Fantastic experience: John was my instructor and I couldn't have asked for anyone better!! Driving makes me very anxious but he was really great at calming my nerves and making me feel comfortable! He is very patient and never made me feel bad for making a mistake, I would 100% recommend young drivers to anyone getting started!

Fantastic experience: My son's instructor Shana was amazing! She was very knowledgable, kind, patient and talked him through all of his lessons. She made sure that he was thoroughly prepared for his driving test. The office staff is also fantastic and helped us figure out the best options for instruction (online or in class). Fantastic experience: Young drivers is a great driving school. I had John as my instructor and he did a great job. Made sure to answer all my questions till I fully understood what I needed to do and also pointed out little mistakes I made while driving and helped me correct them. He also made the lessons fun and really helped me a lot with getting my G2. If it weren't for this course I probably would have needed to take that test many times but John got me through smoothly. 100% would recommend.

Fantastic experience: I don’t even know where to begin. I have had a lot of anxiety about driving, I have always wanted to, but didn’t know where to start. I was in the area one day and decided to go in and talk to someone about where to get started. I was greeted by the kindest, compassionate, lovely woman named Barb. Not only did she ease my anxiety about starting, she encouraged me and made me feel confident and hopeful about getting my licence. When I came in for my first class, I was very nervous and had a panic attack in the parking lot. Barb quickly came outside to comfort me and even asked if she could give me a hug! I have now completed my in class lessons and have gotten my G1 Now it’s time for in car lessons! Young drivers wants you to succeed and feel confident about getting behind the wheel. They really care about you. There is a sign on the front door saying “Come in we’re awesome” and I couldn’t agree more! I am so exited to continue my driving journey with this amazing team of people!!!!

Fantastic experience: Young drivers really helped me get my foot in the door and learn how to safely drive amongst others, John M was fantastic and helped me understand how to do maneuvers and make sure I was in top shape to pass my g2, taking young drivers was an amazing choice and having it with John made it an enjoyable experience. while making mistakes, John made sure to tell you about the mistake while still making it fun to drive. I would recommend young drivers to anyone wanting to gain driving knowledge and have a good experience while doing so, I would especially recommend John! Thank you YD!!!

Fantastic experience: John was the best instructor I could've asked for!! I just passed my road test today with the help of him. He taught just the way I like to be, straight cut, no sugar coating, but not making me feel bad about my mistakes. Just told me how to fix them and that's that. I went through a couple instructors due to changing locations and he was by far the best Would recommend YD specifically because of him.

Fantastic experience: The courses are very thorough and teach not just the basics of driving but also maneuverers to help keep yourself safe from unexpected variables on the road. John was amazing when teaching, very understanding and delivered instructions in a calm but direct manner. They were also very accommodating when I went away to university, checking in to book lessons for when I returned home.

Fantastic experience: I completed the full online course and driving lessons last summer with YD Barrie, but still need as some additional practice. This summer, I signed up for some lessons with Shana and my confidence and driving skills have improved immensely. Shana is kind, patient and provides timely, specific feedback to improve my driving technique. Not only does she clearly explain driving techniques, she focus on how to best support me as a learner. As a nervous driver, this has been key to my growth. I now feel ready to take the test in a few weeks.

Fantastic experience: During my time with young drivers, I learned many new skills and essential driving information. My instructor Jeff was really awesome at his job, always being clear on his instructions and making sure I understood the content or skill. Jeff is really helpful when it comes to teaching students these essential driving skills and I would highly suggest him to anyone thinking about enrolling in young drivers, not to mention Jeff always presents himself in a professional manner. I would also like to mention that Barbra was very helpful in getting started and was very nice and communicative.

