All driving instructors are fully qualified, unlike some other companies that use trainees. I had sam as an instructor and must say that he was brilliant. Fantastic experience: Took this course 2 years ago. They're very patient and respectful over the phone anytime I've called in. I took the fully online course (during COVID) and can confirm that it was very easy to follow and study. My Instructor was Omar and he was incredibly patient and knowledgeable. He ensured I went over every step as many times as I needed to to properly learn and build my confidence. Overall I'm very grateful for my experience; I haven't had any issues on either of my road tests since.

If you are going for smart-ask for John as an instructor because he will give encouragement and help you foster solid, safe driving skills. I felt encouraged and more confident at the end of every lesson. There are a lot of crap schools and instructors out just to take your money - I'm glad I found one of the good ones.

Fantastic experience: Extremely helpful driving lessons teachers are there to instruct but also make sure you are safe, they explain every bit of the course very clearly and make sure everyone, whatever their level might be, progress while feeling confortable. They are aware of who they are teaching to and adapt to make sure everyone progresses. Once you are on the road, they will, without telling you, take some student that they see are more at ease on more highways, some students that struggle a little more will be guided on secondary roads where they can rehearse the more "basic" skills and some advance manoeuvres. Overall, very great experience, I would recommend this school to anyone doing their driving license! I came for each lesson from far away Scarborough and meet them at sheppard west subway and was worth it. Thank you so much !

Fantastic experience: I had an excellent experience with Smart Driving School. The instructors are highly professional and patient, which really boosted my confidence. The instructor provided clear lessons that were easy to follow and eventually I able to overcome my shortcomings. The cars are in great condition, and the scheduling process for driving classes was flexible and accommodating. Thanks to Dexters guidance, I passed my road test on the first attempt! Without a doubt, that they’re always there to answer questions and assist with the various steps at the Driving test centre. And I have to admit that I’m a stubborn customer they’re not that kind of businessman to take advantage from students. My sister passed her test on first try from this driving school. It’s worth to invest your time and money to this driving school. They didn’t ask me to write a review it’s my pleasure to give 5 stars. Positive experience: For the most part it’s a good driving school. My issue was with a very unprofessional instructor I can’t remember his name but he shouldn’t be teaching at all like at all. He did not teach me a 3 point turn. He forgot our lessons twice and proceeded to yell at me during one of our lessons to try to intimidate me little does he know I’m not easily intimidated. He would be on his phone during lessons and rushed me to do the g2 test. Like I said before this is a good school but I got unlucky with my instructor and should have asked for a new one.

Negative experience: Did not have a good experience. Took a full course from this company with Marina. I failed my test and came to learn that there were skills that Marina failed to teach me, including proper uphill/downhill parking with and without a curb, proper turning at intersections, forward parking, checking blind spots properly, and others. When I completed the course Marina did not inform me that I needed more lessons, although I came to find out from my own research that I had a lack of knowledge of technique and positioning for many of the skills necessary to pass the test. When I was reaching out to Marina after our lessons to ask her questions about my test, she left me on read and did not answer my numerous phone calls. When we reached out to the driving school after I failed my test, they said that I should’ve just asked for more lessons, although Marina had told me that I was ready for my test and did not hesitate to book me for the test. After failing, I took a couple classes with other driving schools and passed. l also faced constant lesson cancellations from Marina last minute during our lessons. Did not have a good experience with Marina or this driving school.

Fantastic experience: I was very pleased with my driving course at Smart Driving School. I was late in taking the course as an older driver (mid 30's) and I am very grateful to Dexter , my driving instructor for his skill and patience in helping me gain confidence as a student driver. I liked that there was a lot of emphasis on road safety and being empathic and respectful to other drivers and pedestrians. The full certificate course is conducted online and was very comprehensive and detailed about driving concepts and road safety. And it’s meticulous and provided a thorough understanding of the various components required to pass the driving test. Highly recommend and I look forward to Smart Driving School training more students to become responsible and experienced drivers!

