably countersteering and going faster in a couple short days. Fantastic experience: Both the practical and theoretical portions of the course were well designed to teach you everything, from no knowledge of anything to do with a motorcycle, to having the knowledge and skills to ride one safely and confidently. All the instructors were fantastic and enthusiastic and very knowledgeable. Even on one of the hottest days of the summer, they were very professional and friendly and gave us all the opportunity to stay well hydrated through good break management. Anybody wanting to learn how to ride a motorcycle or even shaking off some old dust of skills that were long forgotten, this course would be great for everyone. Highly recommend.

Fantastic experience: Carol was an amazing instructor. She conducted my MST and prepped me for my road test which I passed successfully. Carol took the time to make sure I knew every maneuver that I would need not only for the test but for actual riding. Everything I learned on my MST such aa emergency braking, u-turns, etc I used within days of hitting the road. I have ridden approximately 4000km since taking my MST. Today I received my full 6 and I owe that to the help and support Carol provided. Thank you Hella Rider. You are the only school I would recommend.

Fantastic experience: I just completed the riding safety course at the business. I had never ridden before and was extremely nervous coming into class. However, Christopher put me at ease and was extremely knowledgeable. We were taught life saving information as well as skills to be safe on the road. Fantastic experience: Highly recommended. ProRide offers a great set of courses with knowledgable instructors who are enthusiastic about riding and that care about teaching you what you need to be safe on the road and enjoy motorcycling (and to get your license). I signed up with ProRide to get back on a bike after many years (20+) of not riding. I rode daily for several years when I was younger and expected the course to help me get back on two wheels without having my own bike but I learned so much more than I was expecting. This type of training is exactly what every rider should have to set them up with good habits from the start.

Fantastic experience: Completed the ProRIDE Survival Training Course today, and what a excellent experience for a new rider. Carol, Ben and Christoper are all excellent instructors. I wasn't sure what to expect in the two theory days in the classroom, but I was surprised by how much I learned. Christopher's technical knowledge is excellent and he made what could have been a really dry topic a lot of fun. The two on-bike days with Carol and Ben were also great. They both have such calm personalities and their teaching style is very respectful. No yelling at mistakes, just laughing, coaching and encouragement. I still have a lot to learn, but at least I know what I need the proper way to ride and what to practive. I'm looking forward to the traffic session. I highly recommend ProRIDE.

Fantastic experience: I did their basic package, their classroom theory was great. Came weekend and the course in the parking lot was fabulous very informative, consistent and overall a great experience that led me to pass my MSA first try.

Fantastic experience: Took the Survival Rider Training - even though I have been riding for quite a few years, the course helped improve my skills and habits. Kevin was funny and witty, making what otherwise would be a dry and boring classroom session into something informative and entertaining. Christopher was equally funny and also a very good riding instructor - he helped correct some bad habits and provided some good insight and pointers to improve my riding. All in all 5 stars and highly recommended!

Fantastic experience: My parter and I took the ProRIDE motorcycle class in July and this week we both passed our road test on the first try! I never rode a motorcycle before and the guys at ProRIDE were so encouraging and great teachers. Now i feel comfortable riding anywhere in any traffic. Fantastic experience: For beginners and rusty riders alike, ProRIDE is an excellent motorcycle training school to learn riding skills. They call it survival skills. The course begins with a two-day theory class followed by two days of motorcycle riding lessons where students learn both slow and fast riding. You are tested for the ICBC MST on the second day, and if you pass the next day, you are instructed on how to ride in traffic. We had excellent instructors. Their demonstrations and words constantly guided me and others towards correct skills and techniques, always in a kind, calm manner. My sincere thanks go out to Ryan, Mat, Calvin, and Warren for their efforts in helping me become a better rider.

Fantastic experience: We had an unusual experience which had us withdraw from the first night and ProRIDE did not just empathize with our situation and give us a full refund but they referred us to their competition as it worked better for us. You guys are a class act. My son is licenced and riding hours a day! My eldest is looking at a Fall class and or Spring 2023 and maybe I'll join him!

I took the Survival rider Off peak, they taught us the theory and the practical tactics to be a safe rider! Fantastic experience: I completed my training with ProRIDE in 2015 and was super impressed with the course, the instructors and their delivery of course materials. The practice time with different types of motorcycles was great as well as the practice rides which really helped solidify what you have learned and what to expect for your road test. I feel this course should be mandatory for anyone wanting to get their motorcycle license. I would highly recommend ProRIDE to other people wanting to experience riding motorcycles. The course gave me confidence and taught me to be a safe rider.

If you think you can not afford this course then, you can not afford riding a motorcycle. This guys have created a system that will take you step by step of how to safely ride a motorcycle and pass the tests you need tin order to have your license.
