Fantastic experience: I just passed my Class 5 road test after a few lessons with GDA, and it was the smoothest and most stress-free experience! They provided excellent service, from evaluating my skills and managing the schedule of my driving lessons to preparing me for safe and confident driving in BC. The instructor, Ali, helped me to adjust my past driving experience from abroad to local requirements and safety standards, so I had no issues passing the test on the first attempt. Fantastic experience: I had a really positive experience learning driving skills and general practicing for my road test with Global Driving Academy. I took several lessons with them before the exam for my Class 5 license. At first, with the lovely instructor Sundip and later a couple of other instructors. All were very helpful, kind and patient. I really needed knowledgeable and patient instructors, as I am a very a nervous driver. They all exceeded my expectations and helped me to pass my Class 5 exam on the first try.

Fantastic experience: I am writing this review after I had a successful road test exam today! I am very grateful for Ali! Ali was very calm and probably the most patient driver/ instructor out there! Reason for saying this is because I was enrolled previously in a different driving school. I didn’t like how my instructor acted upon correcting my making mistakes. Everyone needs an Ali in their lives. You need someone who would say it’s okay if you’re making mistakes now so we can correct them and at the same time praise you when you are doing well. His feedback is always balanced acknowledging and acclaiming the positive and suggesting improvements when needed. His clarity in communication was also very straightforward without any confusion! Fantastic experience: I had a fantastic experience with Global academy and took classes from the school both when I was preparing for my N exam, and two years later for class 5 DL. Everything about this school is first class. The way Sonia cares about every student and is always happy to accommodate their needs is incredible. The way they approach their lessons is super efficient: the instructor would pick me up from my place, and drop me off at home after the lesson so I was able to fit preparing to driving license exams while working (I work remotely). Fantastic experience: So, after my first shot at the Point Grey road test and a not-so-great result, I was feeling pretty low on confidence. Then, I stumbled upon Global Driving Academy (GDA) with awesome reviews and reasonable prices. Figured I'd give it a shot and signed up for sessions. Fantastic experience: I took lessons from Mahdi and Ali, and passed my Point Grey road test to get my N. I started with zero experience and didn't have any way of practising on my own outside of lessons, so it took a long time to finally get there, but they're both extremely professional instructors, and Sonia, the one who responds to emails and does admin, is very prompt, which I appreciated. They're also more affordable than a lot of other schools out there. Definitely recommend trying this school out.

Fantastic experience: Fantastic experience with every instructor I had. Sonia was always so paitent with me as well, and always responded to inquaries in a timley manner. Instructors always came on time (or earlier) for lessons. They really helped boost my confidence behind the wheel. Very paitent, and always kept their cool in stressful begginger situations. Even when I failed my first test, they were all incredibly supportive. My following lessons, they really went the extra mile to help prepare me for the make up test, which I managed to pass :)!!

Fantastic experience: I am a european expat with twenty years of driver license. I needed pointers for passing the exam and Ali was the perfect teacher by giving pointers and explaining the motivations behind the rules. In two lessons I passed the exam. Forget about the cheaper solutions. I went there at first and I was more tense than when I was taking my first license. They just take your money but they don’t teach you anything and above all they don’t care about your safety. Go to global driving if yoy don’t want to lose your money.

Fantastic experience: Although I had held an international driving license for many years, passing the road test in BC got quite tricky for me. Fantastic experience: Excellent driving school for all levels of drivers. The Instructors are knowledgeable about road rules and are well versed with test driving routes. The instructors are very observant and quick to provide feedback for instant corrective actions. The instructors were always on or before time and carried a calm, positive, and polite demeanour which was very reassuring. I had some experience in driving and therefore opted for 3 hour + test day package. Mr. Mahdi instructed and guided me through all stages of the process. I was highly impressed by his teaching skills and his patience to listen to my questions / concerns. Mr. Omar guided me during the test day and provided a refresher just before the test. High competence, professionalism and experience by both instructors is clearly indicative of good company culture at global driving school. My instructor Mehdi is very patient and very helpful. He does not just show me the skills to pass the exam, but also give me a lot of good tips to drive in the real traffic. Fantastic experience: I needed to prepare for the Class 5 road test in a month because my learner's license was about to expire. I used to drive a bit in Ukraine, but it was ten years ago, and all my skills were absolutely lost. I've had very tight time slot preferences for the driving lessons. Sonia figured out how to fit all 12 lessons into my schedule. The payment was also effortless, as I was immediately provided with the payment link. All my lessons were with Mahdi. He conveniently picked me up and dropped me off right near my home. Although I've had some knowledge and driving experience, Mahdi taught me many new things about intersections, signs, and interaction with pedestrians and other drivers. I've learned how to easily make left turns even on the most difficult intersections I was previously afraid of. And Mahdi's parking hacks are the best. During the test, the examiner was surprised by my parallel parking skills and told me that my parking was amazingly effortless—all thanks to Mahdi. In general, Mahdi's approach is not to concentrate on small mistakes but to be a safe and aware driver. I like it. Besides Driving, Mahdi is also a fascinating person to talk to! He can teach you everything: starting with the languages and cultural differences of different peoples, ending with full-scale soda production (I'm not kidding). I went on my road test with Ali. He was very polite, attentive, and supportive. He explained the whole test procedure in detail beforehand, so I didn't need to worry that I would face something I would not know about during the test. Ali paid maximum attention to finding all my weak spots during the pre-test warmup and fixing them in the shortest time possible. These 60 minutes of warmup helped me a lot during the test. After I passed my test on the first try, Mahdi and Ali congratulated me just like my mom would - very warmly and sincerely. Be extra careful with the car on the exam if it is different from the car you were learning on. Although the cars are the same model and year, they slightly differ in steering and pedal sensitivity. It is not critical but should be taken into account during the road test.

