Negative experience: Not happy with the service I am receiving here. I am paying good money to attend driving lessons and they can’t be bothered to properly make sure I have all the information I need. Went in person and I explained perfectly everything I needed, and they hadn’t properly relayed the message of my request to the rest of their team. Requested a receipt and it took 3 days for them to get it to me. I had to call daily for them to send it to me, and they said they had sent it to me email and hadn’t. I need now need a letter from them for proof of payment and they have asked me to wait an extra day just to edit the date on the letter. I am upset with the poor service here and I am appalled that they have not covered any customer check points like asking if the customer has any questions… It’s common courtesy

Fantastic experience: Alfredo - My Hero I needed to do an ERA because a neurologist reported a (healed) brain injury to ICBC. I’ve been driving for a very long time without any problems or accidents, but I failed my first test. My wife called CDS, and I got Alfredo as an instructor. I stopped rolling stops, used my indicators, watched out for speed limits and even cared about cyclists. I aced my test this morning and got my license back this morning. Alfredo is a very gifted, patient, kind teacher- I couldn’t have done this without him!!

Fantastic experience: My main instructor was Alfredo, we had three lessons together and they all helped me establish myself as a competent and confident driver. With Alfredo I become much more confident on the road and knew what you have to do to pass the road test and to drive successfully and safely. I had one session with Hooman right before my driving test and it was super helpful. We practiced driving and parallel parking, and I was also able to get a refresh on the things I forgot which was definitely needed. I was able to pass and get my N on my first try with the help of both Alfredo and Hooman!

Capilano Driving School also offers a road test package which includes a 1 hour warm up before your exam which I found very helpful.

His method of teaching is focused on detail and repetition, and he's a kind person. I had a couple of classes and the road test package with him and I am so happy to say that I passed the exam with confidence and I was able to get my full license.
