Fantastic experience: The instructor is a pro, and explains everything in detail and excellence. I took the 2 hour brush up lesson and passed my drive test after. I would really recommend the driving school for any type of training in Calgary

Negative experience: We enrolled my 19 year old daughter in this class as she has very little driving experience as her schedule doesn't always match up with ours to get her out. They never told her what she needed to work on. on her second day she called me crying because he asked her after 4 hours of driving why she wasn't better. UMMMM, that's why WE PAID YOU!!! to TEACH HER!! all they did was discourage her and berate her. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL!! STAY AWAY!! she was told she would not pass a road test? isn't your job to teach her how to drive so she CAN pass the test. she was also told in order to get her certificate she would have to pass the road test then come back and show then and take follow up lessons. i had personally emailed them to find out the next steps after she took her course as they did not arrange it. they never replied back. i have NEVER been sent a receipt for the payment made for the course. if you want your new driver to feel confident behind the wheel, i would look at using a different driving school, instructors should be ENCOURAGING!!! NOT DISCOURAGING!! SHAME ON YOU!!

Negative experience: The rate is reasonable but wish the driving school has a proper payment system ensuring a transparency. I was made to E-transfer and have to request for a receipt for several times which lacks some details. The lesson is mixed of too many information. Student will definitely have tough time to process so many detail at one go. Instructor should learn how to prioritize things and there should be a feedback loop where instructor should have some heart to share what went well and what can be improved.

Fantastic experience: I had an excellent time working with Hamid. I was nervous to book since I defiantly wanted a professional and good driving instructor worth my money. I was looking at the reviews, trying to gauge who was the best driving school to work with, the longer written reviews helped the most in picking. I hope this review pushes you off the fence and pick Calgary King Driving School. He picked me up from my location and dropped me off, gave helpful tips as you drive, is very accessible via phone (for when you have questions even after your lessons), is the most calm person ever so if you're really nervous or have driving anxiety - he reduces it down. Everyone is so worried about parallel parking, he breaks it into parts that make it easy to do, but also brings up and teaches well, the other components of driving that I (and most) have never thought of (such as controlled vs uncontrolled streets). We did roundabouts, highway driving, uphill and downhill parking, common road test routes if you are someone who need things to be in advance, this way it gives you a sense what to expect on the actual test. He even did a mock road test, the two hours you spend in the car will make taking the 45 min test feel like nothing. I passed on my first try because of him!

Fantastic experience: Passed my road test on the first try. Even though I did have to take more lessons than 5, I had an overall positive experience. Hamid is not a talkative instructor, but I liked being focused on the driving at all times. Of course, mistakes were especially upsetting to me, but time and more practice helped me build confidence. It took me about a month from the first lesson to passing the test, so I do recommend the school if you’re looking for time-efficient training.

Negative experience: if i could give this place 0 stars i would. i worked with Hamid a few months ago, and chose to use King Driving School as i saw it had so many amazing reviews. it only had a few bad reviews which i pretty much ignored. it turns out that they were right. i had never driven in my life before working with Hamid, and on my second (2nd) day with him he told me word for word, “You’ve been driving for four hours and you’re still this bad?” I was very shocked as I don’t think that’s any way to talk to a student, let alone a student who had driven for only 4 hours out of her entire life. Over the days that I was driving with Hamid, he insulted me and my driving abilities multiple times, often making me cry while driving. He would also grab the steering wheel many times when I made a mistake, instead of letting me correct mistakes on my own. He was slowly ruining my relationship with driving and i disliked driving with him specifically a lot. He was quite cold to me, and also didn’t thoroughly explain how to do certain things while I was driving. I never learned how to park in front of shops with him, or how to do angled parking, both of which are important to know. He only showed me parallel parking and some other simple driving skills. Everything else that I learned was entirely from practicing with my family outside of his lessons. Overall, I had a very bad experience working with Hamid, and I would not recommend King Driving School.I would come home crying constantly, and he made me feel so awful about myself and rarely encouraged me. Please don’t use his services, especially if you’re younger and are on the more sensitive side. Thank you for reading!

