Fantastic experience: Medi my instructor was honest and very straight forward with his assessment but with added humor to still effectively boost your confidence. I would recommend him and Safe Driving School to my friends and family.

Negative experience: I am extremely disappointed. The instructor informed me that he can no longer take me for practice. When I asked why, he explained that it was due to the way I was communicating with him. I never disrespected him or spoke to him in a rude tone. So, I asked him to clarify. He then told me that he felt a certain way from the start of our conversations. Let me explain what happened: I contacted him to book a session and asked about his availability. After providing me with the information, he asked for payment before we could meet for the practice. I was confused as to why I had to pay upfront. I suggested paying before we started the lesson, in-person, to be fair to everyone. I expressed my concern about paying online, fearing I might get scammed. I just don’t trust online transactions, so I was a bit cautious. However, I realized it was a legitimate business with an office I could visit in case of any issues, so I went ahead and paid. On the day of the appointment, I texted him to confirm if we were still meeting. I've had experiences where people canceled last minute, so I wanted to make sure. He also had an issue with that. So, the reasons for him not taking me anymore were my questions about why I had to pay online and my confirmation the day of the practice. These were the two reasons he gave me before telling me to find another instructor. This cannot be the only reasons. I feel racially discriminated. He told me because of these reasons we didn’t start our relationship right. And I was like how can these lead to us having a bad relationship whilst nothing happens in-person? I am confused. I felt like he felt like black people are trouble and they always cause troubles so it’s better to just stop giving me practice before something else happen. Because apart from this, I can’t think of any reason an instructor can say that to me. We didn't have any issues during the practice. Everything went well, and we even shared jokes. So, when he told me I needed to find another instructor, I was confused and disappointed. If he truly felt this way from the beginning, I shouldn't have even started the lessons with him. I never disrespected him in any way. I am very disappointed. I will not book here again. Ps: if you’re a black person, book someone else this people don’t like us.

Fantastic experience: I reached out to Safe Driving School about a month ago after I needed an instructor urgently as my G test was coming on Dec 1 and my prior instructor had disappeared for nearly 3 weeks. When I reached out I got a reply within 24 hours and I was assigned Margo as she was closer to my location. Margo was punctual, patient and gave tough love when needed as I was going for the G and adapting from driving a right-hand drive car to a left-hand drive car took some getting used to. I took about 6-8 lessons. She provided me with all the tools needed to pass and drive safely. I took my G test yesterday and passed on the first try. I honestly wished I had found safe driving school earlier. I will definitely recommend them to any of my friends planning to take their G2 and G lessons. Thank you Margo and Safe Driving School!

Fantastic experience: I don’t usually write reviews but my experience learning from Medi was truly life-changing and I feel as though I should share it. Prior to taking G2 in-car lessons at Safe Driving School, I had such intense anxiety around driving that it rendered me unable to get behind the wheel and feel confident. I’d been in an accident many years ago when I first started learning how to drive and it was such a negative, debilitating experience that I felt I could never get over. I spent so long trying to muster up the courage to learn again just to experience a setback, re-traumatize myself, and subsequently give up for years at a time, refusing to believe that I could ever drive. I’d worked with many other driving instructors before and though they were highly competent and good teachers, it was Medi’s patience, humour, experience, kindness, ability to empathize, and willingness to get to know who I am to teach me in the manner that best suited ME that allowed me to finally obtain my G2 on my first attempt and begin driving on my own. There is no doubt in my mind that I will be reaching out to him once I am ready to start pursuing my G. Fantastic experience: So please bear with me. In Ontario, if you cause an accident and you are older then 70, you are forced to redo your G licence. Theory and road test. Theory more then one try, road test, on try, that’s it. You fail, your driving days are over. That is a long story. I looked at driving schools near me and picked Safe Driving School based on the positive reviews. Medi is a driving instructor that takes his job seriously. He told me flat out that it is very difficult to teach an old dog new tricks. Well, all I can say, he can and he did. Ask for him by name and take as many hours as it takes. Fantastic experience: I had tried 2 different driving schools before coming across Medi and I can assure you he’s simply the best. Being a very nervous driver he helped me build my confidence, he is very patient and most importantly he explains everything from road signs to making turns properly during practise. Fantastic experience: I was sent to this driving school on the recommendation from some family members and I was not disappointed in any regard. The website is simple to navigate and appointments can be booked easily with direct communication to the instructors. They are accommodating, nice, and cordial when you talk with them. The lessons are comprehensive yet simple, you are shown everything that you would need to know based on your current knowledge level and their keen observations as you drive with them. The practice tests they give you aren't necessarily done with the exact routing of the test centre you may be testing at, but I believe this serves to compound the lessons and driving skills so you can gain a better understanding of what you are doing. My instructor was Medi and I can only say good things about him. He is patient, kind, observant, and an amazing teacher. He isn't going to pretend that everything you are doing is perfect; Rather, he gives you advice on how to perform different manoeuvres properly/easily, and provides insightful advice that focuses on what he thinks you need to do based on his observations. Medi goes above and beyond for his students, helping me every step of the way with the examination process within the drivetest centre. I can wholeheartedly say that this driving school is one of the best places you can go to if you need to learn how to drive. Absolutely amazing. (Edit : Just to add one last thing, I passed my G2 Road test on my first attempt thanks to Medi.)
