Joe taught the class with passion and understanding, my driving classes were with Harmeet who is a magnificent teacher. I struggled with almost all aspects but Harmeet never gave up on me and worked tirelessly, and today all my hard work paid off as I got my class one licence. Jonas is a nice man who is very hands on. It has been a privilege to get to know him. I hands down recommend this school 100% If you want to get your class one. It’s very flexible and they work on your time line. Fantastic experience: I want to extend a special warm thank you to RAJINDER SINGH. He taught me how to complete an under the hood inspection and how to name every part of the engine, which is necessary for passing the exam. RAJINDER was also very thoughtful and meticulous when it came to coupling and uncoupling trailers. He was very patient and explained to all students how to complete steps quickly and efficiently. He was also my classroom, instructor and responsible for teaching, Alberta motor, transportation and federal Rules and regulations. Most importantly, RAJINDER was also responsible for teaching me how to upshift and downshift a manual transmission, which is arguably the most challenging part of successfully completing the course and passing the driving test. Overall, I have nothing but respect and I am appreciative for his efforts, kind attitude, and wonderful sense of humor. He’s an awesome guy, hard-working, dedicated, and a repository of practical and useful knowledge. 10/10 Thanks Raj

Positive experience: Not really any complaints, great instructors, I had the pleasure of working with 4 different instructors, there were times I was frustrated, confused, and even completely lost, not once did I have such a moment with Raj, in the end I chose all my remaining sessions with him. He is very meticulous about everything and the best at what he does, always made sure that I 100% understood what I was saying, doing, and looking at. Extremely competent and takes safety and his work very seriously, yet his approach to teaching is very easy going, he understands this is our first time and we are not as skilled as an instructor, does not make things complicated or confusing, for example I did pre trip for 4 days 4hrs each and I had next to no clue what I was being told to say or what I was really looking at, or what the parts I was saying were which, and one day with Raj and my pre trip was on point and my back up was next to perfect, he gave me all the motivation, confidence, and knowledge I needed throughout my training and in all aspects of my learning, I used all of Raj’s teachings and techniques to the best I could and I passed on my first try all thanks solely to him, I can’t thank him enough for all his help and his patience during my teaching, great guy over all and hands down an excellent teacher. Fantastic experience: I just finished my class 1 training and passed my road test today! Mike was incredibly helpful when it came to scheduling and rescheduling as needed. I has Jas as an instructor for my air brakes course, passed the test the next day at the registry… & I had Andre for the 40.5hr classroom portion of MELT and also passed that test again the next day upon completion. I then had, Karen & Joseph for instructors for the driving portion and I went from zero experience driving a big truck, and next to no manual experience to passing my test in a manual! I am so grateful to have been able to do my program through this school and I am looking forward to my future for the first time in a long time. Thanks guys!

Negative experience: I didn't take any driving instructions from this company and probably wouldn't after what I saw. I'm just curious if you also teach your students how to drive down Stoney at 120kph, and couldn't even slow down for the 60kph slow down for workers working. The person was driving a car and thank god not a big truck. Guess they were in a hurry to get to Signal Hill. Wish I didn't have to give a star.

Negative experience: I didn't feel that it was worth it paying them too much money,I fails because of the roundabout that the guy I paid for teaching me only told me to sign right/ sign left everytime I was about to get in to a roundabout I said I don't understand how I have to do for the test and he never explained me , besides he was touching me leg often wgat make me feel so uncomfortable he was from Nepal something like that...that was disgusting

Positive experience: I had a literal chuckle when I saw that it was the elderly instructor driving by himself in the Prius and going 65km/h in a 50km/h residential zone. The cherry on top was the cigar he was smoking. Whilst a funny sight, not very professional in my humble opinion.

Fantastic experience: Overall, good experience. Joseph, Karen and Mike were very helpful in many ways. Any questions I had were answered quickly and clearly. They made sure to remind me of any steps I needed to take before booking my road test, along with many helpful tips. I felt well prepared after only 10 hours training in a truck for class 3. Road test passed on the first attempt.

Fantastic experience: Recently finished my Class 1 Melt program at this school. All of the instructors are top-notch. Karen was my instructor most of the time and was very knowledgeable in her teachings. Wendel is strict on what he teaches but strives to make you a safer driver and prepare you for your exam, Gary explains backing in great detail to help you understand. Was with the other instructors a couple times and they were all great. Office staff are friendly and easy to get along with. Will work to your schedule to the best of their ability. Also will push Alberta Transporration for additional tests to try and get you in and out with as little of delay as possible le

Fantastic experience: Really happy with all my training. I had Carl for my in class training and that was absolutely wonderful he explained everything very nicely and I really enjoyed that. And for the driving I had mainly Wendel but I also had Gary, Karen, and Raj, very great instructors willingly explain everything and are always ready to answer questions. I haven't had any of the other instructors but they are all amazing and all Have a sense of humor which makes it way more fun overall. And of course I can't forget about Mike, every time I called he greeted me in the nicest manner and he always did his absolute best to get you in whenever he could. Negative experience: This is a business nothing more. I used a truck for my class 3 road test. But wasn't aloud to start it for my pre trip. The owner doesn't even have his class 1. Your response is to try and save face. Which I understand, but your clients have chosen you out of necessity. As there is a high demand for the class 1 licenses

Negative experience: The owner Jonas conducted by classes. It was beyond disappointing. He just kept reading the slides without explaining. He did not even bring enough booklets for everyone to the class. When students asked him questions his reply would be to take a picture and google it. Then the instructor for the in-car training did not show up and didn't bother to inform me.

Negative experience: 0/5 stars, I'm student from Ballad group (DBTW program) i don't know how it's 4.7/5 on Google ok...buying Google reviews. Terrible school i did my whole class 1 course there, came out of air-brake with 0 knowledge. I never drove big Vehicles before, I was scheduled for 2 hours I arrived to the school yard and was waiting then and Me and owner took the Mechanic in his mini-Van Drove where is The DOT was Stopping Trucks for Checks on Glenmore Trail East bound Close to the Grey eagle Casino and the Trailer had a Crack in the frame on the right side back door. and All of the sudden I was told to Drive with the Trailer back to the school (Never driven a Tractor-trailer before) It felt so uncomfortable and Extremely unsafe, and just drove back to the Jonas school yard total Driving was about 35min, then went Home. Plus Scheduling is so bad 90% of the time 1hr/1.5hr/2hr. Instructors only 1 good Instructor others Rookies, sleeping in truck while students drive alone, And rude no Idea how to deliver information to students. I drove with all instructors very inconvenient you have to learn every instructor way of shifting pre-trip etc... , booking a road test is bad 45 days apart from your last lesson not allowed to differ hours. You gonna have to pay for extra hours as recap/refresh lessons. even though i passed just don't want people to suffer the same. Again the 4.7/5 is fake reviews

Fantastic experience: Just finished the MELT program. I passed first time thanks to Carl, Gary, Andre, and Joseph. They were all great! I appreciate their efforts making sure I pass. I didn’t have Karen as an instructor, but she was very helpful with questions I had and she even helped me clean the truck out. Mike and Jonas are great too! Mike helped me get my hours quickly and Jones supplies coffee and doughnuts while we were in class. All in all, I had a great experience and I recommend everyone in and around Calgary to go to this driving school. You won’t regret it!

Fantastic experience: Jonas driving school has some of the best instructors in the city especially Andre he kept my confidence in doing manual transmission, the office staff is very supportive and help you find success and urge you to keep going even when it feels tough. I would give more than 5* if I could.