Fantastic experience: My time learning to drive at Smart Driving School was beyond exceptional. Mr. Dexter is a fantastic teacher: he is a kind and very patient instructor, and knows exactly how to help you improve as a driver. Fantastic experience: I had failed my exam a couple of times, until I heard about this school. Their knowledge and experience for 30 years of teaching is fantastic and Calm manner and it makes learning like piece of cake Also the preparation for road test and to be safe driver in today’s driving world is fantastic so that you can pass at one go. John is the best and so available and humble. I definitely recommend this driving school.

Negative experience: The in car sessions have been very informative and helpful. The instructions are very clear and easy to follow and the teachers offer up reminders and helpful tips. I have learned a lot. They helped reduce the anxiety and stress that can come from driving in Toronto especially the downtown area and during winter. I felt safe at all times and the teachers offered up encouragement. As far as the online classes i see some people complain about taking little time but not putting any effort but the Government requirements are very strict so it needs to be done. I finished the online classes with flying colours without any problem The issue is mostly with students not the teachers. I have always been able to get someone on the phone or email and have all my questions answered. The staff is knowledgeable and helpful. I think most people wouldn’t understanding of how difficult it is to maintain and operate a business during a pandemic. If I couldn’t attend for my driving lesson I made sure to give them 24 hours notice because they have lots of expenses too. The staff works hard to get all the students enrolled and ready to pass. I have several friends with children approaching driving age and i recommend this school to all of them.

Fantastic experience: I was incredibly nervous to start driving but once I started my lessons all of my anxiety went away. My instructor Sam was incredibly kind, patient, and knowledgeable. In just four lessons I was able to get my G2 license on my first attempt! I would highly recommend Smart Driving School if you are looking for productive and amazing results. Fantastic experience: I contacted Smart Driving school when I passed my G1 and opted for the plan that will give me 10 hours driving with an instructor and the 30 hour online driving learning. I wanted to get my G2 in 8 months. Sam was excellent in guiding me and paring me with Dexter who became my driving tutor. We practiced for months from winter to spring to summer. I was able to learn all the tricks driving and more importantly, how to drive safely. I was super nervous but with Dexter’s help and a lot of personal practice, I was able to pass my G2 at the first attempt after 8 months of getting my G1. Fantastic experience: I took on Smart Driving School as my driving school for when I was getting ready to take my G2 driving exam. I did not have any expectations at first but I'm surprised with how professional and experienced they are when it comes to handling their students. I would like to mention my two driving instructors, Farid and Dexter. Both of them are very adept in handling their students. I went from having barely any prior knowledge to being proficient in driving in only a span of 3 months when I was with them. They are not afraid to point out which areas of driving you need to improve on so that you can correct yourself on your next try. I managed to successfully get my G2 license in no time all because of them. If you are looking for a driving school, look no further! Smart Driving School is undoubtedly one of the best out there.

Fantastic experience: Passed my G2 on the first try! I took lessons with smart driving school a few months ago. I chose the 20h online class and 10h driving lessons package. My instructor, Dexter, was very patient and good at giving me tips about driving. He was also open to changes in our lesson time due to my work schedule. My 10h lessons were divided into 5 2h lessons within 2-3 weeks. He booked the G2 test for me and we had an extra lesson prior to the test. Highly recommend.

Fantastic experience: Proficient teaching, in a car that's enjoyable to drive, break/acceleration felt very smooth/responsive. I booked 5 hours + road test with Smart School after having attended a diff school. Within these lessons Sam covered all the areas I asked him to and I got to go on the highway once also. On the occasions there were students in the car I found this to be helpful as we were able to learn from eachothers driving. Thank you Sam, it was nice to meet you and to pass my test with you also! Fantastic experience: Sam, the driving school owner, was very helpful in answering all my questions. Receptionist was great too! Procedures were easy to follow (registration, getting my receipt, completing the online courses, and beginning my lessons). Smooth experience. My driving instructor was Dexter. Dexter was very professional, scheduled my lessons proactively, on-time for driving lessons, patient while teaching, and willing to answer any questions I had while driving! It’s important that your driving instructor gives you confidence as you learn how to drive, so how they teach and correct you as you make mistakes while learning can strongly impact that. Dexter definitely helped me gain more confidence in my driving and I passed my G2 on the first try. Highly recommend!

Sam is very professional and Patient. He provided me with all the necessary instructions that was needed to pass my G2.