Fantastic experience: Hamid is by far the best instructor in the town. I had little to no driving experience and by taking courses with Hamid I could tackle the nightmare of road test on my first attempt successfully. He is super patience with his students and not only I could pass the test successfully but also I could for the first time actually learn to drive. I had taken driving classes back in my country but, by taking classes with Hamid I actually feel confident for the first time that I can drive safely on the road without putting myself or others at risk. Negative experience: For anybody who is thinking about going to Hamid for driving lessons, think twice. He is very unpleasant, and very unprofessional. Driving instructors should help you feel confident, and have patience. This man lacks the human aspect driving instructors need to have. He would grab the wheel multiple times and very aggressively, he would get frustrated, and increasingly so during the entire lesson. Horrible instructor. Your job is to teach. If you look at other reviews you will see many people complain that this man should not be instructing people to drive. He made my experience very uncomfortable and made me feel incompetent. We are here to learn and get lessons, this man expects you to know how to drive already. Stay away from this driving school. He will more then likely respond in the same type of way (extremely unprofessional) but there are more then enough bad reviews on Hamid for you to decide for yourself.

He repeats the tips many many times till you learn them and drive safely. He does not finish the sessions unless he makes sure that everything is clear to you and you don't have any questions unanswered. Fantastic experience: Persian and English speaking driving instructor ! He’s great at teaching you very patiently and encourages you to always ask questions when unsure and answers calmly. He always shows up on time and stays on top of his schedule. He has instructing papers and small toy cars that he uses to show you examples of how you should be driving/parking . Negative experience: Hamid was a horrible driving instructor. Extremely rude, is not welcoming at all and already expects you to know how to drive. Every time I entered his car, i immediately got anxiety. When you don't know an answer to a question he immediately responds in an aggressive tone instead of educating in a normal manner. As I have read other reviews on this driving school, Hamid goes on to respond and say that "I have never taught you" or "you were never my student" so if incase he does say that to my review, I would be happy to post screen shots proving that I was his student. Hamid told me that if you have a the right of way, you don't need to slow down at an uncontrolled intersection as it is disrupting traffic which is COMPLETELY wrong, even Alberta.ca says otherwise. While i was doing my mock road test, i did not turn right while the traffic light was red and Hamid went on to say that it is an automatic fail. However there is no law stating you are required to turn right on a red light. Hamid does not know what he is talking about so unless you want to waste $600+ I would not recommend this joke of a business. I have also seen the way he talks and treats other students and it is absolutely disgusting. This man has zero patience and should not be an instructor as he cannot even control his temper. Replying to Hamid: At the end of the day the you have fed me information that puts my life at risk.Telling me not to slow down at an uncontrolled intersection puts my life in danger as well as others. You clearly don't understand the rules of the road yourself. Of course I didn't learn anything from you because all you would do is scream at me, as a new driver you cannot scream at your students not to mention spend the whole lesson on your phone answering calls, texts and replying to emails which you did for majority of my lessons, Incase YOU forgot in the agreement application that you posted publicly on your website states "The driving instructor will give full attention to the student during in-vehicle lesson. The instructor's cell phone will be off and may not be used unless the vehicle is safely stopped and the student gives permission." Also I only had a brush up lesson with the AMA instructor, of course I was going to get low points, the instructor had to basically teach me how to drive in one hour after you wasted 10 hours of my time. If I was such a terrible driver I wouldn't of gotten my license on the first try. Have a great day!

Fantastic experience: I completed a brush up lesson to prepare for the Class 4 Professional test. He addressed all my questions, corrected any errors and explained how to correct them clearly. He also gave additional insightful tips to improve my driving skills and key factors to look for. I am very happy with the quality of Hamid's work and his guidance which improved me as a driver.

Fantastic experience: Amazing school, excellent staff with 10/10 service. The instructor(s) are quite professional and friendly as well if you make mistakes, through taking their course I was able to pass the road test on the first try, I also would recommend taking the 1-hour review class before taking the road examination as well, it will go through all the ropes for driving and allow you to shake off your nervousness and any fear you may hold before the test. The online learning program is easy to use simple and intuitive I found it easy to complete and succeed with high marks would recommend it.

Fantastic experience: I had 5 sessions with Hamid Hadad and the different techniques and habits I learned from him allowed me to pass my driving test on the first try. During my test, the examiner was super impressed with the habits that I had and even asked me who my instructor was. I learned a lot from Hadad and am very thankful for having him as an instructor. At the end of the sessions he provided me with a certificate that allowed me to get a discount on my insurance. I highly recommend training with him before taking your exam.