Ali is a very patient instructor with extensive knowledge of driving and road rules in Vancouver. He is also very punctual and often showed up 5 minutes before the lesson. Fantastic experience: Global Driving Academy is the best driving school in Vancouver, BC. I would not personally recommend another school to learn from. Sonia is always kind and efficient, responding to calls, texts and emails as soon as possible. I also had the genuine pleasure of having Ali as my teacher and was able to pass my road test the first time from his teachings! Ali is always calm and kind. Throughout our lessons together, he taught me the confidence and skills necessary to become a great driver. The price of any package they offer is extremely fair for the wide variety of services and skills that are taught.

In each lesson, he would listen to my concerns and help me with the driving skills I needed to improve. Failed, but that was my mistake, missed a stop sign at the roundabout. Then took 1 more lesson and now I’m a proud licensed driver Learn on my experience, during your exam focus on passing it, if you’re not fully comfortable with chatting during driving - don’t do this. Fantastic experience: I had the chance to compare Global Driving Academy to another driving academy (located in Downtown Vancouver) since I started with the other one, and I can confidently say that my experience with Global was evidently superior in every way! I mostly trained with Ali and had a session with Omar. Fantastic experience: First of all, I would like to give many thanks to my instructor Ali. To be honest, I have not driven a car for 9 years. What makes the task more challenging is the traffic conditions in Vancouver, a lot of uphill/downhill, bicycle lanes, as well as frequently changing speed limits. Faced with all those challenges, Ali keeps super positive at all times. His friendly on-point advice makes every lesson a wonderful experience in life. Fantastic experience: Global Driving Academy has excellent customer service; they replied every email in a timely manner, with kind words and clear information. They always did their very best to accomodate scheduling which can be a challenge for me. All the instructors I worked with were detail oriented and calm. Omar in particular has a great sense of humor, provides in-depth explanations and has a ton of patience. This resulted in me showing up relaxed and confident to my road test. And, yes, I passed!

Fantastic experience: I took a few lessons with Global after I failed my first test (I had taken many lessons with other driving schools before). I felt I would benefit from a different instructor/driving school since I was lacking confidence after my failed test and it was great decision! I ended up passing my second test the other day and I truly think my instructor Mahdi and extra practice was the reason why. Fantastic experience: Fantastic driving school. Sonia is super polite, friendly and efficient. She responds to emails promptly and dutifully and was always a delight. Also, I was privileged to have Mahdi as my instructor for 5 lessons. Mahdi is truly wonderful, calm, informative and inspirational. I had not driven in about 20 years, having held a class 5 previously. I was very nervous and I had to re-learn and remember so many skills. He was especially adept at teaching me reverse stall parking and parallel parking, two skills I have always struggled with. After his patient instruction, these are probably my best skills now! Unfortunately, I did not pass my road test on the first try, but this was largely due to my nervousness and some bad luck. By no means was it a reflection on Mahdi's teaching. I booked another road test and requested another road test package with Mahdi. I ended up having the lesson with Omar and he was also great. He had a different style than Mahdi and a great sense of humor! I immediately felt comfortable and relaxed and he focused on my problem areas so I could pass on my second attempt. I did and with only a couple slight mistakes! Sonia was there to pick me up after and I was delighted to actually meet her in person. I highly recommend Global Driving Training. It's a good price and the instructors are excellent. Great experience!

Fantastic experience: I passed my Road Test yesterday!! YAY!! I would like to thank to Omar and Sundip for their big help and support. Both were really calm instructors which I think a new learner needs the most. I had many practices with Sundip and learned from her a lot. And Omar has an amazing teaching skill that comes with fun&positiveness which gives you tips that are impossible to forget your whole life while you're driving. Fantastic experience: Ali is a great instructor. he has a very good knowledge of the rules and the areas of different ICBC test road centres. his focus is on teaching the real driving situation not only to pass the test. he is very patient and understandable of the students situation. Fantastic experience: This is an exceptional driving school in Vancouver. I passed my Class 5 in my very first attempt in Vancouver Point Grey! After failing my road test twice in Ontario, I had zero confidence in my driving skills. Right from the first lesson with Sundip I felt I was in the right hands with Global Driving Academy. I liked the approach of learning the "why" and "how" rather than focusing on memorizing things to pass. I signed up for a package. A bulk of my lessons were with Ali - hands down the most patient and thorough instructor. With each lesson he helped me rebuild my confidence step by step in a way that genuinely helped me learn how to be a good driver (not just how to pass the test!). He was so patient, he gave me the space, time and what felt like unlimited attempts until I got it right. I must've practised reverse park at least 6 times in one of the lessons! And he was patient with me every single time. I had practice lessons with Omar the day before my exam - again, an incredible instructor, he showed me some key differences of driving in Vancouver versus other provinces. Fantastic experience: I took 4 lessons and a 60 minute refresher with Mahdi and Harvinder from Global. The lessons were fantastic and I managed to pass my class 5 test in one go. They teach you how to drive safely and also show you all the tricky roads and intersections. During the exam I knew every single road I was taken on so I felt very comfortable.
