Fantastic experience: I had never used a forklift before and decided to switch to a career where I'd need to use one. Nathan and the team at Work Safe are AMAZING. The theory and practical training is top tier and they take the time to work with you to make sure you understand everything. The principles of safe operation that you are taught become habits and really helped me when I went to learn a new machine at my new job. I highly recommend using Work Safe for your forklift certification.

Negative experience: Not a training facility. They talk for two min and if u can't drive the machine after that they send u home. Do not come here thinking u will be trained. They don't get the training aspect that's for sure. I saw two people get sent home because they were uncomfortable with their first lap or two. ITS NOT TRAINING. They don't understand that we need practice to get used to the machine and that cannot be accomplished with one lap around. They do not make it comfortable for you. They don't get the training aspect for some reason. It's like paying for a car instructor and when u pull out the driveway wrong they send u home lol. NOT TRAINING. They will stop someone after their first lap and explain for ten min all this philosophy on driving but then u try again after the loooonnnnng lecture directed at an individual to just let them go another 10 feet and will be stopped again and usually kicked out. NOT TRAINING. They are not that intelligent when it comes to actually training someone. I bit my tongue a lot when I witnessed this behaviour from staff. I was a supervisor on many of my jobs and these guys really don't get the training aspect. PEOPLE NEED TO BE ABLE TO MAKE MISTAKES AND THE OPPORTUNITY TO ACTUALLY DRIVE THE MACHINE AND GET USED TO IT. THEY DO NOT LET U GET USED TO OPERATING THE MACHINES. EITHER U KNOW IT OR UR GONE BEFORE U CAN GET USED TO IT. NO TRAINING REALLY. Don't let them bully u. U paid for this training if they can't put in the time to properly let u get used to the machine THEN THIS IS PURELY A MONEY GRAB, GET AS MANY PEOPLE IN AND OUT AS FAST AS POSSIBLE IS WHAT IT LOOKS LIKE. NOOOOOL REAL TRAINING. BE CAREFUL. Oh and the receptionist wow lol she is always coming to the back when she hears something. She is just seething at the mouth to be able to throw someone out. If u hit anything no matter how small it is she is there just waiting for those sounds to come and kick u out. I've seen the people they let pass, they are not good enough. I myself passed the course BUT WITH ALL HONESTY I AM NOT COMFORTABLE OR CONFIDENT OPERATING A FORKLIFT. I NEED MUCH MORE TIME ON THE MACHINES TO EVEN FEEL REMOTELY COMPETENT BEHIND THE WHEEL. I PASSED BUT I DO NOT HAVE THE CONFIDENCE TO SAFELY OPERATE THESE MACHINES. NOWHERE CLOSE DO I FEEL CONFIDENT. WE ALL NEED TIME MORE TIME BEHIND THE WHEEL. NOT LECTURES. I just edited this review and would like to thank them for proving my point. Notice the response says practice. There is no practice. That's the point. Thanks again for proving my point for everyone to see.

I failed their exam today and was treated rudely by the trainer because he was angry or busy training others, I don’t know. I have three years of work experience and wanted to feel like a failure because I didn't train with him it seems

This is David Veltri- just graduated with honours with counter-balance forklift license- haha This was my first time and I gotta admit i was a bit nervous and a little skeptical as there are alot of training centre’s to choose from different reviews and such but im glad i chose WorkSafe! Nathan my man- thank you and the team for everything you showed and told me today! I promise i will keep the steps going! Wont forget about them as they are amazing tips and suggestions on how to approach any obstacle while keeping safety in mind. I do like the activity “keep your eyes on me” haha it does the trick and makes you feel more with the forklift than anything- obviously first time jitters but you get comfortable real quick and working as a team and support each other throughout the training helps alot! They are really professional in terms of training experienced and non experienced guys. Especially people like me who drove all the forklift types for first time needs to have a exceptional trainer, which was Nathan! I got my license for Narrow Isle reach, Order picker, Walkie & Counter Balance. Nathan was really patient with the first timers, he invested good amount of time training us on how to be a pro driver.