Fantastic experience: The Young Drivers Program offers a great opportunity to gain experience and proper information that can increase your safety and awareness while driving. The in-class learning was extremely helpful. The instructor was welcoming, thorough, knowledgeable and there to ensure you obtained the information provided. The in-car lessons were also helpful and impactful. For myself I am not young and I struggle with extreme anxiety with the thought of driving. My instructor was very kind and assisted with creating a safe space for me to learn and gain experience on the road. I passed my road test and can now say I feel much more confident behind the wheel. Fantastic experience: I used to have anxiety on the road because of how dangerous cars could be and I didn't feel comfortable driving one, and after taking this course I still have anxiety... but now just because of other people on the road. On a serious note I went through a couple of instructors, none for bad reasons whatsoever. Both Richard and John were amazing, informative and very kind. I was able to pass my G2 on the first try and fast forward a couple months later I'm in my own car now and feel comfortable taking casual hour long drives to the GTA, whereas at first I felt uncomfortable going 30 in an empty street. The habits that are taught in this course may possibly induce paranoia of others, but it's always better to be safe than sorry

Fantastic experience: Barb and John M are the best. We needed rush lessons for my daughter Mack, before her G1 expired. Barb was extraordinarily helpful getting our goal accomplished, as we had only 4 weeks before test day! She matched her with John who was super helpful and went above his regular duties to make sure my daughter was prepared for her test!! Best news was when she texted me “I got it!!” Don’t waste your money on those other driving schools, your children will learn more from YD! Money well spent! She will be back to get G prep from John M!! Thank you so much John and Barb! (Natalie)

Fantastic experience: Great experience from start to finish! John is possibly the most patient and calm human alive, which made him the perfect instructor for me. Shout out to Barb on the admin side as well, she is a true gem. Being an adult student I can say to other adults or parents researching for their kids: Young Drivers is worth every penny. I'm glad I didn’t cheap out and go somewhere else. Lord knows we need more good drivers on the road, and this course is the one to make them.

Fantastic experience: My son Bauer had an excellent experience with Young Drivers Barrie. From the moment we registered, the process was very professional and informative. The in class time was great, timely and very well done. The driving lessons with Jody exceeded our expectations. Bauer's first time driving was with Jody and he made the process very comfortable. Jody was patient and just overall a great person to learn from. We will be signing our daughter up for this program and requesting Jody as well. I bought the most expensive package for the G2 & it was more than worth every penny I spent. I had John as my instructor, & he is amazing, well structured, & able to connect with his students, the way he teaches instills confidence in his students. I am more than happy with them, & would very highly recommend this company a thousand times over for any new drivers.

Fantastic experience: Young Drivers isn’t just for younger people. I successfully passed my road test at 49! Thanks to Richard for teaching me and preparing me to pass with flying colours! Yes, me too, I have been through other driving instructors, but they only set you up for failure, so they can get your hard earned money! Don’t get trapped in their “cheap price”! I highly recommend Yonge Drivers and look for Richard!

Fantastic experience: my driving instructor was jody, he was super sweet and genuinely an amazing guy, we got through the course relatively quickly, super comfortable atmosphere to ask questions and get amazing help with no judgement! (barb works at the reception if i’m correct and she is a sweetheart, im super unorganized and she was always willing to help me figure things out)

Negative experience: Whoever drives the red Mazda in Barrie, super unprofessional. Has a student in the vehicle, that vehicle cut me off in a 50 zone(let that slide as he’s a student I didn’t honk) The instructor decided he’s going to use his better judgment and flip me off with his student in the vehicle after I was going a separate direction than them. Showing that student road rage is more than okay. I was stopped behind another vehicle so I was able to let the instructor know that it was unprofessional with a student in the car and he flipped me off again. I wouldn’t trust my kid with this instructor. I will be calling about this Monday.

Fantastic experience: Young Driver's has singlehandedly renewed my self-confidence in my driving skills and improved upon it ten-fold. I thought I would never pass my driving test but they proved me wrong. Big thanks to Richard for accomodating for my chaotic schedule and sticking with me to the end. He is one very cool dude.

Fantastic experience: I took Young Drivers over 20 years ago and every single day I am still grateful for the training I received. From the front office, in-class sessions, to driving lessons, to test prep, to celebrating a driving test pass, I always felt respected, prepared and supported! Looking left, centre, right before going through an intersection has saved my life countless times. I now live where it’s too cold to use salt on the roads in the winter, so knowing how to drive on ice has been invaluable! I highly recommend Young Drivers Barrie! I also recommend taking in-car lessons during the winter. Their ability to help you feel confident on snow and ice is top notch. Thanks again, YDB, for setting me up for driving success!
